HARLEY'S APARTMENT: Harley & Phillip kiss in the midst of packing her
stuff up. Phillip wants to get Harley out of her unsafe apartment, but
Harley thinks she should stay there so Annie can find her. Phillip says
Annie knows how to use a phone book. "Just let me protect you until the
wedding," says Phillip. "That way, I don't lose my deposit on the band."
Frank knocks & Harley opens the door. Teri is with Frank. They explain
that they have a suspect in the Nursery Rhyme case.

COMPANY: On the porch, Holly takes a swig from her flask & looks around.

Inside, Michelle sits at the bar with Jesse & tells him how bad she
feels for Dahlia, because Marcus cheated on her. Jesse says he invited
Dahlia to the Millennium opening, but she didn't seem to want to go.

Holly enters & asks Michelle if she's seen Ken. Neither Michelle nor
Jesse has seen him. Holly explains that the police are looking for Ken
because they think he's the Nursery Rhyme stalker, but he's not.

LEWIS HOUSE: Cassie tells Reva & Sean that Hart married Dinah on her
deathbed. Sean is outraged on Cassie's behalf. Cassie says she
understands and when it's all over, they'll get back together & she'll
tell him about the baby. Reva asks for some clarification about when it
will all be over. Would that be when Dinah dies? If Dinah recovers, will
Hart divorce her? Cassie says Hart knows what he's doing & they will be
happy. Reva hopes so. Sean advises Cassie to end things with Hart.

CEDARS: Hart catches up with Dr. Sedwick to ask about Dinah's condition.
He thinks it looks like Dinah will pull through now. Dr. Sedwick is
cautious; since she doesn't know why Dinah's blood pressure dropped in
the first place, there's no telling if it might happen again. She says
Dinah could be in the hospital for weeks. She attributes Dinah's
recovery to Hart marrying her.

In Dinah's room, Bill confronts Dinah about taking Vanessa's blood
pressure pills to make herself sicker & says she could have killed
herself. Dinah weakly denies doing it & asks Bill to give her the pills.
Bill refuses, worrying that Dinah will take more. He doesn't know why
Dinah did it, but he's going to go tell the doctors before she gets any
worse. Dinah tries to stop him, but Bill refuses to let her kill
herself. Dinah says if Bill shows the pills to the doctors, he will kill
her.

Bill says the doctors need to know what's in Dinah's system so they can
help her. Dinah says she's getting better now. Bill disagrees. Who knows
how much damage she's done? Dinah says it's only temporary & Dinah is
overreacting. Bill doesn't think so. Dinah says she has it under
control. She can feel that she's getting stronger. Bill asks why she
almost died if she's in such control. Dinah says it wasn't the pills
that almost killed her; it was that she had lost the will to live. But
she's got it back now because Hart married her. Hart enters & Bill
stares at Dinah.

Hart asks if something's wrong. Bill passes the buck to Dinah, who says
she's great now that her husband is there. Bill says Dinah seems much
better now. Dinah encourages Hart to go home & get some rest. He
protests, but finally agrees to leave for a little while. Dinah thanks
Bill for keeping his mouth shut. Bill says he hasn't decided what he's
going to do yet. He has to live with it if the drugs in Dinah's system
cause her to have a relapse. Dinah says if Bill loves her, he'll keep
quiet.

MILLENNIUM: Selena arrives with a delivery from the diner. No one seems
to be there. Finally, Selena finds Mick. She says the place looks pretty
good. Mick says they're opening tomorrow. He asks if she'd be interested
in moonlighting as a cocktail waitress. (He lost 2 because they weren't
interested in a menage a trois with him.) Selena isn't interested. Mick
says the salary is $100 per night, plus tips. Selena says she could use
the money because she's looking for her daughter. Mick urges her to take
the job, but Drew arrives & says Selena works there over her dead body.

COMPANY: David literally runs into Dahlia with a couple of boxes. He's
moving into the boardinghouse. Now that his dad is doing better, he's
getting out from under his mom's annoying thumb. Dahlia wonders if David
will get Marcus's old room. David thinks that would be ironic. He
apologizes about what happened when he gave her the news about Marcus.
Dahlia says she overreacted. David says he didn't mean to treat her like
a kid & make everything worse. To make it up to her, he called Marcus.
"You did what?!" exclaims Dahlia.

At a table, Holly tells Michelle & Jesse how ridiculous it is that the
cops think Ken is the stalker. He's warm & gentle. Michelle thinks Holly
is wrong. It's natural for Holly to want to protect her brother, but the
police must know something. Jesse reminds Michelle that the police often
go after the wrong people. Michelle informs Jesse that Ken just got out
of a mental institution after 25 years, where he was sent after he tried
to kill her father. Holly hangs her head. "He is capable of violence,"
says Michelle.

HARLEY'S: Harley is glad to hear the stalker is an equal-opportunity
kind of person. Phillip asks what reason Ken would have for wanting Ben
dead. Frank says Ken has seen Ben tear his family apart. Harley can't
imagine why Ken would have anything against her or Cassie, since they've
never met him. Frank says they're not sure yet; they just got the lead.
Harley thinks it's a waste of time. She's still sure it's Annie. Teri
says they can't ignore the clues that point to Ken. Frank adds that Ken
is now conveniently missing. Harley still thinks Ken would have no
reason to hurt people he didn't know, and why would he leave dead
flowers on his sister's doorstep? Frank says Ken is unstable, so there's
no accounting for his motives. Phillip asks Harley if she's sure she
doesn't know Ken. Teri hands her a photo. "Oh my god," says Harley.
"This guy tried to kill me."

CEDARS: Dinah tells Bill that if he keeps her secret, it's the most
important thing he could do for her. "Even if it kills you?" he asks.
Dinah insists that she's not dying. She's too happy to die. Bill is
unsure. Dinah tells Bill how much the baby meant to her. Hart was the
person who gave her that baby, just like he's given her so many things.
He taught her that she was a good person, worthy of being loved. She
says Hart wanted the baby, and losing it was an accident. She knows the
baby would have brought her & Hart together. After the miscarriage, she
wanted to die. "Losing my baby was horrible enough; I can't lose Hart
too." Bill says Hart has caused Dinah so much pain & she can find
someone better. Dinah says Hart is everything to her, now that she's
lost her baby. If Bill tells the doctors about the pills, Hart will find
out & he'll leave her again. She'll have nothing. Bill says he & Vanessa
& Ross all love Dinah. Dinah says that's not enough; Hart makes her feel
like a whole person. Without him, she's not worth saving. Bill
disagrees.

Dinah reminds Bill that he said she could get sick again. She admits
that she's still very shaky & she knows that if he takes Hart away from
her, she will die.

LEWIS HOUSE: Cassie says Hart thinks Dinah will die if he leaves her
now. Sean laughs. Reva thinks marrying Dinah was a little extreme. Sean
urges Dinah to dump Hart. Reva says they're just concerned about Cassie,
because Hart seems to be putting Dinah's interests first. Cassie says
they discussed it before Hart did it. She says they both feel
responsible for Dinah's condition & can't get on with their own lives
until they do everything possible to save Dinah's. Reva doubts that
Dinah will ever be ready to give Hart up. Cassie wishes that Sean & Reva
would stop ganging up on her. Sean doesn't get why 2 otherwise
intelligent women keep falling for Hart's games. Cassie says it's not a
game; Dinah could die. Reva asks what Hart will do if Dinah pulls
through, and where does Cassie's baby fit in to all this. Cassie doesn't
want to talk about it anymore.

The doorbell rings & Reva admits Hart. Sean sarcastically calls him the
"blushing groom." Hart says he came to talk to Cassie. Sean asks if
Dinah is better. Hart says she's not out of the woods yet, but she's a
little better. Sean had no idea that Hart had the power to save Dinah's
life. Hart just wants to talk to Cassie. Reva & Sean leave the room.

Hart gathers that Cassie told them about the marriage. Cassie says they
don't understand. Hart can't believe how good Cassie has been about all
this. She asks how Dinah is & Hart says she practically threw him out of
the hospital. Cassie thinks that's great & asks when Dinah will be
getting out of the hospital so they can get the marriage annulled. Hart
says he spoke to the doctors & Dinah's health is very intertwined with
the marriage. "It's very complicated." Cassie hates complicated. A lot.

MILLENNIUM: Drew thinks Selena has some nerve begging for a job. Selena
says Mick offered. Drew goes ballistic. She tells Mick that Selena
threatened to bring her working girlfriends over to ruin their business.
Mick thinks it's funny. Drew tells Selena to get out. Selena says she
would never work for a "snotty gutter-snipe" like Drew. The most
expensive clothes in the world can't hide trash. Drew is outraged, but
Selena remains smooth. She wishes Mick good luck with the club &
departs. Drew tells Mick that she's in charge of hiring. Mick says he
couldn't resist; they desperately need help & Selena fits the desperate
category. She needs cash to find her daughter who was taken away from
her as a kid. It's the only family she has in the world. Drew is
strangely silent.

COMPANY: Dahlia throws David's boxes back at him, angry at him for
butting into her business. David thought he might be able to do some
good by telling Marcus how much Dahlia loves him. Dahlia says David
isn't her counselor or her friend, so he should just keep out of it.
David saw how much Dahlia was hurting & thought pride would keep her
from making the first move. Dahlia asks if she's just supposed to
forgive Marcus. David didn't mean that. Dahlia says David did his job &
it's over, so he should just leave it alone. David says he only did what
he would do for his own sister. Dahlia didn't ask for a brother & asks
David to just stay out of her life.

Jesse asks why Ken shot at Ed. Holly says it was a long time ago.
Michelle says it matters to her, and besides, Holly hasn't spent much
time with Ken in the last 20 years. Jesse leans toward Holly's side,
saying that Ed does tend to hold grudges. He thinks they can help Holly
look for Ken. Michelle thinks they might be out of time.

HARLEY'S: Harley says Ken cut her off when she was driving to a Second
Chances meeting a few weeks ago. He freaked out at her & then followed
her for several miles before she managed to shake him. But, Harley
points out, the poisoned fruit basket had a note signed by Don Minyard.
How would Ken have known about him? Frank says Ken could have been
following her for days. Harley asks why Ken might have done something to
Holly. Teri notes that Ken has been critical of both Holly & Blake's
parenting skills. Teri wants to bring Ken in ASAP & advises Harley to
lay low in the meantime. Phillip is worried that the stalker intends to
kill someone.

CEDARS: Bill helps Dinah drink some water & tells her she's being
melodramatic. Dinah says something spiritual happened to her when her BP
dropped. She felt a peacefulness, but something stronger kept her from
going. Hart brought her back. She could hear his voice & feel his love &
it made her fight for her life. She begs Bill to keep her secret. Bill
reluctantly agrees, but he also says he's holding on to the pills, so
Dinah won't have any more relapses. Dinah thanks him. Bill says if Dinah
gets worse & her life is in danger, all bets are off. He kisses her
cheek & leaves. Dinah breathes a sigh of relief. She realizes she has
Hart to live for & no one will take him away from her, ever.

LEWIS HOUSE: Hart says Dinah's recovery time will be longer than he had
expected. Cassie says if Dinah's not dying, she doesn't need Hart.
Hart's not sure. Cassie asks how long they're talking about. Hart says
it could be a few weeks or a couple of months. Cassie is outraged. Hart
doesn't know what he's going to do. Cassie says Dinah got her way, even
if she had to almost die to do it. She can't believe she was defending
Hart to Reva & Sean. Hart says Cassie has to believe they're going to be
together. Cassie doesn't think so. Dinah really has her hooks into Hart.
Hart says it almost sounds like a small part of Cassie wishes Dinah
hadn't made it. Cassie won't even dignify that with a reply. Dinah is
sick & has Hart chained to her bedside. Hart thought Cassie understood.
"I lied," replies Cassie. "She wants you & now she has you. So go!" Hart
doesn't want to leave, but Cassie yells at him to go & pushes him. Hart
pushes back, and Sean runs into the room, yelling at Hart to get away
from Cassie.

MILLENNIUM: Drew walks to the front room & finds Selena there, smoking
at the bar. Selena & Drew both say they don't want to fight. Drew says
they will never be friends, but without an experienced waitress, she's
screwed on opening night, so she's offering Selena the job for $300 plus
tips. Selena thinks this sounds like a lot. Drew says if it works out
there might be more nights. Selena agrees, but only if she can invite
some of her old girlfriends. She's just kidding. Drew asks her to show
up on time & wear something modest. Selena agrees & leaves for real this
time.

Drew tells Mick what she offered Selena. He says he only offered her
$100. Drew thought she'd give the old lady a break. Mick says if Drew
keeps up being such a softy, people might think she has a heart.

HARLEY'S: Frank is worried about Harley & says he will have a squad car
keep an eye on her building. Harley thinks Frank is overreacting & she
doesn't think the stalker is Ken. Teri says better safe than sorry.
Frank & Teri leave.

In the hall, Frank starts to bark out orders, but Teri interrupts. She
says she & Frank have to sit down & talk about the "kiss thing," because
he's driving her nuts & she can't work this way.

Back in the apartment, Harley says Frank is driving her crazy. She wants
to go get something to eat. Phillip doesn't want her to go out alone.
Phillip says he'll get the food. He doesn't want anything to happen to
her. He leaves. Someone is watching in the hall as Phillip tells Harley
to lock the door. Phillip leaves and the watcher approaches Harley's
door.

LEWIS HOUSE: Sean doesn't want to see Hart manhandle Cassie. He tells
Hart to get out. Hart says they were having a private conversation. Sean
says he's sick of the way Hart deals with people. He made both Dinah &
Cassie think he's in love with them, & he's causing a lot of pain. He
offers to throw Hart out. Hart says he's still talking to Cassie, but
she says she's done talking to him. Hart heads for Cassie, but Sean cuts
him off & they start tussling. Sean can't believe Hart would "manhandle"
Cassie like that "in her condition." Hart asks, "What condition?" "You
idiot, she's pregnant," says Sean. Hart & Cassie stare at each other
wordlessly.

COMPANY PORCH: Dahlia storms outside, claiming that she doesn't want
David to talk to her or about her. David follows & says he's got the
message. Dahlia goes back inside. David looks at the sky and asks "Is it
me?"

Inside, Michelle agrees to help look for Ken. Holly is sure that once
they find Ken they will be able to prove he's innocent. Jesse wonders if
Ken would have left town if he knew the cops were after him. Holly's not
sure. But she's worried that if someone threatens him, he might lash
out.

HARLEY'S: Harley looks out the window, but sees nothing. She's really
hungry. She sees Phillip's wallet on the table & laughs. "The guy runs a
multimillion-dollar corporation & he can't even remember to keep his
wallet in his pocket," she laughs. She pulls out a credit card & thinks
a lesser woman would be on her way to Paris right now. She hopes he has
enough cash to pay for the food.

There's a knock at the door, so she runs to answer it. It's Ken. "You're
very popular, Harley Cooper, but I finally got you alone," he says. He
pushes his way in the door. Harley tries to stop him, but the door
closes behind Ken as the screen fades to black.
