Guiding Light Update for Wednesday, Sept. 3rd, 1997

Annie has shown up at Reva's. She has decided to tell
Reva about Cassie (her sister). Reva starts yelling
at Annie before Annie can reveal to Reva that her
sister is Cassie. Annie and Reva go at it; screaming
and yelling and Reva pushes Annie into her closet
and locks the door. Annie is like a wild cat and
tries to tear the door down. Reva calls Alan and
tells him that she has his pet locked in her closet
and he has 4 minutes to get there and claim her or
she is going to call the men in white coats to come
haul her off. Annie is livid and continues screaming.

Alan hangs up the phone. Cassie is there and he
tells her he doesn't have time for her tantrums.
That she will do what he says and that she won't
back out because he knows the head of Social Work
Services very well and he can either give her
her daughter or make sure she never sees her again.
Cassie has told Alan that she won't help him
any more and that Josh and Reva can give her
the money (Reva offered her the money earlier)
to get her daughter back. Alan tells her not to
try and play his game because she will lose.
He tells her to continue her job or lose her
daughter. He tells her in fact it is about her
little girl's bed time and she should call to
say good-night. Alan leaves to go get Annie.

Cassie picks up the phone after Alan leaves to
call her daughter. The lady tells her that
social services came and took her little girl
today by orders of Alan Spaulding. Cassie is
distraught and now knows she has to continue
on with the plan or Alan will never tell her
where her daughter is. She tells the foster
mother that her daughter really liked it there
and that when she sees her she will give her
a kiss for her.

Alan gets to Reva's and releases Annie from
the closet. Annie rushes Reva and yells that
she can't just lock her in a closet like an
animal. Reva tells Alan to get a leash on
his pet. He tells them both to shut-up.
Annie tells Alan that Reva is stupid because
she had come there to tell her about her
sister but Reva wouldn't listen. Alan shows
fear in his face and tells Annie to hush before
she regrets it. He looks at Annie and says
that he is sorry she is sick and that he will
get her the help she needs but that she needs
to leave Reva and Josh alone and let them live
their lives. He tells Annie that Josh and Reva
aren't worth the trouble and she should quit trying
to make Reva think she knows about her sister
when she doesn't. Reva is standing behind them
and isn't buying any of this. She starts clapping
and tells Alan he should win an award for that
performance. He tells her it isn't a performance
and Reva laughs and tells them both to get out.

Outside Alan tells Annie she almost blew it.
He tells her he won't let her ruin their plan
by rushing into everything and she had to get
a grip on herself and straighten up. Annie
of course is blaming Reva for everything and
Alan grabs her and tells her to hush about Reva
that he thinks Annie should get it together.
Annie is shocked...and Alan tells her she almost
blew it by revealing Cassie to Reva and he won't
stand for her outbursts anymore. Alan then
drags Annie off for home.

Jessie shows up at the hospital to talk to Michelle
but she tells him that they can't talk or see one
another any more. They have caused too much pain
and Rick won't barely speak to her and she feels
responsible for Abby getting hurt too. She walks
away from him.

Michelle goes in Abby's room and apologizes for
what she has done and begins to cry. (this was
a really good scene between these two) Abby
tells Michelle she didn't do anything and that
she loves her. Michelle tells Abby that she is
like her sister and that she never meant for
her and Jessie's relationship to cause pain.
Abby tells her that she doesn't know Jessie but
she knows his friends and they are bad people
and maybe Michelle can't see through Jessie because
of her feelings for him. Michelle tells Abby
that she does love Jessie. Abby tells Michelle
that she should think of her family (Rick) first
because they are the people who will be there for
her no matter what happens. Michelle is crying
and tells Abby she will think over everything.

Jessie finds Rick and tells him he knows he hates
him but he has something that will hopefully fix
things. Rick cops an attitude and tells Jessie
to get lost he wants to hear nothing he has to
say. Jessie raises his voice and tells him he
will want to hear this and hands Rick a piece
of paper. Rick reads it and asks if it is for
real. Jessie tells him it is and he is about
to tell Michelle also. Rick tells him to let her
know but not to think this will change his feelings
of hate toward Jessie.

Jessie finds Michelle and she tries to walk away
again but he tells grabs her and tells her she
must listen. Rick walks by and give her a hateful
look. She tells Jessie just to go because Rick
already hates her and he didn't even yell at them
being together this time and that indifference is
worse than him yelling. Jessie tells her he talked
to Rick first and that Rick knows what he is about
to tell her. He gives Michelle the paper and tells
he that he made a deal with his father. His father
will drop the law suit and get out of the Bauer's
lives on the condition that Jessie and Michelle never
see each other again, ever. Michelle starts to
really break down and Jessie tells her that she
knows this had to be done. He tells her that it
is over between them and that this is good-bye.
He tells her that his dad was more upset about losing
him to a Bauer than winning or losing a law suit
so he agreed to the arrangement. He tells her bye
and walks away. Michelle is left standing in the
hospital room crying and torn apart.

Well, that's all for this Wednesday.
