Guiding Light Update - Friday, Nov. 22
     by Viv

Bridget is frantically serving customers at Co. Her hair is untidily
pinned up. Dinah enters
and apologizes for misplacing Peter at the farm. She wants to make up for
it by taking Peter
for the day. Bridget feels her true motives aren't so noble and lets her
know it. She just
wants to make points with Hart. Dream Man looks on from across the room.

Alan is complaining and whining again as the physical therapist tries to
exercise his legs. He
yells at her to leave him alone. Phillip watches from the doorway. He
stomps over to Alan
and tells him off. He knew he was heartless and selfish and thought he knew
all his
weaknesses, but never thought he'd give up.

Holly pays a motherly visit to Blake as she prepare to take the twins
home. Ross meets
Rick outside the nursery and wants to know what's up. Rick looks troubled
and says he
needs to explain something to him about the babies.

Holly says that someone should learn from all the mistakes she made as a
mother. She's
sorry for saying she didn't love Blake. Blake understands and says they
both have behaved
badly in the past. Holly still feels that something is troubling Blake.
She says that if it has to
do with Ross, don't keep secrets from him.

Rick explains that although the twins are identical, they don't
necessarily have to look the
same. He shows Ross another set of identical twins (the MacGregors) who
don't look alike.
Ross feels better about the whole thing but still wants to hear what Rick's
expert has to say.
As they talk, the babies start bawling in the nursery. They almost drown
out the actors. Rick
goes into the nursery and moves the baby playing the part of a MacGregor
into his own
bassinet, and the real MacGreg into his. Roger is observing unnoticed
outside the window.
Then Rick picks up his own baby and snuggles him.

Phillip tells Alan that he's not going to forget that he caused him to
lose his family. Just
because he's on his back doesn't mean he doesn't have to take responsibility
for his actions.
Alan crabs at him to go away. He's practicing for the part of Ebenezer
Scrooge. Phillip goes
to the doorway, where A-M waits.

Dinah claims that she cares about Peter but Jet says she knows nothing
about being a
mother. Bridget sees that Hart has come into Co. and leads Dinah away while
they talk. She
says Dinah wouldn't like spit up on her designer clothes and mentions other
joys of
motherhood. Hart listens.

Marcus is taking a shower at the boarding house. He is either singing
horribly or trying to
fix the plumbing. Daliah (with straightened hair) hears it and knocks on
the door. Marcus
opens it wearing only a towel and a smile.

Dinah isn't ready to have children now, but doesn't rule it out. She
wants to find out what
it's like by spending time with Petey. Hart speaks up and says he's here to
meet with some
horse breeders to see if he can make the farm show a profit. They are
kissy-kissy until a tall,
handsome man dressed in black walks in. He dips Dinah and kisses her
passionately, if
briefly. It's Jean-Luc.

Rick returns Jason to his bassinet and sees Roger outside. Rick wants to
know why Roger
is here. Just came to see my grandsons, he says. Roger innocently asks
Rick if he is not an
ER doctor, and why is he here? Rick answers that he has access to the
entire hospital (I
know he's been to the morgue). He says he's a friend of the MacGregors and
came to look in
on their twins. Roger looks puzzled.

Blake is ready to go. She has a little belly and is wearing pumps (ouch).
Ross arrives with a
corsage for his wife. He says he talked to Rick and explains about the
other set of twins.
Holly knows something isn't right but stays quiet. Roger pops in and finds
he isn't welcome.
Ross wants to know what he's doing there (a lot of that going on today), and
Roger gives
Chrissy gifts for the boys - 2 wind up toys. He couldn't afford much, but
Blake is touched.
Ross doesn't believe that Roger has changed, and Holly agrees. She spits a
little venom.

Phillip tells A-M that their dad just won't try to get well. A-M says he
doesn't care about
Alan any more. (Then why is he there?) Phillip doesn't want to go away and
have the
picture of his father as he is now in his head the rest of his life. He
feels that if he leaves now,
Alan will win.

Daliah makes fun of Marcus' singing and even does an imitation. The
shower has been
running all this time and she says he's wasting water. Marcus offers to
share the shower with
her, but she declines. He asks her to lunch instead.

Josh Taylor is playing Quint Chamberlain. Nola sees Bridget on the porch
reading an
article about plastic surgery. She's shocked that Bridget is considering
changing herself.
Bridget wants to be gorgeous. They sit down to talk, until Quint smirks
onto the porch.

Jean-Luc tells Hart that he and Dinah lived together in France for 2
years. He tossed her
out and is here to take her back.

Holly shouts at Roger that he's not going to ruin the day for Bloss.
Roger is hurt and says
he deserves to be part of this. Rick arrives with the discharge papers and
everyone goes to
collect the twins and a wheelchair for Blake. Rick and Blake have a moment
alone. Rick is
happy for Blake and tells her that he wants to move forward with Abby.
Things are going
well between them.

Abby is at the Bauer's when Aunt Meta walks in. Abby doesn't see her
until she grabs her
shoulders from behind. She hasn't been around for years and thinks that
Abby is Michelle.
Abby is eventually able to break in to explain that she's deaf and not
Michelle. Meta is glad to
meet her and says she's here to take over.

Quint is taking a break and wants to know if Nola will have lunch with
him. Nola says no,
he interrupted her conversation with Bridget, although Jet has her nose back
in the magazine
and doesn't appear to be waiting for her. He is staying for lunch in case
Nola changes her
mind. Bridget says that he's trying so hard, but Nola can't get past the
fact that he traded her
in for a newer model.

Dinah says that she's changed, but Jean-Luc is determined to bring up all
the sordid details
of her life. He asks if she got the trust fund from her mother, and only
slows down for a
moment when Dinah tells him that Vanessa is dead. He brings up her
arranging for Petey's
kidnapping. Steam shoots out of Hart's ears and he announces that he's
going to marry
Dinah. Jean-Luc bellylaughs and Hart stares, openmouthed. Jean-Luc
recovers and tells
Hart that love doesn't last for Dinah. Hart grabs him by the collar, calls
him Pepe (LePew?)
and escorts him out.

Marcus wants to know what Jean-Luc is doing here. Dinah doesn't' know.
Daliah and
Marcus both feel they don't know much about each other. When he goes behind
the counter
for coffees, a paper falls from his pocket. Daliah looks at it. It's a
picture drawn by Peter.
There are three people in front of a house labeled You, Me, and Mommy.

A-M wants to get on with his life without Alan, but Phillip has to stay
until it's done. He
says that Alan can't love any more than he can walk. When Phil leaves, Alan
becomes
hysterical, calling for his son to come back.

The babies are bundled up to go home. Holly takes a picture. They are
big babies.

Alan's face is turning red from exertion as he tries to lift his leg, but
cannot. He finally drops
back, exhausted.

Phillip is at Rick's with gifts for the boys. Meta thinks he is Rick and
wants to know what
happened to his curly hair. Rick enters and wants to know why Phillip is
there. He wants to
move in for now. Meta hugs the real Rick and calls him 'little Frederick'.
"I'm moving in,"
she says.

Daliah returns the paper to Marcus. He thanks her and puts it in his
pocket. She asks if it
was important. He is evasive. He suggests going for a walk although Daliah
has only had a
sip of her coffee. (Let's hope he takes a little longer in the shower).
Dinah tells Hart that
everything Jean-Luc said was a lie. They are kissy-kissy again as Jean-Luc
looks in gleefully
from the porch. He turns to Roger, who says, "Nice work".

  No sign of Leo today.
