Guiding Light Update for Wednesday, Nov. 27
       by Viv

Wednesday's show was the last of the week because of the hanksgiving
holiday.

(Josh Taylor plays the role of Quint Chamberlain)
At Co., Nola, who is wearing a very fringed vest, waits on Michelle
  while she waits for
Marcus and Dahlia. Matt hurries over to her table and asks if she
talked to Zachary, and what she found out. She says, "nothing", and
that Zachary is acting kind of weird (how could she tell?), like he's
hiding something.

In Lucerne, Switzerland Zachary pays another visit to Van. The man
  is faster than a
speeding bullet. He asks a nun how she's doing, and the news isn't
good. Vanessa is beginning to lose her sight. When he announces
himself, Vanessa immediately asks about Matt. She is anxious and
wants to know if he's moving on with his life. Zach doesn't look
happy.

At Sarah's bedside in Rome, Reva talks over the Sarah's revaluation
  about the baby she
gave up years before. Reva wants to know why her mom told her about
it, and what should she do about it? Sarah knows she'll never know
that child, and wants Reva to find him and tell him that his momma
loved him. The doctors didn't let Sarah see her son, and she is sure
the nurses said it was a boy. She tells Reva to start at the hospital
and go through the records. Sarah hurt is evident as she describes
giving up her child. There is a brooch that she had pinned to the
baby's clothing, and maybe he still has it. She begs Reva to find
him, it's the last thing she wants before dying. Reva agrees. Then
Sarah asks to see Joshua alone and won't tell her why. Tearfully,
Reva leaves and sends Josh in. Josh's affection for his former
mom-in-law is obvious as he holds her hand. Sarah wants to talk about
him and Reva.

Vanessa wants to know about everyone she left behind. Zach reports
  that Bill and Matt now
understand each others' pain, that Dinah is happy with Hart, Peter is
happy in nursery school, and that Roger hasn't revealed that he saw
Van at the airport. Vanessa says that's not like Roger. When she
asks about Matt, Zach tells her about the house that Matt is building
on Lake Geneva. Vanessa is horrified.

Michelle names all the wonderful things she knows about Zachary (2,
  I think) and Matt can
see how much she likes him. He wants her to stay away from him, but
Michelle says don't worry, Zach is leaving as soon as he finishes the
lighthouse. It's too late for Michelle. She obviously is in love
with the tall, angelic, fast-flying, advice-giving, non-materialistic,
two-tone dressing, obtuse friend to fishermen. Matt won't forgive
himself if she gets hurt. Michelle's not worried.

From around the corner, Quint grabs Nola as she walks by and pulls
  her out of sight. Her
fringes fly. In the boardinghouse kitchen, Nola complains that he's
interfering with her work. He entices her with sweet nothings about a
pottery fragment he has found. She is easily influenced. After Nola
protests a little more, Quint tells her that this is the find of the
decade, and she looks at it. She reads the quote on the fragment as
Quint looks on.

Michelle tells Matt that she can handle her relationship with
  Zachary. Matt thinks that Zach
knows more about Vanessa's death than he's saying. He's determined to
find out what. Marcus and Daliah come in and Daliah trys to get Marcus
to talk about anything that's bothering him. Marcus sees his father
and makes a sarcastic remark. Charles (!) enters and asks Griffin to
join him for lunch. He tells Griff that he's working on his marriage
to Viv. Griffin has been soul-searching and doesn't know where to go
from here. He feels his life has been based on false values and wants
to be honest about his life now. Charles is very nice to Griffin
considering their past encounters. Daliah pulls Michelle aside and
tells her that she thinks Marcus has a child. (A note to those who
read the updates regularly - In last Friday's update, I mistakenly
stated that the child's drawing Daliah found was made by Peter. I
assumed it was Petey's as he lives in the boardinghouse, and Marcus is
friends with Dinah. I thought he was protecting her by holding onto
it. Sorry if I confused anyone).

Back in Rome, Hawk and Buzz comfort Reva and want to know what she
  and Sarah
discussed. Reva says it was mother-daughter stuff. Rusty, who looks
very good after a long absence, regrets that he hasn't come to visit
his mother. Sarah tells Josh that he and Reva belong together. Josh
says that's not possible, and as he talks about how different they
are, his true feelings for Reva come forward. He can't help but smile
as he thinks of her. Sarah is not taken in by his speech. She tells
Josh that Reva will always love him, and asks him if he can honestly
tell her that he doesn't love her. Josh says they can't leave their
respective spouses. Sarah tells him that life doesn't mean anything
if you're with the wrong person. Josh tries very hard to convince her
that they won't be getting back together, but Sarah knows better.
She'll be watching over them, and makes him promise to look after
Reva.

Vanessa wants Zachary to help Matt get past her `death', but he's at
a loss as how to start.
Van says there's something that he can do, and it involves Nola.

Nola translates the pottery as Quint stands close with a hand on her
  shoulder. She is
nervous, he is flirtatious and confident. Nola talking slows as they
stare at each other, and they move forward to kiss. Nola pulls away
at the last moment and scolds Quint for acting as though they were
together again. He apologizes and promises not to act that way again.
He says this could be their best Thanksgiving together, but stops
before explaining further. She prods him and he says that J has
invited him here for the holiday. Nola is happy about it, and tells
him to be there with bells on. I wonder where he will tie them?

Charles very generously builds Griff up about his influence on other
  people and the benefit
for minorities. Griffin wants to earn back his son's love and respect
before he goes back to being a leader. Charles mentions that his son
David works for him and jokingly saays he wants him to keep his job.
Griff approaches Marcus. Marcus is nasty as usual but Griff speaks to
him softly, saying he's proud to be his father. Marcus is untouched.

Daliah tells Michelle she doesn't know what to think about Marcus
  possibly having a child.
She thinks he doesn't trust her enough to tell her. A friend of
Michelle's joins her and Matt and Michelle says she has to go. The
girlfriend looks pleased, Matt looks uncomfortable.

Rusty complains that he has to find a phone to call Tulsa. He's in
  the middle of a case.
Sarah is waiting for an answer. She's very upset at his stubbornness
and it makes her feel ill. She calls for Reva. Josh and Reva kneel on
either side of the bed, holding Sarah's hands. She tells them to be
good to each other. She knows she's about to die, and tells them they
were meant to be together, to love each other.

Nola tries to wait on Matt and the blonde, but Matt jumps up to
  escape. He does.

Vanessa is writing a letter to Nola, to ask her to find a woman for
  Matt. She wants Zachary
to tell Nola that it was written before the accident. In the letter,
she says that the illness is progressing and wants Matt to find
someone else. Zach takes the letter and leaves. Van looks very sad
but determined.

Marcus has something to ask Daliah. He wants her to change her
  plans to have dinner at
the Cooper's after visiting her mom at the halfway house on
Thanksgiving. He has someone he wants her to meet.

On the porch, Nola tries to convince Matt to have dinner with the
  blonde, but Matt is still
devastated and runs off.

Vanessa tries to look at a photo of Matt, and asks God for time to
  memorize his face before
she loses her sight completely.

Reva is falling apart as Sarah takes her last breaths. Josh runs
  over to comfort her when
Sarah dies. The scene was not overdone but very touching. Josh holds
Reva in his arms.
