The Boardinghouse: Dinah is packing to move out of the boardinghouse
when Matt enters and asks what she is doing. Dinah tells him she is
moving in with Roger and she's gotten enough grief about it, so she
doesn't need it from him. Matt says he understands how she feels and
says he's on her side.

Lewis Oil: Vanessa is arguing on the phone with Sam McCullers. When
she hangs up the phone she mutters to herself that something is going
on...(Roger at work?). Ross enters her office and says he has found
something to force Roger to stay away from Dinah.

Courtroom: As the camera pans everyone's faces, the judge announces
that she has reached a decision. As Alan stands, he stares back at
Tangie.

Courtroom: The judge says that these are serious charges and although
she finds what Alan did abhorrent things (ain't that the truth), she
finds after listening to the witnesses' uncorroborated testimony there
is insufficient evidence. As Springfield's finest moan and groan about
the outcome, Sid tells Alan to thank the judge, which he does. Lucy
consoles A-M and tells him that he did the right thing. He shouldn't
forget what he told her in the park: that he won no matter what
happened. Alex runs into Alan's arms deliriously happy (she seems to be
the only one), while Alan is very contemplative. Nick tries to convince
Tangie that she was great on the stand and that Springfield is on to
Alan. As Tangie exits the courtroom, she is mobbed by reporters,
including Gilly. Sid and Alan leave the courtroom looking on as Tangie
is asked if she is still in love with Alan. Tangie and Alan stare at
each other.

Lewis Oil: Ross explains his plan to Vanessa: Roger is in violation of
many FCC violations and if Ross puts on enough pressure, the FCC will go
after him. Ross feels Roger will dump Dinah if he is in danger of
losing is final powerbase, WSPR. Ross and Vanessa see this as a way to
get Dinah back; Vanessa agrees to the plan, saying she will do anything
to get her daughter back.

The Boardinghouse: Dinah can't believe that Matt is on her side over
Vanessa's. Matt says he knows where she is coming from. He understands
what it is like to expect love from your parents and not get it in
return. He tells Dinah about trouble he had gotten into when he thought
he was alone. Matt goes on to say that Dinah is not alone and does not
have to move in with Thorpe. Up until this point, Dinah is listening to
Matt, but after he says that she tells him to go to hell.

Lewis Oil: Vanessa continues to beat herself up about Dinah. Ross
tries to get her to stop blaming herself. Both apologize to each:
Vanessa for not telling Ross about the baby and Ross for the way he has
treated her since he found out about Dinah. Vanessa goes on to explain
what it was like to be pregnant at 17 with a father who viewed it as a
mistake and Ross admits he would not have been the perfect mate at that
point. Ross goes on to say that he knows Vanessa loves Dinah and they
will get their daughter back.

The Boardinghouse: Dinah goes on and on about how Vanessa doesn't care
about her. Matt tries to get Dinah to cut Vanessa some slack and says
going to Roger will be a dead end. Dinah says she feels loved and taken
care of by Roger. Matt tells her Roger is only using her to get back at
her parents and the woman he loves, Holly. Dinah says Roger is over
Holly (yeah, right) Seeing he's not getting through to her, Matt tells
Dinah to have a nice life, but to stop blaming Vanessa for her problems.
Bridget enters and asks what's going on. (Welcome back Bridget, long
time no see!)

The Courtroom: Roger is being interviewed about what he calls a
travesty of justice. Alex accosts A-M and says she hopes he's happy,
but she told him he would lose and now he's done as a businessman in the
community because many are loyal to Alan. A-M retorts that all the
loyalists came a running in support: Alex was the only one. Alex said
what A-M did was treachery (excuse me, and what Alan did wasn't?). Buzz
interrupts and tells Alex to layoff A-M; he's the last good thing about
the Spauldings. A-M leaves with Lucy as Alex and Buzz continue to trade
barbs.

Outside the Courtroom: Alan and Tangie stare at each other, while she
is bombarded with questions. Sid steps in and Gilly wants to have his
comments while Sid tries to reason with her. Tangie and Alan both say
they wish things could have been different. Roger comes by and tells
Alan to leave Tangie alone; Nick calls Tangie over while Roger tells
Alan that he may be free, but he's lost everything. Alan maintains all
is not lost.

The Diner: The Cooper brigade, including A-M enter with Buzz going off
on a tangent about there being no justice, a farce, etc. (Buzz being
Buzz!) Frank finally asks Nadine to get Buzz to shut up, which she does
by pulling Buzz to the side and tells him to stop it after all Alan's
son is there and A-M's had a tremendously bad day. (to say the least!)
Buzz agrees and commends A-M on standing up to his father. A-M is just
sorry Alan got off. Gilly then enters very upset. Lucy voices her
concern that although Gilly is always welcome she doesn't think they
could handle Sid. Gilly tells her not to worry: she's alone. Gilly
tells A-M she's sorry about Sid. Eleni and Nadine comfort her when they
realize she broke up with Sid b/c of today. Eleni tries to get Gilly to
not make a rash decision, but Gilly won't hear it. Sid then enters.

The Journal: Nick and Holly try to convince Tangie that she was great
on the stand. They talk about the coverage they are going to do when
Tangie exclaims that today was about Alan winning and she hopes he's
happy.

Spaulding Mansion: Alex wants to celebrate, but Alan is in no mood.
(It seems like Alex is the only one happy with the outcome of this
decision) Alex begins to go on and on that Tangie deserves everything
she got and is not worth it. Alan will not let her speak ill of Tangie.
She continues to drone on how Tangie used him, when Alan tells her
Tangie is more woman than she'll ever be, which angers Alex immensely.
Alan goes on to say that Roger was right: he has lost Tangie and his
son.

The Boardinghouse: Bridget with Peter in tow (How I've missed his cute
little face) tries to get Dinah to understand about Vanessa. Bridget
tries to explain how she and Vanessa fought over Peter, but now they get
along fine, even though Roger tried to interfere at one point. Dinah
can't believe Vanessa would fight for a child that wasn't even hers.
Bridget tries again and again to show Dinah that Vanessa is a good
person and truly loves Peter. Dinah feels Vanessa is just using Bridget
to get to Peter. Fully exasperated, Bridget tells Dinah to get over it
and Dinah tells her she plans to.

Lewis Oil: Matt enters and apologizes to Vanessa for trying to tell
Vanessa how to raise her kids. Vanessa laments the mess with Dinah and
Matt tells her he tried to talk to her daughter, but she wouldn't
listen. Matt says Dinah is a big girl and has to stop blaming Vanessa,
but Roger's not helping any.

Roger's Hotel Room: Roger enters with Ross waiting. They trade
insults. Ross says he and Vanessa will do anything to keep Roger away
from their daughter, but Roger insists that he is just trying to grab
some happiness after all wasn't Chrissy the same age when Ross seduced
her? (Wait a minute Rog, I believe it was the other way around). Ross
tells him to "grab this" (I loved that line!) and gives Roger his
proposition re: FCC charges or Dinah! Dinah enters and Roger can't
wait to tell her about her daddy's proposition.

Roger's Hotel Room: Roger tells her about Ross is trying to blackmail
him into dropping Dinah or face FCC charges. Dinah says Roger loves her
and Ross wants to control her. Ross says he loves her and when Roger
drops her there will be no questions asked. Ross leaves and Dinah
wonders if Roger is going to dump her.

The Diner: Sid tries to talk to Gilly, but Gilly won't hear it. Sid
tries to explain what he did and compares it to going after a story. He
tries to get A-M to see his side, but A-M tells him no way. Gilly says
you can't compare what he did to reporting the news. Sid wants her
back, Gilly won't go with him and goes with Eleni into the kitchen. The
Cooper men in their indominitable way get Sid to leave by giving him
looks that show he is not welcome at the diner after what he did to A-M
and Gilly. Lucy falls into A-M's arms and wonders how many more people
will be hurt by this.

The Journal: Holly tries to pep up Tangie, who tells Holly about Alan's
visit before she testified. Tangie says she would have stood by Alan if
he confessed and she admits that she still loves Alan.

Spaulding Mansion: Alan is by himself staring at a picture of Tangie,
almost rips it up and then leaves the picture of a desk.

The Diner: The Coopers and friends begin to drink and dance or as Buzz
puts it: we'll drink until we forget about Courtroom B or until we
drop. After taking a drink, A-M walks out and Lucy follows him. A-M
says he's ok; he's not going to think anymore about his father or the
past afterall he's got Lucy and the future. A-M hugs Lucy close to him.

Spaulding Mansion: Alan takes money out of the safe. He says this will
be enough.

Roger's Hotel Room: Roger is on the phone and is saying to someone you
won't regret it. Roger then says to Dinah tomorrow Mummy and Daddy will
hear his answer to their little threat. Roger and Dinah fall onto the
bed, kissing.

That's all folks!

Hope you like it,

Paulette
