DYLAN'S HOMECOMING:

Bill, Michelle, Lucy, Matt and Bridget are all sitting around the
table in the kitchen of the boarding house with Dylan; a sort of
welcome home celebration. Bill is busy shooting Matt nasty looks
and looking decidedly green with jealousy. David and Gabby enter
and welcome Dylan home. Dylan is not pleased to hear Gabby,
which she may or may not have picked up. Michelle, who is
focused on Matt's every move, much to Bill's chagrin, asks Matt's
advice on a coming home present for Dylan. The phone rings and
Matt answers (which is good since the caller is Vanessa). They
make plans to meet at the cabin in a bit.

David picks up on Bill's sullenness and assumes he's upset about
Dylan. Bill continues to watch Matt like a hawk, but quizzes
David on how to follow someone without getting caught. David
sees Gabby leave and hightails it out after her. Michelle
continues to fawn all over Matt as they dish up some chocolate
cake for dessert, further pissing off Bill (BTW Brian Buffington
was playing a wonderful sullen teen today!). Dylan hears voices
outside and asks what's up. Bridget tells him about David and
Gabby being outside. The atmosphere in the kitchen is tense and
no one quite knows how to act. Matt takes off to meet his
"mystery woman" and Bill claims he's tired and is heading to bed.

Later, Bridget and Dylan are alone in the kitchen. They talk
about how much hope Dylan gives everyone (where this came from,
I'll never know!). Dylan says he has to believe he'll see again
and build their dream house. He asks if Bridget believes that
too, and she reluctantly agrees. They head off to bed, which
Dylan notes is a place (along with Bridget's body) he knows his
way around with no problem...

Later, Dylan can't sleep and has walked down to the kitchen by
himself. Bridget finds him and he admits to her that he is
scared and unsure about the future.

SUPER SLEUTH BILL:

Later, we see Matt on the road, driving his pickup truck to meet
Vanessa. He badly sings along to some tune on the radio.
Surprise, surprise! Bill has snuck into the back of the truck to
follow Matt. We hear Bill's thoughts: He wants to find out who
Matt's secret girlfriend is so Michelle will stop thinking Matt
is "so cool". :) (Sorry Bill, life is never that simple in
Springfield, USA!)

At the cabin, Matt prepares for Vanessa's arrival by lighting
candles and so forth. Bill stalks him from the porch. Matt is
suspicious and opens the door to catch Bill in the act. Matt
wants to know why Bill hid in his truck and is spying on him.
Bill says he knows Matt has a girlfriend and is keeping her a
secret. (If he only knew!)

Matt decides to reward Bill's stalking tendencies by giving him a
driving lesson on a deserted dirt road by the cabin. They have a
heart to heart where Bill tells Matt he is jealous of Michelle's
crush on Matt. Matt agrees to give Bill pointers on women so he
can make progress with Michelle without spying on Matt.

Later, Vanessa waits for Matt at the cabin. Matt returns from
driving Bill back to the boarding house and informs Vanessa of
Bill's detective work. Vanessa is concerned about it being too
close of a call.

SPECIAL AGENT DAVID GRANT...

David sees Gabriella leave the boarding house's kitchen and
follows her outside. They chit chat. David tries to make Gabby
feel guilty about Dylan's accident, hoping that she'll confess to
him about the hijackers. As they talk, Cutter shows up to take
Gabby to the station for questionning. Of course, Gabby doesn't
want to go with Cutter and David also gets upset. He tries to
intervene, but Cutter basically tells him to butt out of "police
business." Gabriella agrees to go with Cutter, but swears to
David as they leave that she didn't do anything bad.

David goes back into the boarding house to make a phone call to
Frank. Unfortunately, he gets Frank's answering machine. He
tells the machine that Cutter has Gabby, and that Frank needs to
come up with a plan since David is convinced that the hijackers
are hehind Dylan's accident. David says he has something he has
to do...

At the police station, a rookie cop is having trouble dealing
with a big hooker bust (how's that for a pun??). There are over-
acting hookers all over the place because no one is available to
book them. Cutter tries to scare Gabby by threatening to keep
her in jail for a while with the sleazy people hanging around the
squad room if she doesn't start talking. He tricks Gabby into
saying that the hijackers had nothing to do with Dylan's
accident. Cutter takes her off to a room for questioning as
David enters all dressed up in a suit. The hookers are all over
him.

David tricks the rookie cop into thinking he's a special agent
and is there to pick a prisoner named Lopez. Cutter makes
Gabriella sit back out in the squad room while he searches for a
room without hookers. David takes the opportunity to handcuff
Gabby and try to leave. The rookie tries to stop them, but David
gives him a hard time about being a rookie and leaves. Cutter
comes back to find out the guy from the "Agency" took Gabby.

HER NAME IS RIO...

At the Marler residence, Blake has a flower behind one ear, a
tropical drink in one hand and a travel book in the other. She
tries to teach Ross some phrases in Portugese to prepare for a
trip to Rio de Janeiro, Brazil that they are going to take so
that Ross can meet with Dirk Heller, a Danish businessman who
wants an American lawyer as counsel. Ross wants to land a big
account so he doesn't have to be under Alex's thumb and in the
middle of the Spaulding feud.

Ross and Blake cuddle and discuss how much travel to Rio would be
involved if Ross got the job in Brazil. Ross teases Blake that
maybe he'll travel alone (and hit the beaches alone :)). Blake
tells him "No way!" Ross is glad Blake feels that way, because
he thinks it is a good idea if Blake gets out of town for the
next six months to avoid Alan. Blake is concerned about her job
as a P.I. for Frank. Ross changes the subject and remarks how
much his life has changed for the better in the past few months
and it is all because of Blake. (Uh Oh! This is a sure clue to
marital trouble in the near future!)

WHAT A TANGLED WEB THEY WEAVE...

In Holly's bed, Roger and Holly settle down for some lovemaking
as the phone rings. It is Alan, summoning Roger to a meeting.
Holly decides she's had enough of this nonsense and is going
along for the ride.

Meanwhile, back at Alan's, Jenna also has been summoned by the
Evil One. Alan berates her for stealing the tape of Vanessa and
Matt. Jenna tries to deny it, but only takes his abuse for so
long. She stands up to him and tells him off for having her
betray Vanessa. Alan is impressed with her guts and thinks he
and Jenaa were meant to work together. Alan promises to be
honest with her if she keeps her fingers off his stuff. She
obviously doesn't buy the honesty bit, but they appear to have
reached a truce. Alan reveals that he is only using Roger to get
back Spaulding, and that he still despises him. Jenna thinks
Alan is trusting Roger too much, but Alan knows Roger's big
weakness...Blake!

Getting Spaulding back is only half of Alan's goal. Destroying
Roger is the other half. Alan still wants vengeance for what
Roger did to him (helping send him to prison). Letting Roger
into the "inner circle" is part of his plan to destroy him.
Jenna wants to know why she should trust Alan since she is also
in the "inner circle." Alan doesn't have a single reason why she
should. Roger shows up (with Holly, much to Alan's
disappointment) as Jenna makes herself scarce.

In a back room, Susan quizzes Howie on all the people in Ross's
life (they have pictures of the Spauldings, Blake, Holly, etc.).

Alan informs Roger and Holly that he's lost his leverage over
Vanessa and that now he'll have to go after Blake. This, of
course, pisses Holly and Roger off. Alan tells them he needs her
signature. Alan and Susan make a big show of Alan taking some
medication (looks like Robitussin to me!) as Alan talks about how
they're running out of time. (Why Holly and Roger appear to be
buying this act is beyond me). Alan says Roger must convince
Blake to sign back his assets. Alan gets Susan to take Holly on
a tour of the house so he can ask Roger if he would object to
Alan compromising Ross in order to get back the assets. Alan
says he only wants to put pressure on Ross to get Blake to sign.
Roger says no to compromising Ross because it would hurt Blake
since she's in love with Ross. Alan sneers that Roger has gotten
"soft" and warns that he is going to have to move to the next
step. Holly and Susan return. Holly and Roger leave.

Meanwhile, Jenna clues Howie in on who Holly is (Howie thinks his
"mother-in-law is a fox!"). Jenna reminds him he'll just be
Marler in business and that he needs to learn to be Ross for just
one day; Howie would like to be Ross for just one night! ;)

After Holly and Roger leave, Susan and Jenna present "Ross" to
Alan. "Ross" shakes Alan's hand and Al doesn't think he's
perfect yet. Alan would never extend his hand to be shaken.
Alan tries to train Howie how to shake hands the "proper" way.

Roger and Holly stop by to see Ross and Blake on the way home.
Holly wants to know what all the Rio stuff is for and Ross says
he has a business deal in the works but doesn't wnat ot discuss
it. (Gee, I think I smell Alan behind all this...). Holly pulls
Blake aside to try to convince her to sign over Alan's assets.
Blake refuses. Holly tells her that she should do it because
Alex and Vanessa won't sign. So, Blake's signature would be a
meaningless gesture, but one that would get her off the hook.
Blake says Alan has been a gentleman so far, but she won't forget
that he once tried to "ice" her. She refuses to sign the papers.
Meanwhile, Roger tries to get Ross to convince Blake sign. Ross
basically tells Roger to bug off. Blake and Ross say goodnight
to Rog and Holly.

Back at Holly's, Rog and Holly are in bed, post-lovemaking. They
have disappointed looks on their faces. Holly says it hasn't
been the same since Roger started working for Alan. Roger says
he's protecting Blake. Holly questions if it is for the best.

Back at Alan's, Howie does a convincing Ross imitation. Alan
says he's earned his reward -- a life of leisure on a South
Pacific island. First, though, he has to get throught the "big
day," which is tomorrow. Howie can hardly wait.

That's it!

Lara
