GL Update
Tuesday, June 25, 1996
by Joe Beason
(I want hazard pay for having to actually watch Marcus' scenes! How did
this man win an Emmy???)

Boarding House

"The role of J Chamberlain will now be played by Ethan Ericson (sp?)."

J goes running out of the boarding house, Nola calling after. Dahlia
comes knocking; Marcus answers.

Police Station Lock-Up

Leo comes to visit Roger. Despite Leo's request to be left in the dark,
Roger tells him, "I killed my son."

The Bratcave

Dinah3 wakes up, and tells the sleeping Hart5 that she loves him. He
wakes up, she doesn't repeat herself. The two start the morning nookie
thing. (I liked Hart4 better, but lord, that Hart5 has been working
out. Mmm-mmm.)

Boarding House

Marcus offers Dahlia breakfast; she refuses, but thanks him for saving
her from her would-be john/rapist. Marcus wants to start over with her,
start dating; Dahlia seems hesitant.

Lock-Up

Leo freaks. Roger tries to explain himself. Leo freaks some more.
Roger tells him about seeing Hart rising out of the coffin. Leo is
getting very nervous. Roger tells him about the archaeological dig.
Leo decides it's time toleave, giving Roger all sorts of reassurances.

The Cave

Morning nookie continues. At least the music was nice.

Commercial

Casa de Bloss

Blake has some quality time with Holly. Holly asks pointed questions
about Blake's mood for the past few months. Blake evades nicely.

Lock-Up

Ross makes fun of Roger. (I'll never get over the fact that they're
each other's father/son-in-law.) Why are all the good guys on the show
so smug and sanctimonious? As Ross starts to leave, Levy comes in,
drops Dinah and Hart's names in conversation with Roger. Ross starts to
get upset.

Laurel Falls/The Cave

Cleary and Cooper are nosing around. Cut to Dart cuddling. They hear
the cops outside.

Laurel Falls/The Cave

Dart quickly dresses, Hart vamooses. Frank sees Dinah. The cops chit-
chat with her. She was just looking around the cave for "clues", in her
tailored outfit. Riiiiight. "Your husband buys a coffin and puts it in
the back of a pick-up truck and you don't even know what for, you start
to wonder." Dinah agrres to let them search the apartment. Hart creeps
around in the background.

Lock-Up

Ross freaks at Roger, Levy oh-so-professionally tells Ross about
everything the cops know and suspect. Levy tells Ross to leave, Roger
tells Ross to not say anything to Blake.

Boarding House

Marcus keeps trying to schmooze with Dahlia. J tells Marcus about a
call from Hamp. Marcus gets snippy. Dahlia wants to leave, Marcus has
her stay put while he calls Hamp back. Dahlia and J chit-chat. (This J
is soooo much better than the evil creature who just left.) J brings up
a party coming up. Dahlia asks him to take her. As Marcus returns, J
accepts the offer, then leaves. Marcus looks hurt.

Boarding House

Marcus grabs hold of Dahlia. "Let me go." Marcus is upset, Dahlia cuts
him cold. "If you're looking for a soulmate, I'm not it." Dahlia
exits, J returns. Marcus gets in J's face. J is cool as a cucumber.
"Everybody strikes out sometimes. Even you." Marcus slams out, Nola
comes in. (I'm liking Dahlia more, Marcus less and less.)

Bloss House

Holly and Blake continuing their chat. Ross enters, tells Blake about
the Hart/Roger mess. Holly recalls when Hart came to ask if Roger was
dangerous.

The Penthouse

Dinah acts the innocent while filling the cops' brains with more
indicators of Roger's supposed mental problems. As they search, Dinah
"finds" the bottle of psycho-juice, and shows it to Frank.

Commercial

The Penthouse

More Dinah/cop chitchat. Nell recalls that the bottle is the same one
Leo wanted to get so badly from the police. Marcus strolls in as the
police exit, and tells Dinah he's come to collect on a favor.

The Boardinghouse

J and Nola argue a little about Dahlia, it quickly segues into talking
about summer jobs and responsibility, then to J bitching about Quint.
Nola tells J that Quint is summering in Springfield.

Lock-up

Roger ranting and raving in his cell, alone. Yet another flashback to
the shooting. The lights go out in the cell.

Commercial

The Diner's Alley

Dahlia recalling her times in Florida with Marcus.

Penthouse

Marcus asks Dinah for help with Dahlia. Her advice sounds suspiciously
like the way she was swept off her feet by Hart.

Bloss House

Holly exits. Blake wants to go talk to Roger; Ross doesn't want her to.

Lock-Up

Roger calls out to the guards about the lights. In walks a guard.
It's...Hart! And he has a gun! (Verrry secure police station.)
Roger's mouth drops open in horror, and FREEZE!
