   The Diner.
   With Cutter on the phone trying to get (at least) a name in
connection w/that license plate number he had traced (Alan's limo ---
now under different registration, as you'll recall), Buzz floats in,
with, um, "good" news for Frank and Eleni. Seems he's arranged a
fireworks display to accompany Marriage Vows II. :)
   The Buzz-man delivers this tidbit while almost literally bouncing off
the walls ("...big!...stupendous!...millions of 'em!..." --- imagine him
on an amphetamine/Prozac/Exctasy/alcohol mini-cocktail), and after he
"bounces" back out the door, Lucy pronounces:
   "You know what it means when dad gets manic like this, don't you?
    It means he's in _terrible_ shape. I've never seen him this depressed."

   Minutes later, Buzz returns, Deenie lays a big "We 'grok' you" kiss
on him, and Lucy lines them all up for a family picture.
   [Sidelines: Frank queries Cutter about Tangie's mystery man;
               Caroll shows up, and puts a serious "hit" on Nadine:
               "...good thing Buzz has that ring on your finger...
                a man sees that cute smile and those dimples;
                makes him feel _good_!" ]

   Frank escorts Eleni to Springfield High, where he's constructed a
private prom night (complete with tux/dress (on mannequins), music
(Gloria Estefan's "Rhythm Is Gonna Get You", colored lights, cardboard
backdrops (a tropical thing --- coconut trees, stars...), etc.):
          "I was too busy getting into trouble (back then);
           I wanna know what it feels like...(with YOU)"
   Eleni gladly participates in her husband's fantasy. :)
   After donning the Gingiss-wear (and on E's part, a wrist corsage),
they slow-dance to Billy Joel, and gently (and with genuine love) swap
spit and nuzzle; Frank fills her in on a part of his youth.
   Eleni: "...What do guys do when the last dance is winding down?"
   It's decided to take a shortcut home via the Country Club (and make-
out). :)

   Lucy has followed Buzz to the site of F&E's planned re-nups (being
decorated), and they have a meaningful father/daughter chat (after a
brief moment where Buzz mistook her silhouette for Jenna's, Lucy chides
him about his neglect of Nadine's feelings; Buzz admits that he still
feels a powerful bond with Jenna, but doesn't understand _why_...).
   Laying his head on his daughter's shoulder, Buzz further confides
that he's "...tired of 'bouncing around'...", and his family constitutes
a (much-needed) "anchor". As Nadine transports in, Buzz concludes
"...which ain't bloody bad...".
   Nadine helps with the decorations, and as she's on a ladder, Buzz
firmly pats her butt with both hands, remarking, "Nadine! This
is...terrific...!" (earning a huge smile from Lucy). :)))

   Eleni and Frank waltz en scene, and Frank takes his dad aside for a
brief chat (F: "I want tomorrow to be _really_ special for Eleni..." B:
"...call me 'P.T. Barnum', babes...").
   Lucy tries to take another family photo, but gets emotional when
she's overwhelmed by the good vibes. Everyone bonds arm-in-arm, and Buzz
suggests they always stay together, and take a vow to that effect.

   [During a bit about Frank and Eleni's closeness, Eleni reaches
    out and musses Buzz's hair, remarking "Thank you." Buzz playfully
    responds, "Ah, shut up!", which triggers Frank's "Hey! Watch it!
    That's my wife!"
    Judging from the looks on Jean Carol and Sonia Satra's faces,
    and chuckles all around, it appeared to be a brief bit of
    impromptu action. :)]

   As the Coopers dance in the (large) gazebo (exchanging "hip-hip-
hoorays"; Eleni breaks into Greek song, she's so happy), Jenna arrives,
on the periphery, and carresses her stomach:
   "We're going to be a family too, you and I, you'll see...
    although I wish you could see your daddy dance. He's something..."

   The town bells strike midnight, and the party adjourns.

   Ed Bauer's Palace of Grouchensian Delights.
   Just as Ed and Eve settle in for an evening of "Suzy Homemaker On
Steroids meets Ward Cleaver" (Eve is trying to prepare a perfect souffle
--- subsequent to having performed a triple by-pass at the hospital),
Jenna storms the kitchen door, demanding the whereabouts of Alan
Michael.
   Before the mood can turn weird, Ed is "beeped", and takes the call in
an upstairs bedroom. Alone with Eve, Jenna breaks into tears. Having
"evesdropped" [Brumpt-TING!] on J and Lillian's convo at Cedars earlier
in the week, Eve realizes Jenna is concerned about her baby (security,
etc.), and comforts her. First order of business: food (a salad that
Jenna _wolfs_ down).  :)

   After a brief (but quite friendly) chat about pre-natal care (zero
alcohol, good food, etc. - Jenna shows-off her sonogram :) ), and J's
unwillingness to tell "the father" about his child (yet), Ed returns,
and Jenna (nervously) transports out ("...remember to tell Alan Michael
that I'm looking for him...").
   Of course, the souffle is ruined, and Ed has to fire up the grill and
come to the rescue ((humorously)"...you don't have to cook for me! There
are more ways to a man's heart than through his stomach!") {preach, my
brother}.
   Post-repast, Ed reminds his amour that their love-thing will work
only if they don't compete with people out of each other's pasts
   (Ed: "What? I should go out and buy a black wig and an earring?!
    Eve: "...wigs don't work; I tried that..." [Buh-ha-ha-ha-ha!]).

   Eve is reassured about her place in Ed's heart and home (the "Sue
Homemaker" thing is permanently deep-sixed), and the Dynamic Duo retire
to the bedroom for some serious whappa-whappa.
   Downstairs, and undetected, Michelle returns home early from her
trip, apparently about to redefine "coitus interruptus". ;)

   Tangerine Dream Central (houseboat).
   Alan bops in, and tries to apologize to T for prematurely judging
her. They get into a quasi-cute argument about secrecy and "cloaked"
intentions, but it's quickly ended when Tangie suggests they "forgive
each other and have a glass of iced tea" (Alan: "...I was brought up to
view forgiveness as a sign of weakness...forgive me..."). :)
   In the midst of a convo where T is telling Alan what she _doesn't_
want to do with her life (no corporate headquarters stuff, etc.), Cutter
calls and asks for an impromtu dinner date. Tangie: "...I'm 'in' for the
evening...".  :)
   Alan resumes their chat with a mini zen-puzzle, asking Tangie: "Do
you want _love_?"
   T: "Who doesn't? But you don't go around _shopping_ for it..."

   As T invites Alan over for next night's dinner, Cutter bangs on the
door, shouting "Police! Open up!". Tangie intercepts him outside, and
he's sent home with dispatch. ;))
   Back inside, Alan (noting that although trust is something he rarely
gives --- he trusts the Dream) accepts the dinner invite.

   Meanwhile, holed-up nearby (so I presume), Harry Jones, Alan's prison
arch-enemy, takes a knife he had been peeling an apple with and thrusts
it firmly into the personals section of the Springfield Journal
(intersecting Alan Michael's old ad --- nice touch):
   "Maybe (Tangie Hill) will be able to lead me to Alan Spaulding..."

   Cliffhanger!

   The credit scroll today included a full photo spread
   ("Matt" has been added; Nia Long, Jocelyn Seagraves are out).
   Hilary Edson's is changed (_slightly_ more flattering, IMO),
   as is Liz Kiefer, Sonia Satra and Melissa Hayden (to their
   advantage, also.).

   Best pics: Jean Carol, Maureen Garrett, Frank Dicopoulos,
              Morgan Englund, Maeve Kinkead, Michael Zaslow,
              Tina Sloan, Liz Kiefer, Melina Kanakaredes
              Jerry ver Dorn, Monti Sharp

   Who might want to rechoose photos?
   Hilary Edson       {can do better}
   Marj Dusay         {ditto}
   Justin Deas        {ditto}
   Vincent Irizarry   {ditto}
   Amelia Marshall    {goofy-looking; doesn't capture her sophistication}
   Ron Raines         {see above}
   Fiona Hutchison    {ditto}
   Marcy Walker       {ditto}

   Actually, for fun, all the featured actors should sit down with a
digitizing agent, and have their photos altered in whatever manner they
choose.
   Run those suckers every now and then, for snicks. ;))
   The mind boggles.
