   Alan's Lair.
Susan apparently jumps jealous when the Big A attempts to trot out on
a recon patrol to Alex's, fearing he might make a stop-over to see
Tangie.
She reminds him that she has to answer to her, um, employers (maybe
this should read, "Yakuza" ;) ) back home, and would hate to have to
report that he compromised the game plan by having his identity
uncloaked prematurely.
[During their exchange, Al also reinforces the fact that he
doesn't hate Alex, but simply intends to remind her "who
wears the pants" in the family (she bowed to his dominance
    during their youth).]

After his return from spying on Alex, Alan learns from Susan that
someone has been trying to track him down. She arranges to have the
registration of the car changed (negating the possibility of a
successful trace), and is then unceremoniously sent off to lunch. :)
Alan, wearing a growling expression, picks up an old copy of the
Springfield Journal (fold still revealing the Personals section), and
heads to the phone...

   Matriarch Mansion.
With Ginger (new hairdo) and Donna (graphically describing how she
heard a "story" of a boa constrictor sucking down a guy's leg) providing
brief diversion, Ed (at the behest of Nick), having checked out
Alexandra's lab reports, informs her that no residual venom remains from
the previous night's bite, but she should stay off her feet for awhile.
[Alan arrives on his recon mission, planting himself
in the hidden area behind a wall of the living room.]
The good doctor departs, and Nick is summoned for a chat.
Talk segues to an Alex 'N Alan childhood prank (ages 8 and 9), when
they goofed on a butler by shocking him with a well-placed snake (this
brings a smile from the hidden Alan).

Alex pretends to be a mite sicker than she really is (supposed to
be - the snake that bit her WAS the one with its venom sacks removed,
no?), successfully cajolling Nick into heading to Spaulding Enterprises
to assume control of the reins in her absence (right in line with her
master plan for her son's future (and separation from Mindy).
Fletch returns from a (bogus) upstairs search for Alex's gold
bracelet, is sat down, and immediately kissed and "felt-up" by Alex. :)
   Fletcher: "What's up??"
Alex: "I finally got the feeling that
everything is going to work out..."

   The Diner.
Blake, hot on the trail of Tangie's "mystery man", transports in,
and immediately pleads w/Frank for help in running down the limo's
license plate number. No go.
Eleni suggests that Blake may have hit on something, and suggests
that Frank re-start his "private eye" business (David thinks it's a good
idea, too, volunteering his services as "leg-man"). Bzzzt.
The Blake-ster next turns to Cutter in a nearby booth, and deploys a
lie about the limo in question hitting Ross (giving over the number in
the process). Frank bops over with the real story, tho, and Cutter
"declines" the gambit. However, finding out that the car belongs to
_Tangie's_ mystery man, Cutter makes a quick phone call and tries to
have it traced. :)
When Pat has to make a quick exit, Blake fields the call and gets the
limo info, and David (after initially hedging) agrees to act as driver
for her quest. They blow Dodge.

Cutter returns, Tangie transports in, and they make-up (over that
minor blow-out at Doris' (during the post-Alex "rescue" stuff), when Pat
tried to horn in on her private life w/questions about the guy she was
"entertaining" (actually Alan)).
Frank decides to close the diner early, but before he can kick out
the Non-Dynamic Duo, Pat makes a quick call to his source and discovers
that Blake intercepted the trace information.

During the private quality time, Frank declares that he finally
realizes Eleni is not just a wife, but a _partner_ in every sense of the
word; he wants them to proceed with a second marriage ceremony in
celebration of his new brains --- um, I mean, new attitude. ;)
Eleni accepts with great enthusiasm and some very preliminary plans
are quickly elucidated (who to invite, etc.).

   The Journal.
Holly teases Roger about his "rescue" of Alexandra ("...sucked her
leg, huh?" Rog: "It _wasn't_ an 'erotic' experience..."), and informs
him that she did him a favor by burying the story in the back pages of
the newspaper, and killing another involving a "missing snake from the
zoo". :)
[Re: the "erotic experience". Maybe not for Rog, but the way
Alexandra was carrying-on on top of her car (moaning, grimacing,
sighing, tensing-up, passing-out) --- and in light of her sus-
pected, vestigial romantic feelings for Roger, I wouldn't be
surprised if the writers intended that scene to intimate that
she was INDEED experiencing an orgasm! A left field observation,
but I stand on my (to-date, unblemished) track record. ;))]

Roger, now in a _very_ good mood, gives up new info on "Tashiwa"
("...he thought I went too far with Alex..."), and confides he suspects
his prospective benefactor is no more Asian than he is.
Holly: "Be careful with this guy; I don't
know him, but I don't like him..."
[Later, Holly expresses a minor fear of Roger becoming
re-involved w/Alex during this caper, but he gently
assuages those fears. Holly accepts his reassurances - SWAK.]

Blake arrives with David in tow (the limo info led to a vacant lot),
and he suddenly breaks south, noting that the mystery man in question,
quite obviously, does NOT want to be found ("...he could be
dangerous..."), and she didn't have permission from T to pursue, anyway.
Lecture over, "The Shadow" blows Dodge.
Tangie returns from her lunch run to Frank's diner, and reads Blake
the riot act for trying to track down the guy without her permission.
Almost immediately, T fields a call from Alan, who mistakenly believes
she was behind the attempt; no explanations on her part are accepted.
   Click.

However, back at The Lair, Alan picks up Ye Olde Copy of the Journal
(used it as source for T's phone number), and notices one personals ad
in particular, declaring out-loud, "..._'Father'_??...".

   That's right, Cadets!
Mr. Man has finally discovered Alan Michael's message!
   Cliffhanger!
