    BRIEF WEDNESDAY UPDATE

  FLETCH'S HOUSE

Holly is yelling at Fletch about the messy kitchen (they are in another
room), while Ben is in the kitchen listening. Nick comes home & asks Ben
what's going on. Ben says he's no expert on marriage, but "we have a
problem". Holly and Fletch walk into the kitchen still arguing. Holly,
"There's no excuse for living like a slob." They notice Ben & Nick.
Nick tells them that the honeymoon is over.

  OUTSIDE THE DINER

Lucy tells A-M that the rape's not over. A-M asks if she's having
nightmares, or is she pregnant. Lucy tells him about the possibility of
having HIV.

  BRENT'S ROOM

Brent decides that "Marion" should go to the Diner to meet Lucy's family.

  GOSHEN

Alan is in bed. Rebecca/Reva and Abigail are taking care of him. The
doctor is 20 miles away helping someone give birth. Rebecca says that
Alan is going into shock & is dying. She feels guilty for causing the
accident. She can't get his fever down, so she gets under the covers
with him and tells him to breathe with her. He does.

  OUTSIDE THE DINER

A-M doesn't believe that Brent was HIV+ (he wasn't in a high risk
category) and asks Lucy if she talked to a doctor. She tells him that
they don't know who Brent slept with and whether he had HIV. She could
have it and if she does it will kill her. She tells A-M that he's safe
if he's out of her life.

  FLETCH'S HOUSE

Ben says it sounded like they were fighting. Holly explodes & drops some
dishes into the sink. "There are life-forms living under there by now."
Fletchs says it's cluttered and not hurting anybody. Holly tells them
that she cleans it up and turns around and it has multiplied. Fletch
tells Ben & Nick to keep the kitchen cleaned. Holly says the bathroom is
just as bad. Ben to Nick in a low voice, "Any minute now her head's
going to start spinning, dishes are going to come flying out of the
cupboards." Holly asks what he was saying. Nick tells her they were
talking about a game on tv. Holly asks if Ben touched the VCR, since she
had programmed it to record a PBS special. Ben admits to changing the
channel.

Holly to Fletch, "Do you see what I mean? Three males and one female
cannot live in the same house with one bathroom and one tv, and all of
this!"

Nick offers to move out. Fletch agrees with he, but Holly tells them
that she wants to live in "her" house. Nick could rent this house. She
thinks she's brilliant and deserves a long hot shower. Before she leaves
the kitchen she gets cleaning supplies. Nick asks Fletcher what
happened. Fletch had told them that the decision had been made to live
in Fletch's house and that Holly would never bring up the hair-brained
scheme again.

  INSIDE THE DINER

Buzz is worried about Lucy. Nadine tells him to stop projecting the very
worst and leave Lucy alone. Marion walks in and sits in a booth. Buzz
gives her a suggestion about what to eat. Buzz washes his hands in the
kitchen and remembers Rebecca/Reva.

  OUTSIDE THE DINER

A-M tells Lucy that they are going to be together. Now he realizes why
she didn't want to kiss him, why she freaked when he tried to drink from
her glass. Lucy doesn't want to put him as risk. A-M won't let her go
through this alone, "no conditions, no strings, I love you through
anything." He tells her that they don't know if Brent "has" it. Lucy
explains when she can be tested. A-M says he will hold her and take care
of her until then, "Being in love with you, being with you, is perfectly
safe. Brent is dead, nothing will hurt us."

  INSIDE THE DINER

Marion/Brent asks Buzz questions about himself. Nadine pulls Buzz into
the kitchen and tells him "that woman" was flirting with him. Buzz says
she's not his type. Brent stares at Buzz & remembers when Buzz was
threatening him.

  FLETCHER'S HOUSE

Fletch tells Nick & Ben that Holly's house is "Hansel & Gretel run amok, a
gingerbread house on acid". Nick tells him to bring some guy things over
there or break some knick knacks and she'll hide the rest. Fletch says
that won't work with his Holly, she's a frou-frou fanatic. How will he &
Ben survive in a place like that? Ben suggests that Fletch & Holly move
into her place & he'll stay with the Nickster. Fletch says Ben goes
where he goes.

A strange noise. It's the duck phone quacking. Fletch answers. It's
Dr. Sedwick returning Holly's call about a medical problem. He gets
worried. When Holly comes back, he tells Nick & Ben to leave. He asks
her what's going on. She apologizes for yelling, but she can't live like
this. That's not what he's talking about. He wants to know why she
called the doctor, "what do you think is wrong with you?"

  OUTSIDE THE DINER

Lucy apologizes to A-M for not telling him sooner, but she couldn't
believe she could have it. He tells her that if she does they'll deal
with it together. He wants to kiss her, but she hesitates. He says he's
not afraid of kissing her. They go into the diner for some lemonade.
Lucy notices Marion and goes over to her, "I'm Lucy. Remember me?"
Marion, "How could I forget."

  FLETCH'S HOUSE

Holly tells Fletch that she's getting older. Fletch, "And the
archaeology team is coming over to carbon-date you." Holly tells him
that she has reached that certain age. She wonders if anything will be
the same, she hasn't prepared for this & wonders if she'll be less
attractive. Holly, "I'm talking about menopause." She didn't think it
would come so soon, she thought she was still young. Fletch tells her
that she is, they're in this together. Holly, "There's nothing you can
do. I've landed in middle-age. THUD!" Fletch has read about this,
there are supplements for the hormones, Dr. Sedwick will tell her about
it. Why does she think she's going through menopause? Holly has all the
symptoms: excessive irritability, tired, moody. Fletch says she is
always tired & moody. Holly is going through a passage thing and wonders
what she'll be like at the other end. Fletch tells her she's sexy &
attractive & he would rather make love to a menopausal Holly than to spend
10 minutes with a young, nubile, buns of steel thing in the prime of her
life. Holly, "I thought I was in the prime of my life." He says she is
and kisses her.

  DINER

Lucy introduces Marion to Buzz & Nadine. Before Marion leaves she says,
"If I don't get my night's sleep, I'm not myself." A-M & Lucy go for a
walk. Nadine gets a premonition about Buzz's mystery woman. She's not
who she appears to be. Buzz, "She's not a real blond?" Nadine says it's
not that, she's not safe, there is danger there, the woman is trouble.

  GOSHEN

The doctor has arrived. Alan has cracked ribs, contusions, slight
concussion & possible blood clot in his leg. Reb/Reva needs to keep him
quiet when he wakes up. Abigail & the doctor leave. Reb/Reva is alone
with Alan when he opens his eyes and recognizes her.

  FLETCH'S HOUSE

Fletch (in an old man's voice), "What do we do now Granny. Do we risk a
cup of warm milk?" He tells Holly that menopause will never change the
way he feels about her. He's saying that to get her into bed so he can
make love to her all night. Holly says she's been around a long time &
she's no cheap date. She wants cavier, roses, champagne, the works.
Fletch says those stores are closed, he'll do it tomorrow. Holly, "I
don't want you should think I'm an easy pick-up." He gets off his knees
& picks her up and carries her off to their bedroom.

  SIDEWALK

Lucy tells A-M that she likes this time of year. A-M says a perfect
moment is perfect because you realize it's perfect while it's happening.
Like catching the light of a firefly or like shooting stars. Lucy tells
him about growing up and wishing on shooting stars. A-M gets a star out
of his pocket. He bought it for Lucy. He tells her to make a wish. She
tells him to. They both hold the star and hug each other.

  BRENT'S ROOM

Brent talks to the mirror. Buzz & Nadine loved Marion. Totally bought
her act. "Miss Cooper and young Spaulding better enjoy themselves
tonight. Tomorrow's going to be a big day."

Couldn't let a Folly day go by without an update. Hope it's not too short.
Tomorrow's update will be it's usual length.
