by Christine Porter

The Beginning of Thanksgiving in Springfield.

Lewis House:

</bold>

Josh is on his way to see a judge regarding Tammy's custody. Cassie wants
to go with him but Josh says its better if she doesn't go with him...
(1)the judge is being nice about hearing this matter on Thanksgiving and
(2) Alan will be there also and he wouldn't put it past Alan to say
something to try and upset her. Billy says that if anyone can do it, Josh
can. Cassie thanks Josh for doing this for her and Tammy and he says its
his pleasure going up against Alan.

Spaulding Mansion:

Annie finds Alan in the Livingroom and can't wait to tell him
about the plans that she has for Tammy's room. She asks Alan why he is
all dressed up when its just the two of them for Thanksgiving. He tells
her that he is meeting with the judge to decide on Tammy's custody. Annie
is excited about the prospect of having custody of Tammy and wants to
rush off to tell the cook that there will be another person for dinner.
Alan warns her that even with all his power and influence there are some
things even he can't do. Annie refuses to consider the possibility that
he won't get custody of Tammy & tells him this is going to be the best
Thanksgiving she ever had.

The Courthouse:

</bold>

Rick and Phillip are talking in the hallway. Rick wants to get Abby home.
[Wow, when was the last scene they had together?] Phillip apologizes for
not being in court yesterday when the whole thing went down and explains
that Lizzie and Beth are back in town. Ross comes by and tells Rick that
Abby is still in shock and that she was rather calm during the whole
proceeding. Rick wants to know when he can take Abby home and Ross tells
him that he asked that she be held without bail. Rick is upset and Ross
explains that he is doing it for Abby's own protection. Roy's gang had
threatened her in the past and he wants her safe. Rick protests and asks
that Ross arrange it so that Abby can come home with him today.

Jail:

</bold>

Abby is kneeling at her cot and trying to pray. She wants to ask God for
forgivenes, but she can't because she has killed a man and how can there
ever be any forgiveness for that? Abby breaks down crying. Reva is let
into her cell...

Lighthouse Rolls...

Abby relives the shooting in her mind, she jumps up and tells Reva that
she can't even pray. Abby sobs as she tells Reva she can't even pray.
Reva holds her as Abby exclaims, "God help me, I killed a man."

<bold>

Commercial

Jail Cell:

Abby tells Reva that she can't stop thinking about what she did. She
explained the rage that she felt at Roy and how she wanted him to die.
Reva interupts her and tells her after what Roy did to her that those
feelings aren't surprising. Abby tells Reva that none of that matters
now, she killed a man and now she is no better than he was. An animal...
Abby's actions has gone against everything she was taught...Reva should
know that.

Courthouse:

</bold>

Rick tells Ross that he can protect Abby. Phillip tells Ross that he can
hire some private protection for Abby. Rick tells Ross that keeping Abby
locked up is no solution. Ross finally agrees and Rick tells Ross that he
knows what a pain he is.

Lighthouse:

</bold>

Michelle walks in on a sleeping Jesse. [Why is Jesse sleeping at the
lighthouse?] Michele has bad news for Jesse. Roy is dead. She tells him
that Rick tried but couldn't save him [who was the last patient that
survived Dr. Rick's medical attention?] Jesse says he has to go find
these guys before things get really ugly. Michelle begs him for her sake
not to go after them and to stay with her today.

Lewis house:

</bold>

Billy is trying to keep Cassie's spirit up by telling her that Josh will
win against Alan. Cassie hopes so b/c the thought of Tammy in Alan's arms
makes her sick.

Spaulding Mansion:

</bold>

Annie is sitting on the floor looking over different fabrics. She talks
about how happy Tammy will be there.

Courthouse:

</bold>

Conference Room~

Josh and Alan are there with their lawyers. The judge walks in and tells
them to get started as he knows none of them want to be there on
Thanksgiving day. He says that Tammy should spend the holidays with
people who she is going to live with permanently. The lawyers start to
debate who is right in this case and the judge kicks them out saying that
he wants to hear what Josh and Alan have to say.

Jail Cell:

</bold>

Reva tells Abby that she is nothing like Roy. That it is possible to live
life non-violently in a sheltered community but in Springfield that is
easier said than done. Abby wants to know if Reva is making
excuses...Reva says, no, she just wants Abby to know that she understand.
Abby doesn't understand so how can anyone else? Abby has gone against
everything she has ever believed in. Rick comes to the jail and Abby goes
to him and apologizes. Reva asks Rick whats going on...he tells her that
Abby will be going home soon with him. Reva tells Abby goodbye and that
she'll contact her later at Ricks. Abby wants to know why Reva said she'd
call her at Rick's place. Rick tells Abby that Ross is arranging it so
she can get out on bail. Abby tells Rick that she can't go anywhere..she
has to stay in jail for her punishment.

Lewis house:

</bold>

Cassie and Tammy are talking. Billy is nowhere to be seen. Cassie tells
Tammy that their new family has a tradition of going around the table and
telling each other what they are grateful about. Tammy says she is
grateful to be back with her mother.

Courthouse:

</bold>

Conference Room:

Josh tells the judge that Cassie is an employee of Lewis Oil and his
wife's sister [he neglects to mention that she drugged him and was on
Alan's payroll to spy on them]. He talks about how the family has had a
rough time lately with the deaths of H.B. and Sarah in the recent past.
Josh tells the judge that Reva and Cassie were just recently reunited. He
would like to go home and give the entire family the good news that Tammy
can stay with her mother.

Alan's turn: Alan tells the judge that Cassie was a stripper whose
daughter was taken away from her b/c of her husband's involvement with
drugs. Alan tells the judge that if he gets custody of Tammy that she'll
get more love with him than she would with anyone else.

Josh interupts to tell the judge that Alan's version of the truth is far
from right. It was her ex-husband that was involved in drugs and she
kicked him out as soon as she found out. She was only stripping to raise
enough money to get a lawyer to get her daughter back.

The judge asks Alan, "why do you want this child? don't you think she
deserves a mother?" Alan tells the judge that it isn't fair that they
aren't asking Cassie that even though she is a single parent. Alan tells
the judge that it meant alot for him to have custody, that taking care of
her brought him joy and meaningfullness that he has never felt before.
[excuse me?? how much time did Alan spend in Tammy's company?

5 minutes max?]

The judge leaves to make his decision. Josh asks Alan if its worth making
Annie happy if it destroys a little girls life. He tells Alan to think
about this: "Is Annie really worth going to hell for?"

Halftime

Lewis house:

</bold>

Cassie asks Billy if he is okay with them just being friends. He tells
her that she doesn't feel about him the way that he needs someone to feel
about him...head over heels completely in love with him...she says she
doesn't, but wishes she did.

Josh walks in with a serious expression on his face. He tells Cassie that
she has custody of her daughter. She joyfully hugs first Josh and then
Billy.

Spaulding Mansion:

</bold>

Alan tells Annie that he did the best he could but the judge ruled in
Josh's favor. Annie yells and asks him, "How could you do this to me? You
know how much that little girl means to me especially now that I can't
have a baby of my own." Annie doesn't believe that Alan tried his hardest
to get custody of Tammy. She tells him that she'll never forgive him for
this. (Uh, what is this? The third thing she'll never forgive him for?]

Lighthouse:

Michelle tells Jesse that he needs to go over to the Bauer house and help
support Abby. Jesse tells Michelle that he doesn't belong there and can't
face Abby after he is responsible for Roy being set free. Michelle tells
Jesse that Maureen always said that you only have this moment to live and
that its about right now and its about them.... She begs him to come.

Bauer house:

Meta asks Phillip if he is going to join them for dinner. Phillip
says he'd like to but that Lizzie is in town and he is eating dinner with
her at the diner with the Coopers. Meta asks if Lizzie came
alone...Phillip slips and says that his wife Beth came with her....Rick
has told Meta what a lovely woman she is. Phillip agrees and says she is.

Ed and Ross are talking. Ross tells Ed that he feels responsible for
everything that is happening to Abby. He starts to tell Ed that Ben is
his brother but stops and tells him that Ben is just not a very nice man.

Dinah goes to Ross and apologizes and tells him that she is sometimes a
spoiled brat. Ross tells her he forgives her of course.

Blake and Hart talk. Blake asks how he can forgive her after all that she
has done. Hart tells her that she was really broken up about Vanessa's
hospitalization and that it brought them closer together. Blake asks him
if he has feelings for Cassie, he doesn't answer and walks away...Blake
takes that for a yes.

Lewis House:

</bold>

Reva walks into the house to find the kids making cupcakes with Billy's
house. She goes to where Josh and Cassie are taking the cupcakes out of
the pan. Cassie tells Reva that Josh got Tammy back for her. Josh asks
about Abby and Reva tells them that she is in bad shape and that she'll
be spending Thanksgiving at the Bauers. She mentions that she has made
dough for Buttermilk Bisquits for Abby and Cassie offers to take them
over. Reva thanks her and tells her to hurry back afterwards.

Spaulding Mansion:

</bold>

Annie reminds Alan how he promised her that he would never interfere in
her life again after she found out that he was the reason she lost Josh.
[I thought she lost Josh because of Reva?] Alan fights back. He tells
her that he has put up with everyone being first in her life but
him...Josh, Reva, Tammy. He goes to the extremes for her but none of that
matters to her. Alan says he sometimes wonders why he does anything for
her. Annie asks him why he doesn't just throw her out. He tells her its
because he loves her. Annie has that disbelieving look on her face, like,
"Can it be?"

<bold>

Jail Cell:

Rick tries to make Abby see all that Roy has taken from her. He
describes again all the things that Roy did to her. Abby tells him that
there are no excuses for what she did. She won't forgive herself. Rick
tells her that she has to stop condemning herself. Abby tells him that
you can't love another person or be loved unless you love yourself. [She
must have been looking into psychology books there; I doubt that the
Amish taught her that]. Abby tells Rick that she hates herself and Rick
tells her that his love for her is strong enough for the both of them. He
begs her to go home with him and feel the love of all their friends.

Spaulding Mansion:

</bold>

Annie tells Alan if he loves her so much give her what she needs...Tammy.
Alan tells her that it is over and she needs to move on. Annie tells Alan
that the one thing she wants is what he won't give her....Tammy. She
tells he doesn't really know her and she runs out the door.

Lighthouse:

Michelle talks about Thanksgiving's past with Maureen and how
happy and secure she was with her mother around. Jesse talks about how he
was lucky if his dad even remembered Thanksgiving. Jesse tells her that
he'll join the Bauer family for dinner.

Bauer house:

Dinah and Hart talk about what they are grateful. Dinah tells him
how grateful that he was with her last night. Hart tells her that they
still have things to work out. They hear a knock at the door and Dinah
opens the door...neither expected to see the other.

Jail Cell:

Abby tells Rick that she can't go home with him. She has to accept
her punishment or she won't ever be able to live with herself. Rick
leaves and Abby kneels at her bed to try and pray again.

<bold>

Lewis House:

The kids continue to make cupcakes and Reva kicks Billy and Josh
out of the kitchen. Reva says they've got to make sure the kids have the
best Thanksgiving ever. Josh and Billy go out to get wood. There is a
knock at the door and Reva opens it to find Annie at the other side.
