  ROGER'S HOTEL ROOM
Dinah doesn't think Roger and Vanessa hate each other, it's something
else. Roger says she couldn't be more wrong. Dinah saw the sparks
between them, "You would love to seduce a Chamberlin". Roger, "I already
have." Dinah says Vanessa is old-guard, one of the many who have
excluded him, wouldn't it be delicious revenge? Roger asks if she would
be jealous. Dinah would be a little, but it would be worth it. Roger
tells her she has to think of another way to get back at Vanessa, he's
not interested. Dinah thinks it would also be the perfect way to show
the world that he is over Holly.

  HONEYMOON (HOLLYMOON) SKI CABIN
Holly joins Fletcher under a blanket as he sits on a couch in front of a
fire.
    Fletch, "Shall we hyphenate?"
Holly, "Is that slang for something dirty?"
Fletch, "Maybe later." They've talked about Ms Holly Lindsay hyphen Reade,
what about Mrs. Fletcher Reade hyphen Lindsey? Holly says its too late,
she has initials on bath towels. Fletch tells her that he fell in
love with her right in this room, when they came here to prove there
wasn't a future in their relationship. But they convinced themselves of
the opposite. He was trying to get her ski boots off and he ended up
being this close (nose-to-nose), looking into her deep brown eyes, and he
just fell in love. They kiss.

  WSPR
Cutter asks Levy if they got the number before Brent hung up. He says
they're working on it. Lucy asks if she got him.

  BRENT'S HOTEL ROOM
Alan tells Brent that he was foolish for calling the station, it was a
trap set by the police. He hangs up the phone. Brent asks how Alan
found him. Alan says that's not important, what comes next is important.

  WSPR
A-M tells Lucy it's all over, she faced him down and that will put him
away. She went through hell, but proved Brent to be a pathetic, lying
coward who victimizes anyone he thinks is weaker than he is.

Buzz wants to go with Cutter to arrest Brent, but Cutter tells him that
no civilians are allowed and to stay out of it. Cutter tells Lucy she
did great. Tangie goes after Cutter to cover the story-- she tells Buzz
that it's her fight too.

  BRENT'S
Brent asks if it's retribution for holding a gun to his little
girlfriend's head. Alan, "I should have stepped on you like something
that crawls from under a rock." He shouldn't have believed anything
Brent said, he'd be better off dead. Brent says that his son tried
that. Alan tells Brent he's getting out of his life one way or another.

  ROGER'S HOTEL ROOM
Roger doesn't need help getting over Holly, it's a done deal. Dinah
tells him to be honest. Roger says he is. Dinah thinks it must be
eating him up inside, the thought of Holly & Fletcher together. The
woman he loved being touched and kissed and loved by another man.
"They're probably in bed right now. I wonder if they're talking about
you, if they're laughing about what they did to you." Roger doubts it,
they have better things to do, as he does. He's enjoying his freedom.
Dinah, "You've never struck me as anything but free." Roger tells her
that she's obviously never been in love. When you're in love, craving the
presence of another 24 hours a day, you are not free. Just the
opposite. He can now do what he wants and suggests she do the same. She
is fixated on things that aren't important. Dinah says that Vanessa
putting Matt's life before hers is important. Roger tells her that
Vanessa ultimately made the right decision and if Dinah continues to go
like this she'll be alone, bitter, obsessed with revenge, and a very
unhappy girl.

Blake calls and convinces Roger to have dinner with her at Lakeland. He
leaves and Dinah calls Vanessa to ask her to go to dinner too.

  HONEYMOON CABIN
Holly says that everything is perfect, but a little cliched. This is
what everyone does and she has a hard time seeing them as people who do
what everyone else does. Wouldn't Fletcher rather be at the stock car
races? He would, but they don't have any heart-shaped tubs with her in
them. They are the most unlikely romantic duo.
Holly, "At sunrise we'll go running on the beach in slow motion."
Fletch, "I hate to break it to you, but I always runs in slow mo."
Holly, "It's a part of the package. I saw it in the brochure. I'm
           being silly."
Fletch, "No, you're being funny, witty, pretty, thoughtful & sensitive
& all those things I fell in love with. Love is an industry,
           LOVE, INC."
Holly, "They tell you to buy the expensive prom dress."
Fletch, "The big ring and big wedding."
Holly, "And have the honeymoon in a place like this. Hearts & flowers.
There is no spontaneity, no surprise."
Fletch, "If it's not in the book of love, it's not real."
Holly, "I say throw the book out."
Fletch, "I never read the book. We act on our impulses, we aren't in
danger of becoming a cliche. We can handle a place like this, we'll play
the role of the ideal, romantic honeymoon couple. Then go back to their
wild & wonderful & wacky world."

The phone is blinking. Fletcher wants to answer, but Holly panics and
stops him.

  RESTAURANT
Roger joins Blake and asks what's wrong with her and her humorless
husband. She wants to talk about Roger because of Holly's wedding.
Roger tells her that he's finally over her. Blake, "You're giving up?
You just don't want to deal with the pain." Roger tells her that he's
not going to grieve eternally. What Holly did was healthy and he's going
to do the same. He's moving on. He has lots to be thankful for-- his
daughter. Roger asks what's wrong between her and Ross. She says it's
Dinah ("that lying calculating thing in a short skirt"). Dinah and
Vanessa arrive.

  WSPR
The Coopers hug Lucy, she wants to go to the police station to see Brent
brought in, but A-M convinces her to go to his yacht to wait and invites
the rest to come too. Lucy thanks Gilly for helping her through the
program, she kept her together.

Sid comes in and Gilly complains about his job with Alan. She doesn't
believe that Alan really wants to help Fifth Street. Sid thinks her
theory that Alan got her fired is bordering on paranoia, she doesn't have
any proof. Gilly says that Alan has something up his sleeve. Sid gets a
call, it's Alan asking if he's available for something important. Sid
tells Alan he can count on him.

  BRENT'S HOTEL
Police use a battering ram to break down the door. Tangie is behind them
as they go in and find the room empty. Cutter figures out that Brent is
gone and tells the other cops to look around, because Brent must be
bleeding like a stuck pig. Tangie watches.

  ANOTHER RUNDOWN ROOM
Alan helps Brent into the room and promises him medical attention. Brent
& his sister will live in comfort outside the country. Brent asks why
didn't he kill him. "You and your dream team of attorneys could have you
free in 5 minutes. Why are you talking arrangements? How are you going
to get to your son without me?" Alan says he loves his son, he doesn't
want to hurt A-M. Brent doesn't believe that. Alan made a mistake and
he never makes the same mistake twice. Brent will cease to be a problem,
he'll disappear quietly, then Alan will start healing his relationship
with A-M. "I always get what I want."

  YACHT
Lucy tries to get everyone to eat, but they're not too interested in
food. Lucy thanks Nadine for the talk they had-- it made her realize
that she's not the only one. A-M has been there for her, saying they'll
get through this. It must be... No she won't jinx it by saying the word.

  BRENT'S HOTEL ROOM
Cutter tells Tangie to leave. She doesn't want to go, it's an important
story and she has a vested interest. He turns away to talk to someone
else. She sees a button on the floor and picks it up. She tells Cutter
that he shouldn't keep the press away, the headline tomorrow could read:
"Injured man eludes crack detective". Cutter tells her that she and Alan
deserve each other and escorts her out.

  YACHT
Eleni and Frank go outside, she understands how he feels. He wants to be
a cop in order to protect his family. She thinks that's beautiful and he
should be what he has to be. He thanks her.

Alan arrives and tells them that Brent got away.

  HONEYMOON
Fletcher talks to Ben and tells him that he didn't interrupt anything,
they were between champagne & dessert. Holly apologizes when Fletch
hangs up. She had forgotten that Ben is the only one with the number.
Fletch, "Freaking out on a honeymoon can really set a guy back." Holly
tries to get him to forget about it and eat cavier, but Fletch wants to
talk. She thought it was Roger. Fletch asks what she thought he was
going to do. She says it was a knee-jerk reaction. He reminds her what
Roger said at their wedding, doesn't she believe him? Holly has to break
a long standing habit. Fletch says it's over. Holly, "Is it so hard to
imagine him pounding on that door when that's exactly what he did last
winter?" Fletch will see that it's over. Holly is so happy, she doesn't
want to see anything spoil it. He tells her she can't trust Roger, but
she can trust him.
Fletch, "I'm going to make sure we are the happiest couple on the face of
this earth."
Holly, "Where did I find you? I don't want you snatched away from me."
Fletch, "You got me Red. I'm not going anywhere."
Holly, "I love you, don't you ever doubt it."
Fletch, "I love you and don't you ever doubt that I'll protect you and
keep you safe. The only way that Roger can get to us, is if we let him
and we're not going to let him."
  Holly, "Subject closed. Let's hyphenate!"
Fletch, "Is that slang for something dirty?"
  Holly, "You betcha!"
Fletch, "Oh boy, oh boy, oh boy!"
They go to the bed.

  RESTAURANT
Roger tells Blake not to worry about Dinah, "she'll only get between you
and Ross if you let her." Blake can't ignore her. Roger says Dinah is just
going through a rebellious stage-- many young women do. Blake tells him
she was never like Dinah. Roger thinks it's curious that Blake
interpreted what he said in that way. Blake wants Roger to get Viktor to
inform on Dinah. He tells her to stop, she's letting it eat her up, she
has a husband and a future. She's wasting her energy going after
something that's not there. She tries to change the subject back to
Roger. He is seeing what he has, beside his daughter, he has a son Hart
out there somewhere. He's going to find him and tell him about Peter.
He missed so much time with Chrissie when she was growing up and he
doesn't want Hart to go through the same thing. He also wouldn't mind
having more grandchildren to spend time with. Blake is reconsidering
having a baby.

Vanessa and Dinah are interrupted by a business phone call for Vanessa. As
she leaves her table, Roger stops her to thank her for the book. Vanessa
leaves and Dinah tells him he always enjoyed a challenge-- go for it. He
smiles and watches Dinah walk away.

Vanessa tells Dinah that the call was from a Texan who likes to deal with
men and since H.B., Billy & Josh are gone, he asks when Lewis Oil will get
a "real" president. Dinah, "A real chauvinist "cochon" (pig). Vanessa says
there are lots of men like that. Dinah tells her to dump him. Vanessa
would love to, but he holds lots of oil leases and they can't afford to lose
him.

Dinah feels so sorry for Roger, losing the woman he loves in front of
half of Springfield. She wants to invite him to join them for drinks.
Vanessa isn't too keen on it, but Dinah waves them over anyway. Blake
won't stay and Roger hesitantly agrees. Vanessa has another call from
Sam McCullers (sp?) (the Texan). Dinah asks Roger if he went after
Vanessa before. Roger tells her he's not going to seduce her mother away
from Matt. Dinah pouts.

  YACHT
Buzz thinks someone is helping Brent. Alan says that he's not going to
get away. He wants to hire Buzz & Frank to find Brent. Frank tells Alan
that he closed the agency, but Alan wants him to open it for this one
case and he'll pay all his costs. Alan wants Brent Lawrence brought
down. Tangie peeks in the window.

  HONEYMOON CABIN
Fletch picks up Holly.
Holly, "What are you doing?"
Fletch, "Taking you across the threshold."
Holly, "What threshold?"
Fletch, "The bathroom threshold. That heart-shaped tub is calling our
names. Begging us to hyphenate again!"
He carries her in there, she tells him to be careful, and they both laugh.

  RESTAURANT
Dinah, "It would be like rolling off a log for you. Matt does not have
the sophistication, the style, or the wit that you have. Mother would
drop him in a minute." Roger, "Frankly, I do not have the interest in
your mother to devote the time, so you drop it." Dinah says Vanessa
deserves it for dropping her to go answer a business call. Roger tells
her she sounds like a spoiled brat. Dinah tells Roger about the guy from
Texas. Roger pumps her for more info, but she complains again about her
mother. Roger, "More adolescent whining." Dinah demands some sympathy.
He thinks that Dinah should cut Vanessa some slack if she's dealing with a
business crisis. Dinah goes to get her. Roger calls Leo and asks him to
dig up everything he can on Sam McCullers, who holds a great deal of
Lewis Oil leases.

  YACHT
Tangie looks at the button and goes in and tells them that she found
something. She sees that Alan is wearing a blazer with buttons that
match the one she has. One of them is missing from his blazer. She
changes her mind about telling them what she found. Alan wants to take
her home and talk about it, but she doesn't think she should. Buzz asks
what she found. She stares at Alan. Alan asks what she found.

That's it! Finally some honeymoon scenes. Karen
