   Cedars Hospital
Lillian asks Ed why he looks so troubled and tells him to put that night
behind him. She thinks he should take a day off.
Eve and Ross talk about Ed. Eve thinks Ed has convinced himself that he
hit Dylan and she doesn't know how to convince him that he didn't. Ross says
that the best way to do that is to find the driver who did it. Cutter shows
up and Ross asks him if there's new evidence.
Ed watches Cutter & Ross talk and starts walking towards them, but Eve
stops him. Ed says he can't live like this any more.
Cutter asks Ross if his curiosity has anything to do with a client who's
getting nervous. Ross explains his interest by mentioning the fact that he
was Bridget's lawyer and he's a friend of Dylan. Cutter asks if Ross knows
of a vehicle with a broken headlight. The police are canvassing repair
shops. Ross then goes to Ed and tells him that he isn't guilty unless he
repaired his car when he was drunk. Ed asks Eve if she had the car
repaired. Eve knows he wouldn't have hit someone and left -- even when
drunk.

       Boardinghouse
Bridget, Vanessa, & Mindy tell Dylan that the family will help him, while
he tries to tell them it's over-- he can see. They don't believe him and
talk about what he should use: seeing eye dog or a cane.
Dylan wakes up and Bridget asks what he dreamt about. Bridget suggests
going to the construction site to ask David how he's progressing with
Gabriella. Dylan wishes David wouldn't risk his neck over this since he
can't finish the houses now that his family can't help save his business.

        Spaulding Office
Alex calls Nick to remind him of the stakes, before his meeting with
Vanessa. "Alan is out for blood, so they need Vanessa desperate." Mindy
shows up and calls him her knight in shining armor for helping her
family.

        Lewis Oil
Vanessa/Nick/Mindy. Nick tells Vanessa: "We're all family now, and
Spaulding can afford to float Lewis Oil a loan to tide you over".
Vanessa says that Lewis Oil is an independent entity and must remain so.
Nick agrees and tells her that it will be a low interest loan. Vanessa
has to talk to Josh first, but he's in Chicago looking for money. Nick
convinces her to take the money. After Mindy leaves Nick tells Vanessa
they have to discuss something. Alex won't have a problem with the
loan if he can give her an assurance that Vanessa will side with her &
not Alan. He wants her to put it in writing. Vanessa asks if he would
give her the loan if she didn't -- he tries to put the blame on Alex.
Vanessa doesn't like his tactics, he let Mindy believe he was a savior,
but he had this trick up his sleeve. "If I wasn't sure Alan was behind
this, I might think you were." Nick: "I'm trying to help you, I'm doing
you a favor-- what I'm asking from you won't cost you a thing." Vanessa
tells him to go because she won't be coerced.

        Spaulding Mansion
Alan shows up to thank Alex for the party. Alan pours coffee, walks
around the room and says it looks different. Alex remodelled when she
was married to Roger. He finds a scrabble game, they sit down to play,
and talk about the party. Alan asks if Nick has explained the video to
Mindy and wonders how Nick would feel if he found out that Alex was the
cause of splitting Mindy & Nick up.

         Diner
Buzz & Nadine wonder if leaving is the right thing to do. Frank shows up
with Marina and talks about plans for Thanksgiving. Eleni overhears
Nadine ask Buzz how to tell Frank they're leaving. Eleni tells Buzz he
can't run away from his problems. Buzz talks about wanting to be a part
of the "jet set" like Alan Spaulding, but also another part of him loves
the diner. Buzz sees a young Frankie, "You're leaving again, aren't you
Dad?" Buzz had promised never to leave again. Little Frank knows Buzz
wants to leave because of the lady with the funny accent--he [Frankie] hates
her.

         Boardinghouse
Dylan snaps at Bridget because she tells him that Maggie is babysitting
Peter and can look in on Dylan too. Bridget decides to go for a walk and
Dylan starts making eggs on the gas stove with a towel next to the
burner.

Ed & Ross at the repair shop where Eve took his car. Ed searched her
purse and found a receipt. He asks the owner when his car was fixed.
The owner says that the headlight and a dent in the bumper was fixed on
November 1st. Ed finally knows what he has to do.

      Boardinghouse
The towel catches on fire, the smoke alarm goes off, and Dylan gets
the fire extinguisher, but trips with it as Bridget comes in and puts out
the fire. Dylan touches the stove and burns his hand [just like Julie
did last summer]. Bridget tries to convince him everything is o.k. since
he wasn't hurt. "A lot of people could have been hurt because of me."
Bridget says that it's over. In frustration, Dylan throws a towel across
the kitchen and says "It's not over until I find the person that did this to
me." The towel lands at Ed's feet who just walked in.

         Lewis Oil
Vanessa tells Josh that she didn't find the money-- he didn't either.
Alan walks in and Vanessa can't believe he'd come there after what he
did. "How did you get the bank to call in the notes?" Alan: "You're
wrong this time, it was someone else. Alex contacted the bank that holds
your notes and put pressure on them to revoke your credit." Vanessa asks
why should she believe him. Alan doesn't have any proof, but Alex & Nick
have "hung your family out to dry".

         Spaulding Mansion
Nick tells Alex that Vanessa would take the loan, but wouldn't sign the
paper about Alan. Vanessa mentioned the timing, but he doesn't think she
suspects them. Alex holds the bank contract as Mindy comes in, so she
hides it in the safe. Alex tells Mindy that Nick has arranged for funds
to be made available for her family.

          Garage
Cutter talks to garage owner, who says that he repaired a car the day
after the accident. "The funny thing is, the owner was in a little while
ago asking about the repairs." Cutter asks, did you get his name?
"Dr. Ed. Bauer."

Another Thursday GL has ended--see you in two weeks.
Karen
