Guiding Light Update for Wednesday, 11/26/97

Rick has posted bail for Abby but she refuses
to leave her jail cell. Abby feels she is
a cold blooded killer and doesn't deserve
Rick's love or anyone elses. She is crying
and screaming at him to just go home and
forget about her. She isn't leaving.

Rick talks to Frank and explains that Abby
won't leave. Frank tells Rick that he can't
give up and talks him into trying to get
her to go home for Thanksgiving dinner.
Rick begs Abby once again to come home but
she screams at him to "Get Out". He leaves.

Back at the Bauer's home, Ross, Blake,
Dinah, Hart, Vanessa, Matt, Ed, Michelle,
Jessie, Holly, Fletcher and several others
are getting the dinner ready and are all
excited about Abby coming home. The door
bell rings and Dinah answers. It is Cassie.
She has brought some biscuits Reva made
for Abby. Dinah won't let Cassie in and
tells her she will give the biscuits to Abby.
Blake sees what is going on and invites
Cassie in and asks Hart to fix Cassie a
drink and talk her into staying.

Hart agrees reluctantly (he and Dinah are
trying to work things out). Hart and Cassie
walk off as Dinah give Blake a "death look".
Dinah tries to keep an eye on them but
everyone in the kitchen keeps giving her
things to do.

Cassie tells Hart that she got custody
of Tammy today. Hart is shocked at how
fast it happened. Cassie says her wonderful
brother-in-law Josh pulled some strings.
She tells Hart she is ready for Tammy to
have a good life. Hart tells her Tammy
needs stablility and hopes she will
consider staying in Springfield. Cassie
says she plans on it.

Dinah approaches them but Vanessa tells
her to stop and to retract her claws.
Dinah tells her that Hart is hers and
Cassie wants him. Vanessa talks Dinah
into being more kind about Cassie and
that sugar will impress Hart more than
her being mean. Dinah takes this into
consideration.

Cassie leaves to go back to Reva's for
Thanksgiving dinner. Hart sees her out.
Hart then comes over to Dinah and Vanessa
and tells them about Cassie getting
custody and about her staying in Springfield.
It kills Dinah but she puts on a good act
and tells Hart that she is happy for Cassie
and will welcome her to the community. Hart
is shocked and skeptical but doesn't say
too much.

Annie shows up at Reva's. Reva tells her to
leave but Annie talks loud enough for Tammy
to hear her. Tammy comes running over and
begs Annie to stay for dinner. Reva tells
Tammy that Annie can't stay. Annie says
"sure she can, she has no where to go". Reva
is livid but Tammy insists Annie come inside.
Annie gives Tammy some presents she brought
to her. A Pilgrim hat and a chocolate turkey.
Annie tells her that "mommy" would never
forget to bring her favorite Thanksgiving
treats. Reva is furious when Annie calls herself
Tammy's "mommy". She picks Annie up and tells
her to get out. Tammy wants to know if Aunt
Reva is mad. Reva trying to keep things under
control for the little girls sake, tells her
she is fine. Annie refuses to leave and walks
on inside farther and begins to decorate cupcakes
with Tammy, Marah and Shayne. Marah and Shayne
walk off and go upstairs.

Cassie arrives and screams at Annie to get
the hell away from her daughter. Tammy wants
to know why Cassie is mad at her friend Annie.
Cassie covers well and tells Tammy that she
is sorry but that Annie can't stay, she has
to get home to Alan and her family for
Thanksgiving. Billy arrives in the room and
tells Annie he will drive her home that it
is time she left. Annie is upset and crying
a little bit but agrees to leave. She tells
Billy she has her own car and will drive
herself. She leaves.

Outside the window, from a distance. Annie
watches Josh, Reva, the children, and Cassie
and Billy have a family dinner. She is
crying really hard now. Alan shows up and
she tells him not to start with her. He
listens as she says all she ever wanted was
a husband who loved her and children to
raise. She watches through the window at
the postcard picture of the Lewis' and starts
to sob. Alan grabs her and tells her she
can have her dream. Alan looks her in the
eyes and says "Marry Me Annie." Annie is
stunned.

That is where is went off.
