               THE PREMIER EDITION OF
THE ALL NEW HOLLY, RICK AND A-M LOVERS TUESDAY UPDATE
-----------------------------------------------------
Well, this is my first time doing a GL Update, so please excuse the
length. You'll notice that I got a lot less verbose as I went on and by
the last scene I was able to summarize the action in one or two
sentences. I promise that future updates will be much less of a burden
on your bandwidth - and your time (not to mention mine). BTW, it wasn't
until I finished this update that I was informed that - I don't get paid
for this. So I felt the least I should get out of this is a little free
PR for my favorite GL characters - which explains the title. All comments
and suggestions will be welcomed!

SUMMARY: (for those of you who don't have two free hours to read the
long version)

Rick gets kissed
A-M gets p*ssed
Deenie gets missed
Alan gets dissed
Oh, yeah and...
Josh proposes
Brent disposes (yuck)
Frank dozes
Reva almost remembers
And Holly isn't on today :-(

DOCKS
Frank catches MariBrent in the process of disposing of Deenie's' body.
(Well, actually, if it were anybody but Frank i.e. anyone who wasn't five
cents short of a nickel in the brains department, they would have caught
him.) Frank, on the other hand, is worried that the delicate flower will
be attacked by some mad serial killer or rapist, and advises her not to
hang around dark docks all alone. MariBrent expresses his gratitude to
the big lug. They flash on Deenie's dead face just to remind us of
yesterday's brutal murder, in case we forgot. Thanks, guys! Yes, we know
Deenie's dead. :(You don't have to rub it in. At least not on the day
that I'm doing the updating, please. One more shot of DeadDeenie :-( and
I'm going to refuse to finish this update - unless I get paid time and a
half! (Uh...er...we *do* get paid for this, don't we?)

GOSHEN
Alan and Revecca with no kissing (thanks PTBs). Alan doesn't like the
fact that Abigail wants to go to SF. He thinks they can talk her out of
it. Reva calls him a liar and he's crushed. (Never heard that one before,
eh Alan? Now that I realize what a sensitive man you are I'll stop bashing
your kissing scenes!) Reva wants to know why he's trying to keep her out
of SF. 'Is there something you're trying to hide?'

LEWIS JET
Josh calls Vanessa from the plane on the way to Mexico. Admits he's been a
jerk lately with Annie and plans to throw himself at her feet and beg for
forgiveness...(Do you think she'll do her famous table-dance on your back
while you're down there, Josh? BTW, we owe Josh's enlightenment to dear
old H.B.- hope to see you again, soon, H.B. Next time see if you can get
Josh to admit he's also been a bore lately.)

MEXICO
AAAAAHhhhhhhh! Rick scene!!! Yeah!!! My first update and I get to do a
Rick scene! I was so startled I couldn't find the pause button on my VCR.
Yes, as the scene opens he's once again in those shorts, but he also has a
shirt on today - he's still gorgeous, the shirt's not buttoned and he's
getting ready to kiss Annie! Let's rewind that. Yes, that was a kiss.
Those soulful eyes, staring into mine..er...Annie's... For the first time
I'm beginning to regret the fact that I turned down the role of Annie when
GL offered it to me. Let's rewind that again. I was so busy typing I
didn't *really* get to watch the scene. Yes, a very nice kiss. And
Annie's mouth wasn't open nearly as wide as it usually is in her scenes
with Josh. (I hope you enjoyed it Rick, cause you won't be getting many
more of them for a while :-( Oh, sorry for that tangent. For those of you
who are more interested in the scene than in my comments, let me give you
the details. Annie and Rick kiss. Annie puts her arms under his shirt so
she can feel that gorgeous back of his as they move into an embrace. They
kiss some more...

ROLL LIGHTHOUSE

MEXICO
Rick and Annie are finishing up their kiss, and Annie pulls away and walks
inside (did I forget to mention that they were standing outside when they
kissed in the first scene?)
Annie: What was that? (Wiping her lips, yet! The girl's not only a bit dense,
and has doubtful taste in men, but she's insulting to boot!)
Rick: A kiss between two people who really care about each other.
(Uh...make that A kiss between one gorgeous, intelligent, sensitive,
hysterically funny guy and a woman who only becomes tolerable when seen
through *your* eyes', sweetie.)
Annie: But we came here to get a divorce. (Yeah, right. Correct me if I'm
wrong here, Annie, but I believe Rick could have handled the divorce by
himself!)
Rick: We're still married. We're not the first exes to fall back into each
other's arms.
Annie: Yeah, like an old comfortable habit, I guess. (Ouch! Cut that out,
Annie!)
Rick looks devastated and at least Annie then has the grace to mumble
something about not meaning that the way it sounded'. Rick of course
tries to make *her* feel better for being such an insulting, thoughtless,
bi...er..person.
Annie: As I remember it was a pretty good habit...it was a ... GREAT habit
(I can only imagine. Okay, Annie, you've redeemed yourself a bit. You
made Rick smile.)
[Well...I just don't know if I can go on with this update. Sorry. I'm going
to have to rewatch this part a few times, in case I missed any important
details.]
Okay. I'm back.
Rick: Yeah, we had some good times...in the beginning.
Annie: Remember those times when we'd lie in bed laughing... I don't think
I've ever laughed so much in my life (Yeah, think about that, Annie!)
They reminisce about her 'neatnick phase', his smelly sneakers 'those
sneakers were my children' (undoubtedly an MO'L ad-lib) and then:
Annie: Thanks for sticking with me through all those bad times.
Rick: What's a husband for?
Annie: You are the best soon-to-be ex-husband a girl could ask for.
Rick stares at Annie and she asks him why.
Rick: You look as beautiful right now as the day I married you. Cut to...

DOCKS
MariBrent is with Frank, and soon realizes he has nothing to fear from the
dullard, so he takes his wig off to let his scalp breath a bit, aahhh,
that feels better. Why not loosen that corset, too. Now... Why is MB on
the docks? Why she got lost, of course! She's looking for A-M's yacht,
so she can comfort Lucy. She couldn't sleep what with worrying about dear
Lucy! Frank offers to give her a message - and to hold his wig for him.
He admonishes MB for being careless. Some bad things have happened here.'
Frank asks MB if she's seen anything suspicious. MB asks 'What was the
crime?' Well, you had to ask that, didn't you? What's the crime? This
whole MMM story line is the crime, that's what!!!!! Culminating in the
callous murder of Deenie, after forcing her to endure yet another
rejection by Buzz...but I digress... Frank responds to MMM that the crime
was 'Murder'. Cut to..

SPAULDING
We cut to the incomparably adorable A-M with a ranting Alex, she's pouring
herself a much needed drink and yelling 'Your father, your father'. A-M
asks if this has anything to do with Amanda showing up at the meeting the
other day. Why, yes, it does. Alex will not go down without a fight. A-M
tries to give her a hint that he has more important things to worry about
right now. But Alex wants Alan declared legally insane, and won't listen
to the cutie. (That's okay A-M, *we're* listening. See you again in a
bit...I hope!)

GOSHEN
Al baby (as Hawk would say) and Reva again. They continue the argument
about why he's trying to keep her away from SF. Alan continues to lie to
her. He doesn't want her hurt, Josh walked out on her time and time
again, the people in SF are judgmental, self-righteous etc. they'll call
her 'the slut of SF'. He claims he loves her. Cut to commercials

CASCADE, PAMPERS, EX-LAX, DISNEY MELODY LIGHTS GO-ROUND, SPECIAL K

GOSHEN
Alan tells her he loves her again several times. She questions his
motives. He accuses her of being suspicious. He says he loved her despite
her 'sinful little soul'. Reva: Do our shared misdeeds bind us together
forever? Etc. etc. Reva says that Abigail is pure and she relies on Reva.
Alan repeats again that he loves her. Reva: You haven't asked me if I love
you. Doesn't that matter to you. Alan: You're the only thing that
matters to me.' They hear Abigail cry out in her sleep 'Momma'. Reva says
that there's something floating around in the back of her brain and she
can't quite put her finger on it. Well, we won't find out in this scene.
Maybe the next one. Cut to...

LEWIS HOUSE
Marah can't sleep and comes downstairs. Hawk and she have a real sweet
little chat, with very touching music playing in the background. They talk
about how her doll baby is feeling sick, and it misses it's mommy. Hawk
gets her to admit that she misses her momma, too.
Marah: Mommas make everything okay.
Hawk: They sure do, honey. That's why the good lord gave em to us.
Hawk was unusually sympathetic in this scene. When Marah talked about
Annie he didn't even refer to her as that Mutton woman'. Marah, of
course, is a cutie as always. Finally, Hawk diagnoses the doll's problem as
'cookies and milkitis' and takes Marah and her doll to the kitchen for a
snack. Ahhhhh, that was nice. Cut to...

MEXICO
Get ready for the big let down Rick. Remember, I'm here for you :-( Let
me remind the viewer how the last Rick/Annie scene ended - since we've had
six other scenes in between, I had to go back and check it out myself!
Rick had just told Annie that she looked as beautiful as the day they were
married.
Annie: I don't know what to say. You've always been so wonderful...such
a comfort...
Rick: But I should quit while I'm ahead..
Annie: I love what we have together...I love the friendship...I love the
respect. We fought long and hard
Rick: We've got the battle scars to prove it..
Annie: It wouldn't be hard to fall into your arms again for just one night
(No, I don't imagine it would be!)
Rick: We'd just wake up in the morning and regret it, right? (Rick is looking
down sadly at this point) Bwaaah <sniff>
Annie: Please don't kid about it (does he LOOK like he's kidding,
Annie?)...I don't want to lose you...not again
Rick: What if it just wasn't one night...would that make you feel any
different?
Annie looks like she's giving this some thought but then we cut to Josh out
on the porch of their cottage' getting ready to enter, and we know <sigh>
it's not to be. But we don't know for sure, yet because... We cut to
Commercials.

[I was just informed that we don't have to update on the commercials, so
I'm going to FF them]

Geez, are we half way through yet? Not that I don't enjoy watching GL,
but this starting and stopping the tape gets tough - not to mention the
constant rewinding....whew! This updating ain't no easy job!

COMMERCIAL - Get steppin' - I want you out of my life' - Next Tempest.
(Just thought I'd throw that in as a reminder, folks. This is what we
have to look forward to if they cancel GL.)

MEXICO Rick and Annie are sitting together on the couch - looking like
they're ready to get cozy... and Annie says 'Rick...what are you trying to
say?' BTW, when we last left R/A, Rick had just said what if it isn't just
for one night'. Now I could be wrong, here, but it looked to me like
Annie was interested. But...too late... Josh bangs on the door yelling
their names and they both stand up - Annie's mouth immediately starts
gaping. They let him in and Josh starts apologizing, admitting what a dope
he's been, saying he accepts Annie for everything she ever does or ever
will do and he loves her with all his heart and soul etc. etc. Annie's
hanging on every word, just as her mouth is hanging open, and the best
part about this scene are the closeups on Rick as he stands on the
sidelines and watches, his heart breaking, holding back the tears <sniff,
sniff>. Josh gets down on his knees and proposes to Annie. Poor Rick
stands there and watches (Why, Rick, Why? I have to watch this to do the
update, but you could leave!) Well, I guess Rick's still hoping she'll say
no....but - Annie says yes. Then, when Rick tries to walk out, Josh the
insensitive lout calls Rick back and thanks him for taking care of
Annie!!! Then we have to watch Josh and Annie gushing and kissing- but
it's only a few seconds if you FF it.... Cut to..

SPAULDING
A-M and Alex. Well, now, I'm kind of resenting the fact that I have to be
doing the update right now, and I'll tell you why. Here we have one of
the few A-M scenes in a good long time where he's allowed to show some of
that old A-M spark (and what better way to show spark than to fight with
Alex)...and I can't look at the screen!!! Well, I guess I'll just have to
rewind again. Ah, yes, there's that adorable A-M smile, those dimples,
those raised eyebrows, that sarcastic laugh. I love you A-M!! Alex tells
A-M that his father Alan is crazy and is living in a religious community.
A-M says 'Hey, maybe he's going to repent for all his sins'. A-M covers
his ears during much of Alex's rant (so of course I do the same) and then
he yells I don't want to hear this, okay'. Then he tells Alex to leave
before he loses his temper, and promptly loses his temper (that's the A-M
we all know and love). Give it to her A-M! He says that he has other
things in his life to think about. Alex asks 'What's more important than
Spaulding?' Enter, the old spunky Lucy who we haven't seen in the last
year or two, who yells, ' Me!!!! I think he means, me!' She tells Alex
that she's HIV+, and that it happened when she was raped 'by Brent
Lawrence, one of the up-and-coming Spaulding Executives. Now what were
you saying about important things?' Cut to...

DOCKS
Frank and MB again. And they couldn't resist another shot of DeadDeenie,
so I *am* expecting that time and a half! MB asks Frank about the murder
MB 'just the thought of something as grotesque as murder makes me sick to
my stomach' (just think what looking in the mirror must do to her/him!) MB
asks Frank for a lift home because she's afraid. All this time MB keeps
glancing down to where he's stashed Deenie's body, hoping Frank won't
notice it (he doesn't know Frank like we do) and finally, Frank's partner
Cleary calls him away for a minute. MB starts ranting about the Cooper
clan, saying, 'Like mother, like son'. I guess that was supposed to be a
joke, huh? I guess if Deenie hadn't been an SF resident for the past six
years and been a character who has moved me to laughter and tears on many
occasions, I might be able to laugh at the one-liners that a psycho killer
makes over her dead body, before he kicks her into the river. That's
right, MB kicked Deenie's body into the river!!! Yeah, I guess if I'd
never watched GL until say last Spring when I started producing it, or
last summer when I started writing it, I might be yucking it up over
Deenie's death too!!! Forgive the rant. :-( I want paid double time for
this update!

The only way GL could save this for me is if it turns out that as soon as
Deenie's body hit the cold water, she became conscious and swam for shore
- only to turn up in a few months or years, by which time Buzz will have
realized that she's the love of his life! After all, Brent's not a doctor
- how does he know she was really dead? There. That's better. I can go
on now.

SPAULDING
Back to A-M, Alex and Lucy, and Lucy has just told Alex about her HIV+
status. Alex tries to apologize for not knowing. A-M and Lucy blast her
for the way she treated Susan. Then Alex hugs Lucy and says, 'Lucy, I am
so sorry. And I'll do everything in my power to help both of you - because I
love you...both of you'. Alex is a softy at heart. :-(

DOCKS
At least we know they won't do another DeadDeenie closeup, since she's in
the water now, swimming for shore (I hope). Frank and his partner join MB
and Frank introduces them. Cleary's dressed like a streetwalker. Frank
gives MB his car keys and tells her to go lock herself in the car and
he'll give her a ride home. Frank and Cleary then discuss the fact that
MB fits the description of the prostitute who left the murder scene.
Personally, I find Frank much more attractive when he has a clue. It's
amazing what a spark of intelligence in the eyes will do for a man's sex
appeal!

MEXICO
Annie and Josh are still gushing. Annie remembers the kids, and discuss
how happy they'll be at the news. Decide to leave right away and call
Rick out to tell him. Rick is gracious and agrees to handle the divorce
alone so she can go back. Annie says 'You're great Rick' and gives him a
kiss. He turns his head so it lands on his cheek because he's not the
kind of guy who takes kissing lightly. Needless to say Rick wasn't feeling
in the mood to do any ad-libbing in this scene - and likely won't for some
time to come. Well, THANKS Annie!!!!

GOSHEN
Reva is sitting with Abigail, who is still sleeping after her recent
outburst. Josh is surprised that she can talk and Reva explains that
Abigail lost her hearing when she was seven and still has her voice but is
shy about using it. She can't hear it so she doesn't trust it. But she
sometimes calls out words she remembers in her sleep...like Momma'. This
word means something to Reva, too and she starts remembering... No she
doesn't...she just knows it's important. She asks Alan if he knows what
it is and he says No'.

COMMERCIAL

GOSHEN
Reva is dreaming. She sees Hawk and asks him to help her find what she's
looking for, then she sees Annie and Bud...same question, next it's
Alan...he even lies to her in her dream...he says they've all gone on with
their lives. 'Bud doesn't want you or need you any more' Reva: It's not
Bud...it's something else. But what?

SPAULDING
Alex tells Lucy that she can come to her for anything she needs.
Alex: I'm not quite the ogre I sometimes appear to be.
A-M: We know that. (With that wonderful A-M catch in his voice that he
gets when he's feeling emotional.)
Then Alex says goodby, brushing A-M's hair as she walks by, he follows
her to the door and gives her a real big hug. She's obviously touched.
<sniff> So was I.
A-M: Thank you, Alex.
Alex:You and Lucy are right. Sometimes I forget the most important
things. So you worry about her...nothing else.
A-M walks back to Lucy and they kiss. Cut to...

DOCK
Frank and Cleary discuss the fact that MB is wearing a wig. Cleary wants
to bring her in, Frank thinks they don't have enough evidence. He plans to
'chat the babe up on the way home' to get more evidence. He leaves with
Cleary following.

LEWIS JET
Annie and Josh talk about the kids again and how happy they'll be about
the new, and what they'll tell the kids. I won't go into the disgusting
details of their mutual gushfest, but Josh gives her back the engagement
ring.

LEWIS HOME
Hawk and Marah sitting together on the sofa. Hawk is singing Hush little
baby' and he tells Marah how her mother came up with the name Marah - she
combined her mother's name and Josh's mother's name, Sarah and Martha
respectively. Hawk: You like your name? Marah: I like the name annie
better. Hawk says Josh and Reva were meant to be but Josh and Annie just
aren't cut out for the long haul. But, again, he kindly refrains from
bad-mouthing Annie (So, I'll do it for you, Hawk: That
gape-mawed-cropped-top-mini-skirted-Rick-abusing-table-dancer!!)

GOSHEN
Reva is still dreaming and asking people what she's looking for again. She
still doesn't remember - but she's almost there. Maybe tomorrow.

- THE END - (Can I have my pay now?)
