---

   Springfield Inn.
Frank and Eleni awake from a night of glorious, second-honeymoon
whappa, kissing and cooing like it's going out of style. Breakfast via
room service is declined because, as Frank put it: "They don't have what
I need...".
   Early morning delight, folks. :)
Post-sex, Frank, under the guise of obtaining a real breakfast (he
turned down a large chocolate bar from E) bops out, but heads straight
to the Diner and Marina.
Eleni follows, they retrieve the one piece of the "puzzle" that was
missing, and return to their honeymoon bed at the Inn with Marina,
everything right with the world. :)

[B]:
---

   The Diner.
Eve 'N Ed are having a "workman's" breakfast (I recognized what
appeared to be bacon and a huge pile of eggs - were they on top of a
Dutch pancake?), and chat segues to Michelle's increasingly rapid
entrance into teen-hood.
Another left turn, and Ed confesses he's tired of sneaking around to
have sex with Eve; loves the wuss big-time, and wants to show it.
In an extremely roundabout way (or as Eve put it: "a non-proposal"),
Ed notes that he can't yet marry the Eve-ster (concern for Michelle's
feelings are added as a sidecar) --- but he wants her to live with him!
Shack-up City! Wants her to move into the Big House! Panties on the
shower rod, toilet seats down, make-up in the fridge - the works!
The offer is accepted with joy. But one HUGE problem raises its ugly
head, and Eve eleucidates it with the aplomb of a general:
   "(we need a) New Home."
She suggests they take a condo and rent out the house (it's
Maureen's, and Eve doesn't want to fight the memories).
Ed counters that "(we) can make it OUR house...", and the battle is
joined. :))

Later, at the beach (picnic) w/Michelle and Bill, the, um, dialog
rages:
Ed: "I just want Michelle to feel secure; I can't
believe a house is becoming an issue between us!"
Eve pleads for consideration ("What if you had to make a career move?
You'd have to move Michelle out of the house, then!", etc.).
Ed counters the main thrust of the disagreement by insisting that
he's "not living in the past".
Eve: "That house IS your past...as long as you live
there, you're not going to get away from it..."
Eve walks off, and Michelle, wasting no opportunity, breaks off her
play with Bill, approaches her father and twists the knife:
"Are you and Eve breaking up??" :)

   Company.
Dylan is sitting on the back (private kitchen) stairs, with Jet's
head in his lap (she's sound asleep). David stumbles down (Hangover
City) mumbling something about "never going to another Greek
wedding...". [:)] He senses something is troubling his buddy, and Dylan
spills the hijacking-related beans:
"...how do you tell your sister, that you were so anxious
for your own dreams to come true, you ruined hers??"

Upstairs, Matt is soaking his post-hijacking bruises (and flashing
back to his brief journey on the truck, and a curious tatoo he spotted
on one of the guy's shoulders), when Lucy marches in, in furious teeth-
brushing mode. Short story: he exits the tub (wanting to make amends for
the previous night, too), and Lucy tells him to get lost. Nothing new,
here. :)
[Later, he screws-up her sheets trying to do a good
deed (washing machine "blues", I guess [:)]), and
gets chewed-out again "...and quit going in my room!!".
    Nothing new here, either.]

A bit later, Cutter stops by briefly to talk to Dylan, but transports
out again almost immediately to see Caroll chez hospital.
Josh arrives, offers a loan to cover the boy's losses and avoid any
family unpleasantness, but is _firmly_ turned down (D: "...Mindy
deserves to know the truth...").
   Exit Dylan.

   Meanwhile, at Spaulding Enterprises HQ...
Melinda, eager to get her and Nick's life back on the domestic fast
track, bops into her husband's office (Nick is starting to look
extremely "GQ", lately; anyone place the suit? I know it wasn't Hugo
Boss...think I need to go back to "fashion kindergarten" (CNN's
"Style")).
Seems Mr. Man didn't draw upon their joint bank account for the money
to build the house; he used his own personal savings, so he could feel
he was truly giving something of himself to Mindy in the process (sold
his coin collection (?!), too).
Mindums is beside herself w/joy, and gets "bubbly" when Nick shows
her some alterations he made to the house plans. However, when he
announces the "extra room" is to accomodate the moment when they decide
to have kids, Mindy's mood breaks completely south (she might not be
able to have a biological child - complications following a
miscarriage). Nick assures her she'll be a "fantastic mother" regardless
of how it comes about (judging by her nurturing of, and interactions
with, Peter).
   Mindy brightens, and expresses hope:
"...once we move into that house, anything is possible..."

   Knock-knock.
Dylan: "(blah, blah, blah)...I lost it ALL..."
Nick goes _off_ on the brother ("That was _my_ money!!..."), Dylan
promises to repay them, and slinks out with his tail between his legs.
Mindy expresses great concern, not about the house, but about her
brother: "What's he going to do, now??!"

Back at Company, Josh (who stayed behind after checking on the post-
hijack situation) admits to Jet that he thinks she's good for Dylan
(augments his already strong sense of confidence). When Peter cries, the
J-man volunteers for duty and dashes upstairs.
Lucy, Dave and Matt come down for breakfast, and some brainslapping
ensues over toast [Brumpt-TING!] and juice: [:)]
Matt: "So, what do you do?"
Lucy: "I'm an executive assistant for the CEO of Spaulding Enterprises."
   Matt: "So you're a secretary."
Lucy: "...I'd rather be a secretary than nothing like you
and have my sister run around and wait on me like
I was next in line for the throne..."
Jet takes a turn at bat, noting that her brother has the ability to
get anybody to do anything for him --- but he's not spoiled. :)
She does have _one_ question for him, though:
   "What are you doing here??"

Before he can respond, Vanessa calls in (pay phone) to check on Pete.
Matt, attempting to avoid his sister's pointed question, dashes to
answer the phone! However, Jet grabs the handset, and the former lovers
don't have enough time to recognize each other (but Bridget tells
Vanessa that the "voice" belonged to her brother).
Josh brings Peter down, and chats w/Van from another room.
In response to a direct question from Matt, Jet refuses to
_specifically_ name Hart as the father of her baby (but casually
mentions the woman on the call that he answered was Peter's "second
mom").
Cutter makes another "housecall", and Matt suddenly hightails it to
another part of the house.

Dylan returns from his bad news run to Spaulding, and gets a bucket
more of the stuff from Cutter: the company he bought the building
materials from doesn't even exist. Big-time set-up. Elaborate.
Cutter: "...I want you to think hard about who doesn't like you..."
[Matt returns and is put to work heating food for the baby.]
Jet and Dylan agree to make a list of all the people who might be
harboring a grudge against him, and Cutter transports out.
Dylan swears to track down the guys who ripped him off, and return
Nick's money.
When the word "hijackers" is uttered, Matt nervously fumbles some
cookware onto the kitchen table.

   Reason for the anxiety?
Whatever is in his past is likely to come out during involvement with
the investigation.
   Hmmmm...
   Renegade germ warfare researcher?
   Plutonium smuggler?
   Prison farm escapee?
   Ten wives in ten states?
   Too many traffic tickets?

   You make the call.
