GL: Monday Update

KAT'S PAD: Gabriella has set up a romantic setting: candles, music,
dancing. She and David are (just) dancing when Kat walks in.
David can't believe his eyes. His beloved has returned.
Kat, seeing Gabrielle asks, "Who is SHE?"
David is so thrilled at the sight of Kat. He tells her how surprised he
is. She says she left messages that she was returning, but
he must not have gotten them ('cause he was too busy fooling
around with the new chick-?!)
>
David makes an attempt to introduce the women, but neither seems
too interested, Kat wants to know why G. is staying in her room.
David begins to explain ("You two got alot to talk about" says G,
and leaves). Kat tells him he doesn't have
to explain anything. (the fact that he is screwing someone else) He tells
her that she doesn't understand. A lot has gone down: hijacking,
Gabby witnessing etc. She stops him again tells him, "David, it's
over!" (long pause) David tries to fix things, but Kat says that
this is about her feelings (not their relationship) and it just
won't work out.
>
David starts to get the picture. He asks why she bothered to come back
if it's over..."It's somebody else, isn't it?" Kat says "yes." She
admits that she met another while in europe and "they have alot in
common" and so she's moving to boston, transfering to Harvard (mid-semester?
yeah right!) and hanging with the new dude. (Wo! Makes you wonder why
poor gabriella got all that attitude!) To add insult to injury she
asks David if they can 'be friends'. D's not sure...He says he's got
alot going on: agency, Co., diner, school. Ten irons in the fire, as
usual. Kat says that that quality is one she'll always love about him. She
leaves and bumps in to Gabriella on the other side of the door. Kat flashes
her one of her 'scum-bitch!' glares and leaves.
>
G. enters using the old 'I forgot my key' exscuse and asks David if he'd
like to walk. He bolts-alone. Gab. begins clearing out when Kat re-enters.
G's getting major attitude today. When Jet enters she decides to
take a hike. Jet is estatic at the sight of the Kat. J. notices Kat's
pissy and asks "you're not mad about this, are you?" (gabrielle). Sybil..
I mean Kat, smiles sweetly and says no. "David's explained everything."
She tells Jet that whatever's fine 'cause she left the man. Jet is
shocked. She explains the new boy and that she's going to Boston to
be with him (shack-up-city!) Both cry and talk about how much they'll
miss eachother (I won't miss Miss self-richeous -melodrama. Go AWAY!)
Jet leaves. Kat cries ('cause it hurt her to hurt him so much...right!)

DETOUR TO THE CONSTRUCTION SITE)
David finds himself warming his hands in front of a steel drum fire.
He is practically in hysterics, brow beating himself, for not realizing
Kat wanted out. He rambles on about how his dreams and hard work were
for nothing.
>
Enter Renta-cop
"Hey you!"
"Something's dying, man...Actually, it's me...my dream"
David offers to sell his property dirt cheap, and the cop
boots him out there.
>
(BACK TO THE BOARDING HOUSE)
David returns to his room and sees a cozy picture of he and Kat.
He THROWS it across the room (slam!) Enter Gabriella. She
holds him and tells him everything's gonna be okay..."
>
THE ABANDON BOATHOUSE! (boathouse, boathouse, boathouse....)
AM waits to meet with his father. On the other side of the
wall Big Al is toting a gun. "This is for my son's life,"
he says, and enters the room. Both are stunned to see
one another. Suddenly, a shot rings out. Alan is down.
AM cries out "Nooooooo!" Enter Tangie with the smokin' gun.
"This is my father!" AM says. When she realizes what she's
done the gun slips from her hand and falls to the dusty boathouse
floor. Tangie quickly falls apart. "Don't do this Tangie! I need
you right now" AM tells her.

AM tells Tangie to get his uncle. Tangie leaves. AM tells
Big A, that Tangie won't fail them. He tells how he was in
the same situation--wounded--a few weeks earlier and Tangie
was his angel.
"Don't worry. She's gonna bring help back."
"Son, I don't blame you." Alan tells AM.

(CUT TO THE BAUER'S HOUSE)
Tangie goes to Uncle Ed's and finds Eve there. "There's a man
who is dying." is all she can manage to get out. Eve grabs
her black bag, and leaves Michelle with Bill Lewis.

(Back to the BOATHOUSE....)
Alan regains consciousness again...AM wants to take him to the
hospital. Alan mumbles something about a plan, and tries to
get his son to promise he won't. AM tells his dad that his
promises won't mean much if he's DEAD!

Finally, Tangie and eve return.
Eve is shocked at Alan's condition. " When did this happen? "" Who is he?"
Eve asks. (best line of the whole show:) "Don't ask any questions, just
save his life!" AM barks at the doctor.

Eve fixes Big A up as best he can, but tells him he desparately needs
a hospital. He won't go...She says she's done all she can, advises
him once again to admit himself, and tells AM that because this is
a gunshot wound she is required to report the incident to the police
department. Eve leaves.

Alan asks his son to get Roger. AM is confused, but agrees.
Alan: I'm proud of you... you've always been the son I wanted..."

VAN'S BEDROOM: Van and Matt are still couped up in her bedroom.
They are waiting for everyone to finish dinner, so Matt can climb
out the window and leave. Matt desparately tries to convince
Van that they can have a relationship. She tells him that her
life is soooo hectic. And how she comes home with PILES of
paperwork every night. (Seeeeeee!) and she presents him with
a stack of papers. (Hey! What's this?) Van is surprised to
find Matt's medical records on top of the heap. She notices
that Matt listed a doctor in Summit Lake, Wisconsin, as one
of his physicians. Matt explains he saw the Dr. for a tetnus
shut and asks what the big deal is...CAUSE... everyone will know
they were at the same place at the same time, and naturally assume
they were doing it 'cause they pretended that they didn't know
eachother when it's perfectly obvious that they did...(pant, pant)
Yeah...And...So, what????(Matt, don't get it)

Vanessa explains that her family has been in the spotlight forever:
Custody hearing, Billy's trial, Rape trial...It's almost as though
her family has been living a SOAP OPERA, and she doesn't want little
Bill to have to defend his family any longer. The family must come
before her passion. Case closed!
>
Matt understands and comments on how deeply she cares for her family.
They smooch a bit more, and he agrees to lift the file off of Dylans
desk. (more smooch!) He exits out the window.
>
Enter Bill and Michelle.
>
It's late, but Michelle is down and needs to talk...It's seems as
though earlier that evening while she was dancing and having a
groovy old time with her new-almost-step-mom Eve- Her Mama Mo's
wallet fell into her lap....
She's feeling guilty about having fun with Eve. Van Reassures her
that Mo would understand the situation and want her to go on
with her life. She talks about letting go of the past--and that
it's alright if she really likes Eve. Shell feels better and thanks her.
Van wonders if maybe she should take her own advise, let go of her OWN
past and do the Matt thing...
>
THE CONSTRUCTION SITE: David has just gotten the boot. Matt is in
the bushes watching his whole freak out episode...After he leaves
Matt enters Dylan's office and snatches his medical records...

Enter Dylan...who is there to pick up the medical reports and see
if he can find any dirt on his workers. This is a last ditch
effort--on the adivise of cutter--to see if they can figure out
which Lewis Construction worker is responsible for leaking info
to the really bad men... He stops by the fire to warm himself before
getting the papers. Matt leaves the office and runs into Dylan.
Before Dylan can get a good look, he pitches them in the fire,
and says they were just the old football pool scores....He leaves...
"Why was HE here" Dylan asks.....
