		   Update for Tuesday August 16

				by

					My first, so expect sloppiness.

Opening:

   Lucy and Matt:

We find ourselves in Lucy's room at Company. She is wearing some
weird little lace thing (its important, sorta) and Matt is lying in her bed.
Lucy grabs a stick-like object and pokes Matt. No reaction. Then (unable to
speak loudly or pull the covers off, which works so well), she grabs a camera
and flashes it in his eyes. He wakes up with a start.

   Nadine and Buzz and David:

The comic troupe is at the site of Frank and Eleni's wedding
(uh, re-wedding), trying to clean up. A little chatter, and then for some odd
reason that escaped me, Buzz is on David's shoulders and they fall to the
ground as Nadine gasps...(Gotta wonder when Shep is going to replace Buzz.)

   Tangie and Alan Spaulding:

Outside (I think where Tangie buried the money, lo those years ago, but
I'm not sure where they were, really). They are debating the future of their
romance. Tangie says "You are the most intriguing man I have ever met, but...
this isn't right for me."

   Dylan and Bridgette (Bridget):

Company again. Downstairs in the kitchen. Opening shot is of Dylan
sitting at the table rubbing his chin. Bridget is telling him that the cops
will catch the thieves soon, and all will be o.k. Dylan is dubious, and
B. says they're not brains surgeons, you know. Just a bunch of idiots who'll
get drunk and blow it. (Lord knows why she thinks this.) Dylan says "If they
don't, I'm going to be the one in jail." Another gasp.

(Now was the commercial break, and guess what? Hal Linden (Barney Miller) has
a new job. Cool.)

   Back to D and B.

Dylan is listing the many ways in which he is a complete moron. All
of Nick and Mindy's money is gone and he has no supplies to show for it. He
had no insurance and no back up plan. He continues to berate himself with
bon mots such as "It wasn't just irresponsible it was WRONG." and taking it
out on Bridgett with "YOU JUST DON'T GET IT DO YOU?" and finally a little
John Lennon and "The Dream is Over". At which point Bridgette starts singing
"Give Peace a Chance". (Well okay, she didn't, but it would have been apropos.)
She does yell at him a little.

   Alan and Tangie:

Tangie explains herself. (BTW, IMO, Tangie has looked utterly
beautiful since her newest haircut. Did she do it for Alan?) She says that
he (her mystery man, so I guess I shouldn't call him Alan), is a "nice man"
(HAH!) and they have good times together, but she needs time to figure
herself out. "I made some choices and I don't know why I made them." (It's
like someone is writing her life for her, and occassionally, they just change
her personality. odd.) She says she is searching for something. Alan
says that we all know what we want, we just have to be brave enough to get it.
Tangie rhapsodizes about wanting her soul to touch others and be touched.
Something about how the moon affects people.
Alan responds with an open testament of his feelings for her. How he
has taken risks to be with her, and thought too much about her, when a lot was
at stake. He wonders if she is willing to do the same.

    David and Buzz and Nadine:

The boys have survived their fall, and Nadine is hurling invectives
(oh thank goodness for 10th grade vocab class) at them. Buzz gives "Dini"
(IMO, the most annoying pet name current, except maybe "Nessa") a kiss on
the cheek and tells her to go home and go to sleep. David and Buzz sit on
the pagoda-like thing (is this where Spinner spun?) and bond. They talk
about how beautiful the rewedding was, yadda yadda yadda, and then David
tells Buzz he is buying an engagement ring for Kat. For when she gets back.
Or "If she gets back" says David. Buzz says, eh, probably she isn't coming
back. Enough about you, How do I look on TV?

   Lucy and Matt:

Lucy is yelling at Matt to get out. Matt says "I thought this was
Bridgette's room (AHA!)" and then Lucy insults him for a few minutes and
threatens him with a bat. Matt says something about how Lucy is easy to read,
and insults her taste in nightwear and decorations. (ooh, so true.) Which
just makes Lucy's burners fire even more and she hurls "filthy, disgusting,
rudest" (she's in love of course) and then she breaks the doorknob to her room
trying to kick him out.

   Vanessa:

She is lying in her bed talking on the phone.
(And now I start to wonder what time is it? Half the town is up, but
it is dark outside, and Vanessa is in bed.) She's telling Pop about her
trip and how it was good despite the shipwreck. She got a lot of thinking done.
She hangs up and remembers the boatride with Matt and kissing Matt, and Matt's
chest and him pulling his wet hair back (and then she...)
Meanwhile, ethereal (sp?)
music plays and sets the mood of the magician (can't help but see Matt as
David Copperfield or maybe Yuri Gregarin).

   Matt and Lucy:

Matt is lying on the bed while Lucy is trying to put the doorknob back
in place. He starts reading her diary and picking on her. Lucy (who is now
wearing a red nightshirt, thankfully) finally explains to me that it is 1 am.
She says she would rather jump out the window then stay in the room with Matt.
Matt offers to help, but then thinks it would be quite a drop.

   Alan and Tangie:

Tangie thinks Alan's speech is just a little too perfect. Alan says
it came from the heart. He is being more honest with her than with anyone else.
Tangie asks if he is married. No. Wanted by the police. No. Alan says he has
reasons for being secretive and that one day he'll tell her. But for now
she has to trust him. "Perhaps if you allowed our lips to touch." Tangie
offers to trade a kiss for his name. (Have to wonder what she would trade for
his address.) He can't tell her that. Tangie tells Alan about her teenagerness
with Roger (w/out naming him), the point being she could never trust him
because she didn't know his name. Alan realizes that he is stuck, that there
is no way he can get beyond that. He leaves, but says that it's not over.
Tangie just blinks and looks at the sky.

   David and Buzz:

David-"Want me to tell you the truth?"
Buzz-"No, I want you to lie to me, David."

David says that Buzz doesn't look too good on TV. Nadine looks great.
Like someone you've know forever. Someone you'd invite into your living room.
And Buzz? Lock the door, shut the drapes. It's those fishy eyes and that jerky
head.
Buzz is upset. Apparently he is out to impress someone. Producer, David
asks. Someone local, Buzz says. So they decide to practice with the video
camera David has by his side. David prepares to do a new scene for *Sex, Lies
and Videotape*.

Question: (Approximately) What do you do about love when it feels so
good inside, but at the same time it feels so miserable.

	Buzz looks confused.

   Bridgette and Dylan:

Bridgette tells Dylan having dreams is not a crime. That life isn't
fair, in fact, it stinks. That he will survive all of this. Dylan looks
dubious.

   Lucy and Matt:

Magic Matt opens the door with a flash of his wrist. Lucy starts
throwing objects of all varieties when she realizes he could have done that
all along. Matt leaves, and Lucy rips the doorknob off again.

   David and Buzz:

Answering David's question, he talks about how Marina had a cookie
and he was teasing her, asking her to give it to him, and she looked at the
cookie and then at Grandpa, trying to decide who she loved more, and gave Buzz
the cookie. (Usually,
I find these stories dull and forced, but in fact, when my sister was little
she gave herself a headache trying to decide what she would do if my mother
and our dog were drowning at the same time.) Marina loves purely and simply.
(Or maybe Buzz loves Marina purely and simply, I'm not sure.) The same is
true of Nadine. Pure and simple love. But she's crazy. She cares about
everybody, and for some odd reason loves him most of all. "Everything I do,
she appreciates." Then Buzz describes another kind of love. Where nothing
he does or says is good enough. He can't possibly make her (some unknown
person here, oh, who could it be) happy. But the more it doesn't work, the
more he loves. He would die for her.

Realizing he never paid any attention to David, Buzz asks
"What was the question?"

David (listening and understanding as always): "Once you've had that [the
final type of love], how do you let it go?"

	Alan and Jenna:

Alan walks in on a very sleepy Jenna (ah someone sleeps at 1am in
Springfield), in Jenna's flat. He says "I expect you to be available at all
times." (Nice guy. Hah!) He wants to know what she knows about Alan-Michael.
He wants to know where he stands. He is quite forthcoming with Jenna about
his motivations here. Maybe the talk with Tangie has him thinking aloud.
Jenna says that he has already made some kind of mistake, hasn't he?

	Tangie and Nadine:

Tangie is still wherever she was. Nadine enters, not looking sleepy
anymore. Tangie talks about the moon, and Nadine says some insipid (sorry)
thing about her childhood and the moon. Tangie offers Nadine her rock.
(And here we find out that Tangie doesn't know Buzz, just that she has heard
of him. There goes the theory that everybody knows everyone.) Nadine talks
about romance and "Everything seems romantic when you're 16." (Which is nice
since Nadine is still 16.) Tangie again brings up the soul touching idea.
She asks Nadine if she know THE man for her. Nadine says yes. And Tangie?
She says, yes, but she hasn't met him yet. (Clear case of watching too many
soap operas and reading too many romance novels, IMO.)

	Jenna and Alan:

Alan denies having made any mistakes. Jenna says "not yet." She suggests
it might be a woman. "Been there to, you know", says the surprising Jenna. Some
kind of thematic connection appears between Jenna and Nadine giving advice to
Tangie and Alan.

	Buzz and David:

They agree you don't forget this deep love (this neurotic love),
but that you go on. Nadine returns. She realizes they have done no work and
that Buzz has gotten poor David plastered. She drags them out by their hair,
but not before she gets the videotape and decides to watch in the morn.

	Dylan and Bridgette:

Dylan is much happier now. He is thinking more positively and smiling
and kissing Bridgette.

	Back to Lucy and Matt:

Lucy is climbing through a window, whining about how dusty she is and
what a slime Matt is (he is standing there). She pushes Matt down the stairs.
He lands at Bridgette's feet. Matt- "Hi Bridgy" (aargh! that's worse than
either of the others).

	Jenna and Alan:

Alan says he has postponed all personal matters until the business is
done with. Then he will take care of that too. His beeper goes off and he
sends Jenna out of her own room. His pal the cop tells him that Harry Jones
is on the loose and he should watch out. Alan says he isn't afraid, that he
is well-protected and well hidden.

	Tangie alone:

Tangie leaves her rock and walks away. Surprise, surprise, Harry Jones
appears and watches her walk away.

	Vanessa:

Same scene as before. Same music.

Matt and Bridgette and Dylan and Lucy

Bridgette hates the name too. She grabs Matt and they hug and laugh.
Lucy looks shocked and Dylan looks furious. "Who the hell are you?", Dylan
snarls.

	"This is my brother."

	Cut.

Whew. Sorry this was so long. (If it was.) Any suggestions welcome. Too many
asides? Too disjointed (that is you would like the Lance/Godzilla method more,
etc.)? I'm open to preference. Dictionaries appreciated too.
