			GUIDING LIGHT UPDATE
                        TUESDAY, May 21, 1996

In the Land of Wishes, Hopes, and Dreams:
Josh and Annie are kissing before each leaves for work. They discuss her
injured foot until the doorbell rings. It's Reva and she needs to see
Josh.

Matt & Vanessa's Living Room:
Vanessa wants Matt to move his toolbox so she can go out. She's on her way
to see Hart so they can end this thing with Roger once and for all before
anyone gets hurt.

Cedars:
Roger (in full fantasy mode) imagines Lillian wheeling a cart with a body
bag, to let him identify Dina's remains gathered from the railroad tracks.
He mourns her beauty very loudly as Lillian tries to soothe him. When she
leaves, he bursts into a grin. Enter Lillian for real. He asks if Dina
has been admitted; she didn't come home last night;.he puts on quite a show
of concern, but Lillian knows better.

Rooftop:
Hart and Dina embrace as he assures her she's all right.

Lewis-Reardons:
Matt urges Vanessa to stay out of the Dina-Hart-Roger situation. Hart is a
big boy who can take care of Roger by himself. Vanessa finally realizes
that Dina is in on Hart's plan, too. Matt won't confirm or deny.

Cedars:
Roger tries a new tactic--he tells Lillian he wants to confide in her about
Dina's medical problems. He claims she's depressed and lethargic and he
doesn't know what to do. Lillian's not eager for details, but says if he
really wants help there is a psychiatric clinic in Suite 1212.

Rooftop:
Dina's scared; she doesn't know what is happening to her. Hart is
convinced Roger is behind this. What if Roger is drugging her? After all,
he was a spy and he has access to drugs. He has motive and opportunity,
too. Dina agrees and they conclude that this has been going on since the
end of April when they destroyed Roger's computer records. They reason if
he couldn't get to Dina in one way he would try another method.

Land of W H and D:
Reva and Annie spar about why Reva came and why Annie is still at home.
Enter Buzz, who reveals they have come to ask for Josh's help with Fifth
Street.

Cedars:
Blake asks Lillian if Annie is in yet. When she learns it will be a while,
Blake says maybe she will have her prescription for prenatal vitamins
filled while she waits. Roger overhears.

Rooftop:
Hart and Dina agree the drug must be a psychoactive one. Dina begins to
recall all the special drinks Roger has concocted recently. She also
remembers the story Roger told her about a drug that eats away at your
mind. The more she remembers, the more freaked out she becomes.

Lewis-Reardons:
Vanessa is alarmed by Dina's involvement. Roger is too much for Hart and
Dina--he's dangerous and may retaliate. Matt still wants her to stay out
of it.

Rooftop:
Dina recalls that after a certain period of time the results of the drug
are irreversible. She thinks the time Roger mentioned was a month. She
also remembers when a vial of medicine was delivered to the penthouse.
Roger told her it was for his allergies.

Cedars:
Blake really isn't in the mood to chat with her father. Has he forgotten
all the rotten things he's done lately? Until he gets help, she's not
letting him near her babies.

LOWHAD:
Reva, Buzz, and Josh finish discussing a plan to distribute fliers on Fifth
Street as Annie looks on and holds her head.. When Buzz and Reva leave,
Annie admits to Josh that she isn't crazy about him getting involved in
Fifth Street. Why does it have to be him? He says it's the right thing
to do and exits for work. Before she leaves Annie flashes back to a
conversation she had with Blake in which she worried about getting Josh by
default.

Diner:
Buzz and Reva have returned from distributing fliers. Reva wants to know
why Buzz insisted on enlisting her ex-husband's help. Buzz says there are
three reasons: 1) he needs someone with Josh's money, name and clout; 2) he
can't win Reva's love by hiding her away from Josh; and 3) he's convinced
when Reva sees Buzz and Josh together she will realize what a wimp Josh
really is. Furthermore, he always tries to think what Alan Spaulding would
do and then do the opposite. He knows you can never outshine a memory--and
he's sure if Reva sees enough of Josh and him that he will win her love
eventually. The conversation then descends into a contest of
heritages...he claims since he is Greek he is a good discus thrower. They
begin flinging paper plates at each other and all over the diner.

Rooftop:
Hart doesn't want Dina to go back to Roger at the penthouse, but she wants
to finish their plan. He warns her not to eat or drink anything that isn't
sealed and she agrees to search for the vial. Dina really appreciates
everything Hart is doing for her. She exits as he stares into space and
clenches his fists.

Cedars:
Blake confirms she's having twins, but she intends to keep Roger away from
them. He's angry, but Blake doesn't care. She has her own children to
protect. Exit Roger and enter Annie. She has a headache and her ankle
hurts (she's also an hour late for work) but she still has time to talk to
Blake. Blake admits she didn't tell Ross she slept with Rick or that one
baby is his.

Lewis-Reardons:
Matt reveals Dina's message to her mother--let her do it her way. If
Vanessa doesn't keep out, he predicts she will lose Dina forever.
Furthermore, he's sure Vanessa is capable of keeping out if she really
wants to. Vanessa crushes a light bulb in her hand, drawing blood.

Thorpe Penthouse:
Enter Dina. She calls for Roger, but he's not home. She begins ransacking
the house, searching for the vial. Enter Roger who asks what is she doing?
She pretends to be crazy, telling him his hair looks nice the way he has
it combed. Convinced she has completely lost it, he mumbles "soon, very
soon."

Diner:
Buzz and Reva are involved in a giggling, kissing embrace ala paper plates
as Josh enters. Reva's embarrassed. Buzz leaves on some errand and Reva
stiffly thanks Josh for his help with the fliers.

Cedars:
Annie is frustrated that Blake didn't tell Ross the truth. As Annie rubs
her head, Blake says she intends to bury the truth so deep that
archeologists won't be able to find it...and of course, she needs Annie's
help.

Lewis-Reardons:
Matt bandages Vanessa's hand. He urges her to trust in Dina.

Penthouse:
Dina, "coming to," says she thinks she blanked out. Roger claims to be
worried. She says it happened last night also and she nearly jumped off a
roof. She thinks she should see a doctor. Roger says he thinks what she
needs is TLC from her husband, beginning with a glass of orange juice.
Sending her off to take a bath he returns with the OJ, pours a glass and
dumps the drug into it. "That ought to about do it," he whispers as Dina
spies from the doorway.

No Credits.
