Curbside; in front of the stately, granite townhomes of Franklin Park.
Alan is in a white, stretch limo w/Susan, bringing her up-to-speed
about Springfield players and the city in general. Suddenly, he spots
Tangie taking a seat on one of the townhome steps, about to chow down
lunch (intermittently fanning herself; a very hot day). A can't take his
eyes off the girl, but nonetheless manages to send Susan off to Jenna's
hotel on recon patrol (using the door opposite Tangie).
The Dream spots him alone in the limo, and invites herself in for a
chat and some air conditioning. :) During the convo, Alan learns that
she 1> works for Holly 2) knows Roger and 3) is good friends with
Blake.
                [Gooooooooooooal! Goooooooooooal!]
Tangie also shows him the personals section of the Journal,
explaining that that, and being a go-fer supreme, are her duties at the
newspaper. Al completely misses Alan Michael's "plea" ad to him.
   Alan's offer of a "two-hour, escape-from-the-heat drive in the
country" is coquettishly turned down, and T exits to return to work.

Blake transports en scene, post-job disscussion/visit with Roger at
WSPR (foreshadowing statement of the day is delivered there: "Don't
worry, Dad; something is out there for me...").
[Prior to her visit, the Dodger was busy trying to learn
if security had spotted "Tashua" the previous night.]
Blake spots the limo pulling off, learns that it contains Tangie's
"mystery man", then takes off her shoes and runs after it!
                      [Buh-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha! :)))]

                   [Groucho accent/mannerisms: ON]
                     Well, _this_ is certainly a
                    "bitch-in-heat" joke of a
                     different color.........
                        [Grouchoacc.: OFF]

Several (puff, puff) minutes later (puff, puff), Blake returns to
Tangie's side: "...I almost caught it at the stoplight...". [:)))]
T, amused with her friend's enthusiasm, nevertheless tells her to let
it slide, and returns to work.
Blake pulls out a slip of paper on which she had captured the limo's
license plate number, vowing to get to the bottom of the mystery. ;)

   Jenna's hotel room.
Seems that the J-ster has gotten it into her mind that she's capable
of fighting Alexandra over the squashing of her Leichester Square Lotion
concern, and so, has invited Sid over to talk lawsuit.
Despite being schmoozed, touched a lot, and called "Dah-ling" about
20 times, Sid is in the act of painfully informing Jenna that, no, he
can't bring suit against Spaulding Enterprises working on a contingency
basis [;)] --- when Alan-Michael walks in. The Dark Prince will, of
course, have nothing to do with a lawsuit, and Sid gracefully takes his
leave ("...I wouldn't feel 'comfortable,' knowing the way your partner
feels..." Jenna: "I don't want you to feel comfortable! I want you to
win!") .
In all-out lioness-mode, Jenna then invokes childhood memories of
having to scrounge for every scrap of food and clothing for herself and
her mother, and vows not to travel down that road again. AM isn't
buying, notes that he "has his own brass ring to grab", and exits.
Jenna calls to make an appointment for a sonogram (to determine
baby's due date), is informed that she can be seen immediately, and
transports out --- narrowly missing Alan's aide de camp, Susan, who, in
best lurking-Spinner fashion, had been spying outside the hotel room
door, in an attempt to gain info which would somehow bind Jenna to Alan
and his takeover plan.
I think the matter of the baby's security should do it, huh? :)

   Company.
Dylan and David have cooked up a "What you missed on your 7th
birthday" birthday celebration for Jet.
   1st up, an old-style girl's banana-seat bicycle, complete with a horn
and streamers (and packaged in a wrapped, bowed box which is a good 7x
larger in volume than the gift itself. :) ). It's gleefully taken for a
brief spin around the room, before being crashed into a chair. :)
Next, a mystery surprise which David has arranged. Dylan, on-cue,
takes Bridget out for a long walk. Before Dave can leave to finalize
things, however, he gets a bad news-call from Mrs. Pappas: she can't
make it there to babysit Peter.

Fortunately, Gilly shows up to bend her brother's ear about WSPR
doings, and is talked into the gig, allowing David to transport out.
Before she can get settled, Peter's wails emerge from the monitor.
She brings the kid downstairs, and engages him in, um, "conversation"
about her woes concerning some employees she has to lay-off (cute scene
- the baby is very attentive throughout).
Sid shows up, and quickly displays expert diaper-changing skills (he
comes from a large family). Afterwards, he and Pete exchange a "high-
five" [! the kid actually slapped his hand on-cue!].
During later convo, Gilly lets it be known that she has NO plans to
start a family of her own, and asks Sid if he's surprised.
   Sid: "...not surprised; _interested_...".

Meanwhile, in Franklin Park, Acts Two and Three of Jet's birthday
thing are engaged: a baby sheep and goat from the town's petting zoo,
and a humongoid (overly-frosted, blue&white) cake with a large "seven"
embedded in the center.
David takes his leave so the two lovebirds can have some quality
time. Later, Dylan reminds Bridget that the day's events are a
demonstration that plans _can_ come to fruition, and asks for a chance
to make some larger plans, couple-wise.
   Much spit is swapped.

Across the street, on the steps of a townhome, Alan Michael (dejected
due to Alan's lack of response to his personals ad), paper in hand, vows
to reunite with his father.

[So let me get this straight. We're looking at a war with Alan,
Roger and Alan Michael on one side, and Alexandra, Nick and
Vanessa on the other? This is a contest?! ;)
The "wild cards" (Blake, Holly, Jenna) are going to rule supreme.]
