front door

Rick and Abby are discussing her new llife and how the people of Goshen will
react. She tells Rick she's changed her mind about coming.

They talk and decide to go inside. No one is home. They begin discussing
how they met and things that have happened. Abby is telling Rick how she
feels he is a gift from God. Rick says that she is the gift and kisses her
hand. Abby's parents walk in and look angry.

Her mother tells her they must go. Rick tries to be friendly to her mother,
but she says Abby made her choice and it was the wrong one. He tries to
speak to her father, but he ignores Rick. Abby begs her father to listen.
He is surprised she has a voice.

Abby begs her father to listen, but he continues to ignore her. Rick jumps
in to help and tells them how wonderful their daughter is and how he is
happy of the place she came from. He wants them to know how he feels about
Abby and now they do.

Abby's father asks Rick if he is there to let them know that Rick is
courting their daughter. When Rick says yes, he tells him he has no daughter.

                                                                 Scene: Park

Roger is feeding the pigeons when Leo shows up and tells him he looks like a
saint. He tells Roger that his plan is working perfectly and soon he'll
have "one big happy family". Roger says as soon as he gets Hart back, Dinah
is gone, because she is poison. He tells Leo that as soon as Hart finds out
what a horrible mother Dinah would make, he'll send her packing. He says
that Ross is going to be out of the picture, too. He wants to buy a farm
and have Blake come live with him. Amanda is the key to having all this
happen, but she doesn't know it yet. "God help anyone who gets in my way",
he says.

Roger and Leo are discussing Vanessa. Leo says the PIs have not found out
anything obout where the group of nuns are yet. Bridget shows up with
Peter. Leo leaves. Roger asks Bridget to sit down and talk to him about
what is wrong with her.

Bridget tells Roger how men want the women in the magazine she is looking
at. Roger says men want "real" and that is all man-made. That gives
Bridget an idea of how to use the money Henry left her.

Roger tells her she is beautiful and shouldn't do that. Bridget tells him
to remember Julie....she couldn't compete with her and she can't compete
with Dinah. She's got more inside than Dinah will ever have, and if she can
get the outside to match, she'll get Hart.

                                                             Scene: Jesup Farm

Dinah apologizes to Hart for not paying better attention to Peter. Hart
acts angry, but tells her to foget about it. Dinah says she needs him to
know she's trying to be the best she can for him. She says she's not like
Bridget, not motherly. She doesn't want Hart to have a seperate life from
her and one with Bridget and Peter. Hart comforts Dinah and says different
people are good at different things.

Dinah and Hart decide to set a wedding date in the winter. They also decide
to take a skiing honeymoon, but why wait until after the wedding?

Dinah says she doesn't care about the wedding, she just wants it to be as
soon as possible. Hart agrees.

                                                              Scene: Lighthouse

The fisherman tells Zachary he has to get his bracelet back and that
Michelle is making him forget who and what he really is. Zach says his
bracelet is the most important thing he could give Michelle, but the
Fisherman says it's a symbol of what they are. He tells Zach that it looks
like he's trying to make up for Mary with Michelle. Michelle is falling in
love with Zach and he'll end up hurting her. Is this what he wants? Zach
yells "NO!"

Zachary tells the fisherman that he is not leaving because he has to fix the
lighthouse. He says everyone should be like a lighthouse, "a beacon for
those that need them". He tells Zachary to look down at the beach, at
Alan-Michael and Lucy. That is the reason he came, and now they are happy.
He has done what he came to do. Zachary says he has to fix things with
Michelle. After that, he will fix the lighthouse and then leave town. The
fisherman says talking to Michelle will make things worse....Zachary is
already gone.

                                                          Scene: Bauer kitchen

Matt comes to talk to Michelle about Zachary. Matt wants to know what Zach
is hiding about Vanessa and wants Michelle to help him find out. Michelle
tells Matt she misses Vanessa too, but he needs to stop obsessing over her.
Matt asks Michelle what she would have done if someone had information about
Maureen after she died. If she won't help him, he will find someone who will.

Michelle tells Matt what a nice guy Zachary is and that is probably why
Vanessa and him talked so much. Matt tells her if someone she barely knows
is more important that him and Vanessa, Fine!

Matt continues to try to convice Michelle to help him, when there is a knock
at the door. It is Zachary.....Matt leaves.

Michelle asks Zachary about the bird. He tells her not to get attched since
it will be leaving soon. She picks up and this and asks if he is talking
about himself. He tells her of his plans to leave when the lighthouse is
finished. She gets upset, but tells him if he needs anything, she will be
there. He tells her not to come by. She tells him to leave.

Michelle tries to give back Zach's bracelet and drops it. He says he
wanted her to have it. She says she doesn't want it. He leaves. After he
shuts the door, Michelle begins to cry and says "Why, Zachary? Why couldn't
you love me back?"

Outside, Zachary pauses. He turns and begins to go back into the house.

you might miss it."
