In the Cedars morgue, Alan begins to stabilize (the bullet missed his
lungs).
Tangie takes the opportunity to go one-on-one with the Big A and
apologize, again. Alan quizzes her on her relationship to Alan Michael
(T: "...I'm taking it slow..."). During a brief convo w/ his son, A asks
pretty much the same question and AM responds, "...we're friends...".
   Yeahright. So far. :)
When T and AM step out of the room, Harry Jones decloaks, enters, and
is on the verge of starting a formaldehyde IV drip in Alan [! - Yikes!],
when AM returns and jumps him! Big struggle. Tangie spots the action and
pulls a fire alarm on an outside wall. Cops arrive and chase Jones to
parts unknown. T and AM spirit Alan out of Dodge on a gurney.
Cutter and Eve return, and when C notices a "body" is suddenly
missing, he threatens to solve the puzzle by hauling the Eve-ster down
to the station as a material witness to all the recent, um, action.

   Chez Diner.
Nadine (still feeling guilty about "doctoring" Buzz's confessional
videotape) is suffering from a chronic backache, and blows a fuse when
Caroll hands her a $50 to pay for a $4 tab ("What?! Do I look like a
BANK to you?!"). :)
Comments by Eleni (she notes that it may be time for Buzz to pursue
his own dreams - "debts" have all been paid to the family and the
business), elicts a black & white _daydream_ in the B-man, in which he's
the proud owner of "CHEZ BUZZ" --- a nightclub straight from "Casablanca
meets the Looney Tunes" (and folks are smoking their brains out). ;)

Hamp is the piano player (who can't quite figure out what "it" is,
when told to "play it"), Gilly is a torch singer (hair "fried" and laid
to the side in true '40's fashion), Sid is sitting nearby at a side
table (smoking) in "backdoor Johnny"-mode, Eleni is a brunette roulette
loser (w/MEGA shoulder pads) and Caroll, complete w/ officer's uniform
is "Frenchie" (during dialog w/Buzz, he apparently gets "dreamstate"
approval to pursue Nadine ).
["...tell Frank the Captain wins big, tonight..."]
Nadine then strolls through a door in classic I. Bergman fashion and
approaches Buzz (while he mangles dialog from the movie), and she
rapidly segues to Jenna (identically dressed). No diagnosis needed.
Nadine reappears from behind, and the two women order Buzz to choose
between them. Choice? 5th street and Nadine.
Jenna gently caresses Buzz's chest, replies that he chose with his
head, and with a sweep of her hand toward his crotch (ending up back on
his chest), suggests that he now "choose with his 'heart'". [!]
   Back to real time. ;)

Buzz agrees to help Eleni at a Towers gig, and while there,
tentatively accepts a "captain's" job from Hamp.
Jenna (who received a note from Susan informing her that AM is
still alive and has met Alan) stops by Sid and Gilly's (1) table to
inform them that the Gill-ster's, um, "services" may prove to be useful
to a player she represents (without having to leave WSPR). ;)
[Jenna has a brief run-in w/Buzz, where they look
each other soulfully in the eyes and acknowledge
         that it's "over".]
Alexandra and Nick decide to neutralize Gilly by offering her carte
blanche at WSPR. At A & N's table, Sid announces he wants the whole deal
on paper, with a specific rider attached that the only way Nick can
interfere with Gilly is to fire her --- and they'll have severance pay
numbers included with the whole package to be delivered in the am. :))

Meanwhile, Nadine has tracked down Caroll (who's fishing for bass in
a nearby lake) and apologizes for the blow-up over the $50. She even
tries her hand at fly-fishing --- which throws out her back again.
[Caroll makes it pretty clear that he's romantically
interested in Nadine; she admits that her marriage
with Buzz was a sham for the SoulMates contest.]
Dennie suddenly announces that simply talking to Caroll has
eliminated her back spasms (hmmmm....), and C drives her to the
Towers (to meet Buzz).

In the act of entering the ladies' room, Nadine's back acts up again,
and she opts to stretch out on the floor behind a Japanese screen (tho
her head is not obscured).
Who should enter but Jenna, who immediately launches into a chat with
her unborn baby! The implications (along w/J's stomach caresses and
obvious "weight gain") are not lost on Neigh-Dong. :)

Gilly was wearing a red dress with a bright red vinyl (patent
leather? - trying to describe these fashions is "moiduh" :) )
heart in the middle, and _humongoid_ crystal/metal earrings that were
reminiscent of either door knobs or lightbulbs. :)
IOW, a visual pun on her recent success, either way you look at 'em.

That chart may actually come to pass, "double-agent" intrigues
