Evening in Springfield, USA...

RUSTIC HONEYMOON SUITE: Phillip is surprised & confused to find Beth
waiting for him when he arrives. She thought he might need her. She
couldn't stay away. Phillip reminds her that the doctor recommended
that he bring Lizzie to camp alone, so that they could bond. Beth
informs him that she checked into the hotel as his wife.

BEN'S APARTMENT: Holly searches fruitlessly for the video of Ben &
Blake in bed. Ben catches & tells her that no matter what she does,
she can't help, because Blake can't help herself when it comes to
him. Out in the hall, the elevator opens & Blake steps out.

LEWIS HOUSE: As Josh packs a few things that the kids forgot to take
to Rusty's, Cassie asks if he doesn't want to wait a little bit on
the wedding. Just then, the clone starts downstairs with a suitcase.
As she watches Josh & Cassie, she remembers her last encounter with
Reva. Reva begged to be reunited with her family, but the clone said
she would just leave Reva in the sauna to die.

The clone joins Josh & Cassie in the living room. She asks if they
were talking about her. Josh says they were just talking about
packing. The clone wants to apologize to Cassie for the way she's
acted toward her, and she wants to try to be a good sister from now
on. She feels that the wedding will make a big difference in her
life. Cassie says the clone hasn't done anything wrong & none of this
is her fault. The clone smiles happily.

SAUNA: Reva hangs onto her chain despondently. She remembers the
clone saying she would leave Reva to die. Reva refuses to die this
way, but she appears very weak.

LEWIS HOUSE: The clone wants to move on & be real sisters with
Cassie. It would mean a lot to her. Cassie seems touched. Reva
realizes that Cassie probably doesn't want to attend the wedding, but
Cassie says it's OK. The clone asks Cassie to be her maid of honor &
Cassie agrees. The clone hugs Cassie in delight.

TOWERS CLUB: Vicky informs Alan that she's got her team together &
the project is ready to go. Alan wishes Michael had had Vicki's
viewpoint. Vicki says her credentials in medical research are every
bit as good as Michael's. Alan has no doubt of this.

Ross and Griffin enter, chatting about the turnover at City Hall.
Griff notices Alan with disdain & asks if Ross knows the identity of
the woman with him. Ross has seen her before, but doesn't know her
name. Griffin thinks she looks very familiar, but can't place her.

Alan assures Vicki that he has faith in her. His fear is that Alan
has already cloned someone & used the growth formula on the clone.
Vicki believes that, but has no proof. Alan wants to be on the
cutting edge. They toast to medical breakthroughs. Alan recalls that
Michael led him to believe that he'd cloned someone, but the clone
had died. But Michael never actually said that, so the clone could be
out there somewhere, alive. Vicki admits this is possible. Alan adds
that Josh was the initial backer of the project, and he certainly
knows something. Vicki knows Josh won't tell Alan anything. Alan
thinks he might be able to figure the whole thing out. He wonders if
Vicki has any ideas. She claims to have no clue, and since Michael
caught her going through his papers, he's unlikely to tell her
anything else ever again. Alan considers Josh. He's a cautious man,
risk-averse. His weakness is Reva. But he could never handle 2 Revas.

HONEYMOON SUITE: Phillip sighs heavily & reminds Beth that they
agreed he would make this trip alone with Lizzie. Beth says she
changed her mind. Phillip is sick of everyone telling him how
important Lizzie is. He knows. He tells Beth that she's screwing
everything up. She says all she's trying to do is put their family
back together. Phillip says she's pushing too hard & right now is a
really bad time to do that. Beth says again that they have to put
their family back together & Phillip cracks. He flings a vase off the
desk & yells, "Don't tell me what I have to do!"

BEN'S APT: Through the door, Blake hears Holly telling Ben off. Blake
enters & Ben laughs delightedly that it's his lucky day. Blake tells
him not to book a trip to Vegas just yet. Ben informs her that since
she couldn't tell Ross the truth, Holly was coming to her rescue.
"Fortunately for me, as a cat burglar, Holly makes a pretty good
publisher." Blake thinks that Holly's mission was a bad idea. It's
just what Ben wants. "What he wants is you," corrects Holly. "And
here you are."

Blake knows Holly was trying to help, but wants her to leave now.
This is her problem & she wants to handle it on her own. Holly
refuses to leave without Blake. Ben offers to make drinks. Blake says
they're not staying. She wants to speak with Ben alone. Holly & Blake
argue heatedly about whether or not Blake is staying to talk to Ben,
dredging up all sorts of sordid incidents from one another's past in
the process, ending with Blake's reminder that Fletcher left Holly &
took their child. Blake steps back & apologizes. Holly forgives her &
hugs her.

LEWIS HOUSE: The clone wants Cassie's help getting her old, new,
borrowed & blue stuff. Cassie agrees. The clone wants the wedding to
be perfect. Josh just wants his family to be happy. The clone says
they will be. Josh remembers that the kids asked him to bring their
snorkeling gear, which is out in the poolhouse. The clone offers to
go get it. Josh says he'll get the car & meet her outside.

Josh sees that the clone got to Cassie. Cassie admits that the clone
is a real person & Josh is too far in to back out. She has just one
question: "Are you going to love her the way a man loves a wife?"

SAUNA: Reva struggles vainly to pull her chain out of the floor, then
collapses in exhaustion. She prays that Sean somehow got her letter.
The clone enters & sees Reva collapsed on the floor. "Don't die like
this," she pleads absurdly.

TOWERS CLUB: Vicki asks why it's so important for Alan to find out
who Michael cloned. Alan says Vicki needs to understand that when
someone crosses him, that person becomes Alan's enemy forever. He
doesn't take kindly to people hurting his family members or loved
ones, either. Vicki asks what Josh did to Alan. Alan says Josh took
someone that he allowed himself to love & ruined her for any other
man. "You mean ruined her for you," clarifies Vicki. Alan says he
would forgive Annie for everything she ever did to him, but she left
without ever knowing that. Vicki asks if Annie died. Alan says Josh
drove her away. Alan will do anything necessary to get Annie back.

Ross & Griffin discuss the disciplinary measures for Ben. Griff says
Ben will be disbarred. Ross will be happy to see Ben get what's
coming to him. Griff thinks Blake will be happy too. He mentions that
he heard she got a restraining order against Ben. "She did what?!"
asks Ross.

HONEYMOON SUITE: Beth says she doesn't know who Phillip is. Phillip
says he's walking a tightrope in a situation that he had no part in
creating. Beth finds this laughable. Phillip reminds Beth that she
asked for the divorce, replaced him with Carl. Beth says that was
Alan's doing & she's just trying to put their family back together
for Lizzie. Phillip calls her on this. It's not about Lizzie--it's
about Beth. "At least be honest!" he demands. Beth can't believe he's
blaming her for what happened with Carl. He points out that she
didn't call the police, or him. She just allowed it to continue.

Beth says Phillip has no idea what it's like to be alone & filled
with fear. She hated herself. Phillip wasn't there to help her. Every
night she prayed that he wouldn't come back, but he did. It was so
bad, she didn't care if he killed her or not, except for Lizzie.
"Don't you judge me!" she cries. Phillip looks abashed as Beth sobs
on the couch. He sits behind her & apologizes for losing it. He knows
it wasn't her fault. He's just confused & he wants to do the right
thing. Tentatively, he touches her back & she turns to him & cries on
his shoulder. He rocks her gently, arms around her.

BEN'S: Holly apologizes to Blake for her earlier harsh words. She
just wanted to warn Blake that tempting fate with a man like Ben, who
is "a moral image" of Roger, is a one-way ticket to ruin. Blake tells
Holly not to worry; fate won't be tempted. She knows what she's doing
& asks Holly to trust her. Holly finally leaves.

Ben says Holly is taking things very hard, & he feels sorry for her.
Blake tells him not to insult her by pretending to care about her or
her family. "Just hand me the lousy tape."

LEWIS HOUSE: Josh says he's accepted the clone into his life & his
family. Marrying her is the right thing to do. But will he love her?
asks Cassie. Josh tells Cassie not to worry about him. They'll all be
fine. Life's about falling down, getting up & moving on. He's sure
he'll be OK. Cassie thinks he's a great guy. He tells her to go get
ready & he'll see her & Hart at Cross Creek. He says to pack a lot of
clothes, because they might stay a couple of weeks. Cassie departs.

Josh looks at a picture of his family & talks to Reva. He says she
was the best wife any man could hope for, and he'll miss her every
day of his life. He says he's doing this for their children. They
need a mother & the clone loves them. She has a heart & feels
compassion & pain & love. And she needs somebody to take care of her.
"I'll die loving you," he says. Then he grabs a box & walks outside,
leaving a note in the mailbox (and the lights on inside

SAUNA: Reva lifts her head & says she knows the clone has a heart,
and that she loves Josh. But what she's doing is inhuman. Nobody
deserves to die this way. "Stop talking about dying!" insists the
clone. She won't look at Reva. She's going away to Cross Creek for
two weeks. Reva knows the reason the clone can't look at her is
because she can't face the fact that she's killing Reva. She asks the
clone to at least bring her some food & water. The clone tells Reva
to shut up. Reva says it's not too late for the clone to fix things &
not be hurt. The clone begs Reva to stop. Reva begs the clone to do
the right thing. The clone turns to look at Reva.

TOWERS CLUB: Vicki understands that Alan loved Annie very much. Alan
says he wants to move on with his life & get the cloning project
started ASAP. He even has an idea for the first subject. Vicki asks
who it is. Alan pulls out his wallet.

Holly enters & heads straight for the bar, ordering a vodka martini,
"very dry & very cold." Ross makes a call on his cell phone.

Alan pays the bill & returns his credit card to his wallet, looking
at Annie's photo as he does so. He tells Vicki he expects great
things from their partnership. Vicki asks if he's really making her a
partner. Alan says if things go well, he will. He departs.

Ross worries because there's no answer at home. Blake didn't say she
was going out. Griffin thinks there's no reason to worry. Ross asks
if Griff is sure about the restraining order. Griff is positive.

Griff excuses himself & walks over to Vicki. He's finally remembered
where he's seen her. It was when he guest-lectured in Chicago last
year. She was in the audience & at the cocktail hour afterward, she
asked him all kinds of questions about Springfield & the Spauldings.
Vicki says she's just about to leave, but maybe they could get
together soon & get reacquainted. Griff says he'd like that.

Ross continues to wonder over Blake & the restraining order. He sees
Holly sitting at the bar & goes over, startling her. He asks if she
knows where Blake is. Holly answers vaguely that Blake might have
said something about running errands. Ross asks if Holly knew that
Blake got a restraining order against Ben. He can see the answer in
her face. He asks when Blake did it, and what Ben did to make Blake
do such a thing. Ross says he needs to talk to Blake. "Where the hell
is she?" Holly just sips her drink.

HONEYMOON SUITE: Phillip apologizes for making Beth feel bad. He
doesn't blame her for what happened. He's just confused & frustrated.
There are so many things he wishes could have been different. Beth
says a lot of her wishes never came true, but a few did, like Lizzie.
Phillip sees that Beth is cold & wraps a blanket around her. Then he
orders some tea from room service. Phillip sits on the bed across
from Beth & suggests that maybe this fight was a good thing. It got
some of their feelings & anger out in the open. Phillip's been angry
at Beth for a long time -- for divorcing him, for wanting him back,
and especially for not trusting him with the truth about Lizzie. Beth
never thought they could be so awkward with each other. She misses
their comfortableness together. So does Phillip.

There's a knock at the door & Phillip is surprised that room service
was so quick. He calls out that the door's open. The psychiatrist
enters with Lizzie, who's delighted to see her mom & dad together.

The psychiatrist says Lizzie was anxious to see her dad. Lizzie runs
to Phillip & thanks him for getting Beth to come. Lizzie runs to Beth
& starts to cry when she thinks Beth might leave. Beth says it's
important for Lizzie & Phillip to spend some time together. The
psychiatrist reminds Lizzie that they were going to get some ice
cream. She says they'll go downstairs & get some, and give Lizzie's
parents time to say goodbye. Lizzie is distressed by the word
"goodbye." Beth reassures Lizzie that it's just for a little while &
they'll be back together soon. Lizzie & the doctor leave.

Phillip sighs & starts to say something, but Beth stops him. She says
it will be all right. She adds that Phillip is still the only one for
her, despite everything that's happened. She wants to be the only one
for him again, too. She picks up her bags & leaves.

BEN'S: Blake asks for the tape again. Ben asks why he should do
anything for her. He also points out that she's just violated her own
restraining order by coming to his place. Blake says he should do it
because he cares about her. She knows he's not the awful person he
pretends to be. She asks again for the tape, saying it's important to
her. Ben says it's important to him too. Whenever he wants to see
her, all he has to do is play it. Blake says the games are over. She
just wants the tape. Ben grabs a tape & hands it toward her. She
reaches for it & he pulls it away. He says it's hers on the condition
that she sit & watch it with him now.

SAUNA: The clone apologizes, but says Reva has to stay in the
poolhouse. "This is my life now." Reva says the clone can't leave her
there to die. "Forgive me," says the clone, and walks out. Reva
screams out desperately after her.

CAR: The clone throws the snorkeling gear in the back seat & says
she's ready to go. Josh asks if she's OK. Her face looks a little
flushed. The clone says she's ready to start her new life. Josh
starts the car.

LEWIS HOUSE: Sean comes to the door & knocks, but gets no answer. He
sees the note in the mailbox & reads it. It's a message to hold mail
delivery for two weeks. He crumples the paper & tosses it away,
realizing that he's too late, as the screen fades to black.
