	MARLER HOME

Ross brings flowers for Blake when he comes home to pick up some files.
When Blake finds out that he doesn't have to go back to the office right
away, she wishes she would have met him at the door naked. Ross
remembers Amanda dropping her coat. Blake, "Ross, I can read your mind.
Flowers, hugs, & kisses. You were thinking of Amanda."

	WSPR

Amanda has an appointment with Roger. He arrives & tells his secretary
to cancel his appointments, but he'll see Amanda. Roger, "Ms.
Spaulding. You are positively glowing. Is it from having slept with
Ross Marler?"

	CEDARS

Alan asks Alex what she's doing in Abigail's room. She's there for the
same reason he is.

	THE MALL

Shayne points at Reva and tells Josh it's the lady from the park. Reva
pushes through the crowd & Buzz follows her. Shayne thinks she came back
to get him, so Josh runs after the woman to see why she's stalking his
children. He loses her in the crowd. Shayne tells them that it's the
lady in the picture. Marah says that their "old Mommy" is in heaven, she
died when Shayne was a baby & that's why he doesn't remember her. Shayne
insists that he saw the lady in the picture. Josh & Annie send them away
while they talk. Annie asks if Josh thinks Shayne saw Reva. Josh,
"Another ghostly comeback? No." The woman he saw was real & he thinks
it's the lady who came to Springfield with Alan. The woman who hides her
face all the time, "she's got alot more to hide than that."

	WSPR

Amanda came to discuss business, not give out details of her personal
life. Ross is a happily married man, "He and your daughter are
rock-solid". Roger, "Even rocks will shatter, given enough pressure."
Roger is on her side if she wants to snag Ross. He wants Amanda to break
up his daughter's marriage.

	MARLER HOME

Blake loves Ross for trying to prove that Amanda isn't a threat to their
marriage. Ross doesn't know what she's talking about. Blake knows that
he's her forever devoted husband & "no wolf in sophisticated clothing can
change that". Ross tells her that Amanda was never more than a client &
now she's not even that. Blake hopes he didn't dump Amanda for her.
Ross thinks she's cute when she lies. Blake, "Guilty as charged. I hate
the little furball." Ross, "I told her to get another attorney, because
I can't give her what she needs." Blake has decided to relax & let the
baby happen, her days of "beat the fertility clock" are over. Ross picks
her up, kisses her before they go upstairs to bed.

Dinah pounds on the door, then comes in and tells Ross to drop what he's
doing. She needs his help right now. Ross & Blake tell her to come back
later, but Dinah shows Ross the paper & tells them that Marcus has been
arrested for the murder of Patrick Cutter. Dinah wants Ross to help
Marcus because he's innocent. Ross hesitates. Dinah knows Ross is mad
at her and that she's hurt him and he doesn't approve of her marriage,
but don't hold it against Marcus. She'll pay him from her trust fund.
Ross isn't sure he should take the case. Dinah knows Marcus can be
volatile, but he didn't kill Patrick Cutter. She begs Blake to back her
up on this. Blake tells her that Ross's clients are his business & she
doesn't tell him who to represent. Dinah, "You can't turn your back on
an innocent man just because I'm guilty of being a rotten daughter."

	DINER

Buzz brings Reva in and tells the customers to leave <no one is running
the diner though>, he's closing the diner. He promises everyone a free
meal. Reva is surprised he did that for her. Buzz says he cares about
her and would do just about anything for her. He asks if she trust him.
She does. He asks her to level with him about her involvement with Alan.

	CEDARS

Alan is there to help Abigail. Alex says she wants to help too. Alan,
"Abigail wants for nothing, she has me." Alex wonders what Abigail did
to gain his devotion. He says she is special. She's filled with hope &
promise & he wants her to realize her full potential. Alex wants to know
why he came back to Springfield for treatment. She thinks he changed in
Goshen. He looks happy & in love. Alan tells her that he's in love with
life. Alex brings in a photographer to take pictures of Alan and the
women from Goshen. Alan shoves him out the door and tells Alex that the
women would be frightened by their images on film. Alex wonders why he
didn't say something, she thought he was hiding something.

Hawk is waiting in the hall when Josh & Annie arrive. They threaten to
have him thrown out, so he explains that he's waiting to escort Madame
Spaulding. Josh goes into the room & tells Alan that they have a
problem. The woman he brought from Goshen is stalking his children.
Alex, "Maybe that's why she doesn't want her picture taken." Alan
doesn't know what's more outrageous, Hawk's chauffeur outfit or Josh
thinking the woman is a child stalker. Hawk, "This one of them red
oracle questions?" Alex, "That's rhetorical, Hawk" and tells him to leave.

Josh wants to know what Alan is hiding. Alan tells Josh that the woman
wouldn't hurt Josh's children, she loves them. She loves all children.
Josh thinks she loves his inappropriately and scared them at the park.
Alan tries to explain, but they don't buy it. They saw her at the mall
staring at his family. Alan says they are paranoid, she probably
recognized Shayne & was trying to be friendly. Josh asks why she wasn't
friendly at the hospital, she wouldn't even look at him. Alan explains
that she's very shy & withdrawn. Josh asks what she's doing at a mall
then. Why didn't she respond when he called to her. Alan thinks Josh
scared her, she's used to gentle men. He tells Josh to go see a
therapist. Alex thinks they should waint for her & ask what her
intentions are. Alan gives her the evil eye.

	DINER

Reva tells Buzz that she has no deal with Alan. Buzz says that
something isn't right. Reva trusts Alan, up to a point. Buzz knows
Alan & how he works. Alan finds out what you want most in life &
promises it to you. Sometimes he delivers, but always at a price. Buzz
tells her about Alan & Alan Michael. Reva knows what Alan is capable
of. Buzz tells her to run. Reva says it's not that simple. Buzz asks
if Alan has something on her or is it the girl in the hospital. He
thinks Alan is helping Abigail so that Alan can help himself to Reva. Reva
says that Alan really likes Abigail. She appreciates Buzz's help, but
Alan is the least of her problems. Buzz laughs and tells her to talk to him.
Maybe he can help. She has to make a decision & she keeps looking for a sign,
but hasn't seen one. Buzz tells her that the guys that deliver signs are
on vacation in Florida. She says that maybe she got a sign but didn't
like what it said so she pretended it wasn't there. He wants to help.
She asks for the lady who reads cards. Buzz doesn't think Deenie could
help, "even if she could see the future, it didn't help her very much.
She's gone and starting a new life somewhere else." Buzz tells Reva to
take charge of her life. Forget about signs, "go with your heart."

	MARLER HOME

Ross asks if Dinah is here to hire him to represent Marcus. Dinah tells
him to name his price. Ross asks for a $50,000 retainer fee. Dinah
writes him a check and if he needs more money she'll pay anything as long
as she can get Marcus out of this mess. She thanks him and leaves.

Blake, "Tell me what just happened." Ross asks if she believes in
miracles, "Dinah just did a selfless thing. She wrote out a check
without batting an eye or bickering about the amount. She was willing to
do anything to help her friend. Including swallowing her pride and
coming to me. There's hope for Dinah." Blake thinks the check is like
"overdue combat pay for all the grief she's caused you." Ross isn't
accepting the money, he took the check to see what Dinah would do. Blake
thinks that if Dinah can ask Ross to save Marcus maybe someday Dinah can
ask him to save her "from my father".

	WSPR

Roger, "Ross turned my own daughter against me. I want her free of that
man. I want her free to find someone worthy of her love and that's where
you come in." Amanda, "If Ross isn't good enough for your precious
daughter, what makes you think I'd want him." Roger, "Their marriage is a
mismatch made in hell." He wants to work with AmandA to get what they
both want. Amanda, "This explains why Blake is such a desperate, clingy,
little thing. Her own father puts his needs above her own, unlike
Ross." Roger never gives up on his children. Amanda, "And I thought my
father was controlling." Roger wants Amanda to have Ross, he won't tell a
soul if she admits she wants Ross.

	CEDARS

Alan says they're wasting their time because he doesn't know when his
friend will be back. Josh doesn't mind waiting. Alan wants to call her
and get her side of the story, but Josh doesn't trust him. Annie tells
Alan that the woman scared "our children" and she can't go around
fixating on other people's children. Alex tells Alan to let them wait,
the more he protests, the more they'll think he's hiding something. Alan
isn't hiding anthing & neither is his friend, who is a kind, caring &
generous woman. Josh asks how well Alan knows her, can he be objective.
Alan, "The infamous Lewis double standard!" Josh, "Nobody is perfect.
Maybe this woman uses her gift so people don't see her faults. Maybe she
has a weird thing for children." Alan, "This woman loves the innocence
of children and is repulsed by self-righteous, judgmental men."

Phone rings. It's Reva asking about Abigail's operation. Josh grabs the
phone, "This is Josh Lewis. If this is the lady in the park, I would
like to talk to you about my children." Alan grabs the phone back & hang
up. He tells Josh he had no right to interupt. Josh yells that he has
every right because she frightened his children.

	DINER

Reva tells Buzz the operation went well. He wants to turn on the
jukebox. She hasn't seen a jukebox in years because the people in Goshen
aren't big on recorded music. Buzz picks some songs. Reva starts moving
to the music & Buzz asks if she's allowed to do that.

	MARLER HOME

Ross reads the Journal article out loud. Blake can't believe Patrick is
dead. They just saw him at the Towers with Marian Crane. Ross tells her
that Marcus & Cutter got into it that night & it doesn't bode well for
his client. Blake wonders if he really wants to represent a cop killer.
Ross asks what happened to innocent until proven guilty. He doesn't
think Marcus is capable of murder. Blake doesn't want Ross to believe in
somebody who doesn't deserve his trust. Ross, "He does deserve fair
treatment and I'm going to see that he gets it." He thinks it'll be an
uphill battle. Blake is sorry for taking the police's side, maybe Marcus
was in the wrong place at the wrong time. She can't believe that Cutter
is gone. She doesn't know what she'd do if she lost Ross. He can't
imagine life without her. He kisses her & leaves.

	WSPR

Amanda asks what's to keep her from telling Ross & Blake that Roger wants
their marriage to go down in flames. Roger tells her that this is hardly
news, they know he's against their marriage & telling them that he wants
her to break them up would make her task that much harder. Amanda
doesn't admit that she has designs on Ross, but Roger understands that
she doesn't want to tell a stranger that she wants to destroy his
daughter's happiness. Amanda, "I heard that you were crass, Mr. Thorpe,
but I never would have believed this." Roger tells her that the time
will come when she needs an ally and she'll turn to him & it'll be
confidential. Amanda asks if their doing business together was a ruse to
get her here. Roger, "I would much rather work with someone with whom
I'm close than with a stranger." Amanda says that if she had set her
sights on Ross it would be impossible to get him.

Dinah comes in and asks, "What do you mean, Get Ross? What do you want
with my father?" Roger introduces Dinah to Amanda. Amanda says that she
needs a lawyer, but Ross won't represent her. Roger encourages Amanda to
keep after Ross, he's sure she'll wear him down. Dinah tells Roger that
Ross will be representing Marcus against the murder charges. Amanda asks
what happened. Dinah tells her that Patrick Cutter was murdered. Roger,
"My wife is very loyal to her friends." Dinah, "The stupid cops think
Marcus did it. Daddy's going down to police headquarters as soon as he
frees up his schedule. He'll get Marcus off. He has to."

Roger escorts Amanda out and tells her that "Ross has a weakness for
noble causes & their supporters". He tells her to go down to police
headquarters and rail against the injustice being meted out to Marcus.
Amanda tells him again that she's never said she's interested in Ross.
Roger understands her caution, but when she needs a friend she knows
where to find him.

She gets into the elevator & his banker comes out. The banker tells Roger
to come up with the cash to cover his loan or the bank will own the tv
station. Roger says he's taken care of everything. He has an "in" with
a certain investor. He looks at Dinah.

	CEDARS

Alan tells Josh that his friend won't come to the hospital after the way
he treated her on the phone. Josh asks him what it is that Alan doesn't
want her to say to him. Alan is responsible for the women & part of that
is protecting them from outrageous accusations & borderline hysterical
people. She would never harm Josh's children. Annie wants to go. Alex
agrees they've scared the woman off & they'll see her another time. Josh
tells Alan it isn't over, he won't rest until he sees what kind of person
this woman is. Josh hits Alan on the shoulder and walks out of the room.

	DINER

Buzz asks Reva to dance, she hesitates because it's been a long time. He
tells her to stop thinking, just do it. She agrees & starts dancing.
Buzz can't believe it. A slow song comes on & they dance cheek-to-cheek.

	WSPR

Roger tells Dinah that his banker just gave him some incredible news.
Dinah wonders if Ross has seen Marcus yet & wants to go and find out.
Roger asks if she wants to hear his news. The banker told him there's
talk of a takeover at WSPR & the stock will go through the roof. If she
invests now, she will make a mint. Dinah is sorry but she can't think
about that now. Roger thought she would be his partner. Dinah can't
now. She gave Ross a big retainer & she has to make sure the rest of her
trust fund money is freed up in case Marcus needs more. Dinah says bye
and leaves. Roger is stunned.

	POLICE HEADQUARTERS

As Ross comes in Amanda is telling someone that it's outrageous & Marcus
is not guilty of murder. Ross asks to see his client. Amanda asks what
happened to a person being innocent until proven guilty. Ross sees her.
Amanda, "Ross. Thank goodness. There's hope for Marcus after all."

	DINER

Buzz & Reva dance and stumble over a stool at the counter. He kisses her
and Alan watches them through the door. <He has his "evil" Alan look
on his face>."
