                        GUIDING LIGHT UPDATE
                        Tuesday, May 7, 1996

Orlando Hotel: Alex and Amanda exchange catty remarks as Frankenstein
(Philip) lurks.

Cedars: Ed turns reluctant candy striper Michelle over to Annie for a tour
and inservicing.

Another Room at Cedars: Ross cross-examines Blake about taking the CVS
test. He's worried about a potential medical problem for the twins; she's
evasive.

Orlando exterior: Lucy and AM discuss Alan's ring (a recent gift to AM) as
Frankenstein eavesdrops. Lucy inquires why AM never mentions his older
brother.

Cedars: Blake admits she had the CVS test and claims she didn't tell Ross
because she didn't want to worry him. He says don't shut me out; he loves
her and they will work through whatever this problem is. Blake isn't
convinced.

Orlando: Various Universal Studios candids of Buzz, Reva, Rick, Lucy, AM,
Frank, Eleni, Alex, and Amanda. Amanda plays tour guide. Lucy and AM kiss
and then separate to go off and dress for the wedding. Rick and
Frankenstein rendezvous while Lucy and AM utter more sappy dialog and swap
spit. (Sorry, but this whole four day commercial and wedding ordeal is
getting to me.)

Cedars: Michelle tells Annie she wants to duck out on her candy striping
and go meet J-no-dot.  Annie refuses to lie on Michelle's time sheet;
Michelle pouts.

Orlando Hotel Room: Eleni, Alex, and Amanda help Lucy prepare for the
wedding. Eleni has an attractive turquoise, spaghetti strap cocktail
dress; Alex is wearing a tasteful, understated royal blue gown; and
Amanda's decked out in a horrible scarlet number that seems to include
breast implants and a cutaway midriff. They offer Lucy the traditional
borrowed (Eleni's handkerchief), blue and new (sapphire earrings), and old
(diamond bracelet).

Another Orlando Hotel Room: The boys (Rick, Alan, Frank) are helping AM
dress. They argue about AM's tie. Frank and Alan exit, leaving Rick to
talk with AM alone. The conversation turns to Philip and AM's evasive.

Outside Still Another Orlando Hotel Room: Philip is perseverating on
someone in his family setting him up. Enter Marcus with a note for Dahlia
that he's afraid to deliver. Philip agrees to deliver it in his stead.

Cedars: Ross tries to reassure Blake of his love and understanding.

Also at Cedars: Very boring conversation between Annie and Michelle about
her love for J-no-dot. Annie advises restraint; Michelle replies that
sounds pretty lame for the '90's. Michelle is somewhat reminiscent of the
early Bridget and her brief foray into candy striper medicine.

Orlando Hotel Room: Rick and AM continue their strange conversation about
Philip. AM sounds very guilty (I remember that he and Philip parted on
friendly terms five years ago--either I'm forgetting something or history
has been rewritten.) but his red vest is fetching. Exit Rick; enter Alan
for a major father-son bonding session.

Another Hotel Room: Amanda and Alex bare their claws and continue their
sparring. They hear a knock at the door. Cut to Philip outside a room,
but when Alex answers the door Philip isn't there.

Cedars: More boring Annie/Michelle arguing.

Another Hotel Room: Lucy offers an extremely naive toast to her old and
new family. Amanda looks truly awful--her chest looks like it's about to
explode. Enter Buzz who claims he's speechless at Lucy, but we hear a
rather lengthy sappy speech about her beauty.

Cedars: Ross tells Ed he thinks Blake is holding something back from him.
(Duhhh)

Another Cedars Room: Blake is preparing to go as Annie enters. Blake says
after she know s the results of the CVS she will tell Ross for sure, but
she's worried if the twins are Rick's that Ross won't understand.

Orlando Hotel Hallway: Marcus is lurking in the hallway. He finds a note
attached to a package, intercepts the note and leaves.

Nighttime Finale at Universal Studios: A white limo arrives bearing Lucy,
her train, and Buzz. She exits the limo to applause from the adoring
throngs waiting at the gates. Frankenstein lurks nearby. They parade
through the gates and up to the entrance of Pantage's Theater, where the
marquee reads "Happily Ever After Alan-Michael and Lucy". Loud background
music as the freeze frame outlines AM and Lucy facing each other
superimposed over the theater marquee.
