EXTERIOR SHOT OF "SPAULDING ENTERPRISES" - CUT TO INTERIOR

People are arriving for the board meeting as Alan Michael practices his
speech. Suddenly Lucy (sporting a slick 'do a la Gordon Gecko in Wall
Street) corners AM and tells him that there is something *REALLY*
important that she needs to talk to him about *NOW*. He tells her that it
will have to wait until after the meeting and she says "No, after the
meeting is going to be too late...trust me!" He tells her not to lose it
and to remain calm and she walks away with a look of concern on her face.
Meanwhile, Alan & AM greet the board members and one comments that he
can't wait to see the financial reports. Tangie enters and Alan greets
her warmly. Alex tells Tangie that the meeting is private and that she'll
have to leave. Alan tells Alex that he invited Tangie. Lucy sits down at
her computer and stares at the screen. She looks distressed.

LEWIS OIL

Sean walks in as Dinah is thumbing through some cash. Dinah says that she
needed to buy coffee supplies and then comments "New money (sniffs the
$$) don't you just love it?" Sean smirks and says yes...the look, the
feel...but that he likes all kinds of money...even the crumpled up stuff
just as long as there's lots of it! He adds that that's the reason he's
here-to see Van about a business investment. (He wants to buy a used car
lot just off 5th street.) Dinah thinks that just going in and asking for
money is too blatant and offers to arrange a dinner party to help further
his cause. Van walks in and Dinah tells her that she wants to have a
dinner party for the families of the bride & groom before Sean leaves
town. Van looks stunned.

COMPANY

Reva/Rebecca watches Annie walk into Company from a distance. Inside,
Bridgette and Kirk (aka Skunk) are talking at a table. Jet tells Kirk
that Peter is really important to her and that there's room in her life
for both of them. Kirk makes some sarcastic comments about getting the
kid a helmet and leather jacket and strapping him to the back of his bike
and taking him to Mississippi with them. Jet looks distraught.

COMPANY'S PORCH

Peter (aka Pugsley) is playing and having a snack by himself. He plays
with his hair, looks at whoever is coaching him off camera, smiles, and
goes down the steps. (STOP HIM, REVA! STOP HIM!)

BACK INSIDE COMPANY

Nick is trying to convince Fletch that Roger is faking his condition to
try to manipulate Holly. Fletch wonders what sort of person would do such
a thing.

TODAY THE ROLE OF ROGER THORPE IS BEING PLAYED BY JOEL FABIANI

Back at Holly's place the kind voice-over lets us know that *THIS* is no
ordinary Roger! However, I'm convinced that Joel Fabiani is just a stage
name for Soupy Sales! A doctor examines FauxRog and says that they
can't force him to go to the hospital but that he needs to be watched.
Soupy whines that if they put him back in the hospital "I'll leave...I'll
hide out! Don't let them drag me away from Holly." Blake looks upset and
Holly rolls her eyes at Ross.

ROLL OPENING SEQUENCE!!

COMPANY

Skunky Kirk has a pile o' sarcasm for Jet and points out that not only is
she responsible for Pugsley but that she has the Boarding House and
Company to run. She tells him to cut the sarcasm and that she thinks she
deserves another chance. He asks her why he should deal with the hassle
and she sneers "Because I'm worth it." (You go girl! But is *HE*?) David
looks on from the bar with an expression of concern on his face. (Keep an
eye out all you who entered Jet & David in the Summer Romance Contest!!)

AT ANOTHER TABLE...

Fletch argues w/ Nick that Rog certainly isn't faking his injuries and
wonders why he would fake the accident. Nick points out that Rog is right
where he wants to be, back in Holly's house with her nursing him. Fletch
gets testy and says that she's not nursing him. "She doesn't want to
nurse him. I won't *LET* her nurse him!" Nick gives him a "yeah,
whatever" nod.

REVA BEND

Blake assures the Dr. that someone will be w/ Mr. Thorpe at all times and
sees him out. Ross and Holly follow her out to the porch where Holly
announces that Rog nees to be in the hospital. Blake says that if he
refuses to go they can't force him and Holly says that they need to hire
a private nurse because she can't give him what he needs. Blake insists
that all he needs is Holly - that's why he collapsed at her door. Blake
asks Holly if she's going to let strangers take care of him when he
thinks he's engaged to her. Holly says that the engagement is a dillusion
that is going to be corrected. Blake asks how she can be so cruel. Holly
says "Cruel?! I've taken him into my house, I'm taking care of him. I'm *NOT*
going to let him take over my life!" Blake argues that it's just for a little
while that "Daddy" is going to be better soon. Holly says that a little while
turns into a lifetime and that she's been down that road before. Blake
argues that this isn't like before because "Daddy" is hurt. (Excuse me,
Blake, babe, you're what, 30? Dontcha' think it's about time to stop
calling the old man "Daddy?" Jeez, you called him "Roger" as a kid. Ed
was the one you called "Daddy." Making up for lost time?) Holly shouts
"what do you want from me? Do you want me to pretend it's five months ago
and that we're engaged?" Ballsy Blake stoops to a new low and says "It
wouldn't kill you would it? To *FAKE* like you care for Daddy for just a
*LITTLE* while?" Holliamwomanhearmeroar says "You know, I'm not letting
anyone manipulate me anymore and that includes you. You want me to
pretend I'm still in love with him because that's what you go to bed
dreaming about every night? Well it ain't gonna' happen!" "Just two lousy
weeks!" says Blake. "NO! I'm going to work!" shouts Holly. Ross argues
that Holly can't leave Blake w/ the entire load and Holly says "I told
her we need a nurse. She refuses. That's her choice." Ross tells Blake
that she can't handle this by herself - she's already exhausted. Blake
pouts "Alright! Fine! I'm not gonna' fight both of you! I'll get a nurse
but I'm not going to forget this!!" Faux Roger moans "Holly...please."
Holly pats him on the shoulder and says "Don't worry Roger, you're gonna'
be alright!" and scurries into the bedroom.

SPAULDING ENTERPRISES 90210

Alan explains to Alex that Tangie will be covering the meeting to help
ground her in covering business meetings. Tangie says it should be very
educational and Alex quips "Of that I have no doubt." and leaves the
pair. Alan says not to take it personally and offers to show her the
board room Tangie says "Actually, Alan Michael has already shown it to me."
(when he was entering a new member into member into my inner circle.) AM
comes over and greets them indicating to Tangie that he hopes her slant
is a little more favorable in this article than the last she did on
Spaulding. Tangie says that she's not actually writing an expose but is
there to see AM in action. AM tells her she's in for a treat and calls
the meeting to order. In the next room, Lucy puzzles over a computer
screen muttering "What's going on here? They're all screwed up." Speaking of
screwed up, Brent lingers, unseen, in the hallway.

LEWIS OIL

Van enters her office with her hand on her head sighing: "A
dinner party?!?" Dinah follows her in acting all hyped about a family
gathering between the Reardons, Lewises and Chamberlains. She says it
will be a "kick" and suggests having it at the Country Club. Making sure
to hit on Vanessa's every weakness Dinah adds that "Graunpair" (my spelling
of french matches her pronunciation-both are bad, I'm sure!) would enjoy
a dinner party w/ the beloved Reardons. Dinah offers to do all the
arranging and Van relents. Dinah says that they should do it tonight
because Sean will be leaving soon. Vanessa leaves and Dinah and Sean (who
wins the coveted "Rick Bauer award" for strangest eyebrows on daytime TV)
scheme about his project and how to get the money from Mummy. They agree
that Dinah will help him get the money for a "nice big finder's fee."

SPAULDING ENTERPRISES

AM is pontificating to the board (and you thought Eve needed life
support) about the great direction that Spaulding is headed in. One old
bag pipes up about AM not "minding the store" and his frequent
absences from the office. She complains that she called several times
over then past two weeks and never had her calls returned. Alan asks to
address than question and gives a big speech about how AM's a great
businessman who is minding the store whether he's there or not and that
sometimes personal obligations take precident over business. Alan reminds
the old bird, Victoria, not to forget what it's like to be young and
vigorous and take risks. All the old foagies nod and recall the good old
days. Alan says that AM has seized opportunities and taken risks that
breathe life into the stoggy old company and attract investors. He says
that the company is more successful today because of Alan Michael Spaulding.

HOLLY'S HOSPITAL HEADQUARTERS

Faux Rog is reading the paper about the Spaulding Board meeting and
questions Blake about AM being President. He thinks Nick still has the
job. Blake brushes off his questions with a quick "There've been some
changes." and goes about trying to hire an RN. Apparently no nurses are
available from RENT-A-NURSE, NURSES-R-US, MERRY MEDS, or any of the other
places she's been calling for another 2 months. She tells Holly and Ross
says "well, honey, we can go home." and starts to lead Blake out the
door. Holly says that she can't stay because she has to go to work and
Ross points out that Blake's tired having been on her feet (sit down!)
for the past 24 hours. He wishes Holly luck and they head out the door.
Holly sighs and Soupy Rog blubbers about Holly being so cold to him and
wants to know what's wrong and if he's done something wrong.

COMPANY'S COMFY FRONT PORCH

Annie and "Rebecca" are chatting over coffee and Annie comments on how
glad she is that they keep running into each other. She compliments Reva
on her gawdy outfit. (Red lace turtleneck under a red jacket w/ white
piping and white slacks.) Reva thanks her in a voice that you may have
heard a totally stressed-out nursery school teacher use at the end of the
day after having a triple cappucino with extra sugar - saccarine sweet
and very high pitched. Annie comments that she and "Rebecca" seem to have
hit it off right away. Reva says that they're real "SOUL sisters"
(Bah-dum-bump!) Reva asks how Dr. Bauer is doing and talks about how
after we die our "spirit and essence" is ALWAYS around. She then asks
Annie what's going on between she and Joshua Lewis. Annie thinks it's
funny that "Rebecca" should call him Joshua since everyone she knows
calls him Josh. R covers by saying that her family has a lot of Biblical
names and that they generally call people by their full name. R asks
what's up w/ she and "Josh." Annie says that sometimes things are great
and sometimes they are weird but that lately things have been pretty
turbulent. Josh's car pulls up and R splits over Annie's protests. R says
"I gotta' hustle-oh god, I like that song!" (ROTFL!!!!!) She goes into
Company as Josh enters. Josh asks Annie to dinner and Annie makes
excuses. Josh says that they can hash things out right here and says he's
been thinking about what she said at Cross Creek about choosing between a
flesh & blood woman or a ghost and says he wants the real thing-HER.

REVA BEND

Holly tells Soupy that the last thing she wants to do is upset him and
then offers him painkillers (HA!) FauxRog says "I'm not worried about
the pain, I'm worried about us." (Same thing.) He asks why she's being
so distant. She plops down on the couch near him and say "There, I'm not
so distant am I?" Holly says she really doesn't want to say anything to
upset him and Soupy says he can't be upset as long as she loves him.
Holly says that that's what she has to talk to him about. "Look Soupy,"
she says, "I love Michael Zazlow, not you. He's the only Roger for me."
(Oooops, sorry!) Holly says that she has to tell FauxRog something and he
interrupts saying "Holly, you're worried that the accident is going to
delay our honeymoon! Oh Holly, nothing is going to spoil the plans I've
made. I was going to save this as a surprise for Christmas but I've
booked us a world cruise for our Honeymoon...doesn't that sound
romantic?" Holly says it does but asks Rog to look outside...it's not
Christmas, it's springtime. FauxRog asks what happened and Holly says
"Well, it's May for one thing, and another thing, we're not together
anymore, we split up." When he asks why Holly explains that it's because
they had problems that they couldn't overcome and tries to remind him of
the night of Pugsley's Birthday Party and the accident. She said that she
was afraid that he might do something drastic by the way he was acting
and how upset he was w/ her. He says that he would never do anything that
would cause him to leave her. He says he can't understand why he was
acting crazy because the last thing he remembers is getting the dinner
and ring ready for their engagement night. FauxRog says he isn't clear
about anything that happened the night of the accident but that the one
thing he is clear about is that she loves him. "You love me Holly, that's
why you're here. You love me."

SITTIN' ON THE STEPS AT COMPANY

Annie and Josh are talking as folks are trying to go up and down the
stairs but they just won't get out of the way. (Hasn't anyone noticed poor
Pugsley running around by himself yet?) Annie asks Josh if he's sure
about choosing her over Reva. He says yes and that he's not crazy. She
says she was starting to wonder. He thanks her for coming to Cross Creek
and promises to reimburse her expenses from the trip. He jokes that she
really told Reva off and she asks if R reappeared after she left. He
admits that she did and that he doesn't understand what happened. Annie
asks him to promise never to use the word "ghost" again.

COMPANY

David tells Jet that the beer distributor is on the phone and needs to
talk to her. She says that's a bunch of bunk she can't talk about how
much has been drunk because she has to deal with that punk Skunk's funk.
David tells them "she'll get back to you." Kirk says that the place can't
survive w/o her and she can't survive w/o it. She says it can and David
butts in that Jet makes all the decisions and oversees everything. He
says she never takes a day off. Kirk says "Just like I was sayin'" and
Jet shoots daggers at David and asks him to watch the bar. Kirk starts to
take off and asks Jet about their road trip. She says she's going to "get
a life for once" and go but needs a few days to work it out. Van walks in
to pick up Pugsley and Jet suddenly remembers that she *DOES* have a life
and that she's been totally ignoring her son while fending off insults
from Kirk. She starts screaming "OH MY GOD-PETER!" and looking all over
for him. Van wants to know what's wrong and where he is. They both run
out the front door screaming "PETER!" as we hear brakes squeal...

(Sorry folks, I have a son a month younger than Pugsley is supposed to be
and he can open all the doors...I can't keep him out of earshot ever and
even though I've watched this scene 4 times now I still have goosebumps
from head to toe whenever I see it!)

When we return from commercial Matt is carrying an unharmed Pugsley in as
a frantic Van asks how this happened. Matt says that it was his fault
because he was supposed to be watching him while Jet dealt w/ a problem
at Company. Matt says he was on the phone and when he turned around Pug
was gone. Jet starts crying and says it's her fault, she should have been
watching him. Van says it's okay and takes Peter. Van says that they
all need to be a little more careful and Jet thanks her for being
understanding.(Hey, the kid's two, how about telling him that playing in the
street is a no-no?) Van fills them in on the dinner party Dinah has
planned and Matt says he won't go. Van says she's not nuts about the idea
herself but that it's important to Dinah so they should go. Matt agrees
to and Pugsley and Van leave. Matt asks Jet what the hell happened. The
driver of the car comes to see if the little boy is okay...SURPRISE...it's
Dinah's arch-nemesis, Viktor! Matt tells him he's fine and thanks him for
reacting so quickly and for stopping. In a creepy voice Vik says he just
wanted to make sure the boy was alright.

LEWIS OIL

Dinah's on the phone w/ the matre 'd at the CC instructing him to spare
no expense and to charge it to her mother's account.

SPAULDING

It's halftime at the board meeting and all the board members are drinking
water and emptying their colostomy bags when Lucy corners AM and tells
him that the financial reports are all messed up. AM says that they'll
look at it after the meeting. Alex, Alan & Tangie are standing on the
other side of the room and Alan explains that the rest of the meeting is
mostly financial stuff and will get pretty boring. Alex gets in a few
snipes and Tangie leaves. Alex wonders what the deal is with Alan's
cheerleading so hard for AM. Alan walks over to AM and tells him that he
may have to change his strategy for the rest of the meeting and not be
such a strong advocate. He doesn't want it to look like he's loading the
dice in AM's favor. AM replies "No, we wouldn't want to give that
impression, would we?" Alan professes that he supports AM 100% "You do
believe that, don't you son?" AM says he's not sure what to believe and
that they should keep it on a business level. They go back into the
conference room and AM calls the meeting to order. A board member called
"Glen" (the same one who said he couldn't wait to see the financial
report when he walked in) stands up and says it's been brought to his
attention that the financial report is inaccurate and that they have been
deliberately misled by AM into thinking that Spaulding is making a ton of
$$ when they are actually in the red. He says that AM has been burrying
the real figures which show severe losses. Glen demands AM's immediate
resignation saying that the report AM gave them is "nothing but lies."
Chaos ensues and Lucy comes in saying that she has proof that the
financial report that the board was given has been sabotaged. Alan tells her
to leave but AM says that he's been accused of something that could be
considered a felony and if his assistant can prove his innocence that he
deserves a chance to clear his name. Alan then starts a big spiel about
how he knew that AM was wrongly accused, that nobody's worked harder or
more diligently for Spaulding than AM and suggests hiring an independent
auditor to come in and go over the books. Glen argues that they don't
need outsiders he has the proof in the financial report. Alan says that
they all know the numbers can be rigged and Glen says that AM has shown
that to be true. Alan says that he's not supporting Am because he's his
son but because he's a "damn fine" President and says if the charges are
true he'll be the first to ask for his resignation. (No, you'll be the
second, Glen already did!) Alan says that they can't condem AM based on
numbers that may have been doctored. The board votes to have an
independent auditor come in and that Alan be put in charge and AM barred
from the building during the investigation. ***Be aware, that during ALL
the Spaulding scenes the camera focuses a lot on Alexandra. You know
she's taking it all in and not missing a THING that's going on!***

REVA BEND

Tangie is nursing FauxRog (Lilly Grimaldi should take some pointers from
her!) who is talking about how screwed up things are w/ he and Holly.
Soupy says he wishes he'd died in the crash because Holly doesn't even
want to look at him anymore. He says Holly is his whole life and that he
has nothing without her. (He's obviously also forgotten his daughter and
grandson.) Tangie tries her best to cheer him up and says she's sure that
he & Holly can work things out. Holly comes in and instead of saying "you
mind staying w/ Rog for a few hours so I can get to the office" she says
"Sorry to cut the visit short, Tangie, but Roger needs his rest." Tangie
promises to come by the next day and walks out onto the porch where
Fletcher is. Fletch comments that Rog must be quite a story because half
of his staff is here. He asks Holly if she gets a dinner break and she
explains that she's stuck because Blake couldn't get a nurse. Fletch says
his worst nightmare has come home to roost there and that Nick was right
about his suspicions about the "convenient" crash. Holly says Rog has
broken bones and is coughing up blood and asks Fletch if he has any proof
to back up the accusation. Fletch says "Not Yet." and leaves.

SPAULDING

Alan & Alex are seeing the board members out and Alan promises to have
everything all cleared up soon. He assures them that everything is running
smoothly and Alex says "it certainly is, now that you're back in charge."
Alex goes to see board member "Janine" out and Glen asks Alan "What the
hell was going on with that secretary?!? I thought our plan was foolproof!"
Alan says he'll be in touch and Glen leaves. Brent walks in and asks Alan
how it went Alan berates Brent for leaving footprints and says Lucy has a
backup file that could sink them. Brent says Lucy & AM can't prove a
thing and Alan threatens "you better hope not!"

THE SPAULDING BOARD ROOM

AM tells Lucy it'll be a while before he sees this room again. Lucy tries
to convince him he'll be back soon but AM's not so confident. He wonders
who could have done this to him - neither his dad nor Brent had the
access codes. Lucy says someone had to have them and AM says he'll find
out who did this and when he does they're going to tell him why.

BOARDING HOUSE

Jet thanks Matt for covering for her with Vanessa (yet again.) Matt wants
to know why she wasn't watching Pugsley and she makes up a story about an
crisis at Company. Kirk comes in & asks what happened because they were in
the middle of something. Matt looks at Jet and says "Oh. Crisis, hey
Bridge?" and walks away.

LEWIS OIL

Viktor walks in and startles Dinah. He threatens her about the money and
she says she's trying, that she stole it from the ball for him but the
police took it which is out of her control. She says she's still working
on it but threats won't help because if he does anything to her he won't get
any money. He gives her 24 hours to come up with the money before he
starts working on her family. Viktor mentions how he almost flattened her
little step brother earlier in the day and says that Pugsley may not be
so lucky next time.

COMPANY'S STEPS

Josh begs Annie to go to dinner with him and she relents. They say that
they miss seeing each other. She says she believes that he really cares
about her but thinks that because of what happened at Cross Creek that he
needs to see a therapist. Josh laughs and tells her "you're sweet. I'll
see you tonight."

COMPANY

Nick & Fletch both agree that Rog staged the accident but have no proof.
Nick says that it's working too because Rog is at Holly's and she's waiting on
him. Nick asks if Fletch is going to let Rog get away with it or if he's
going to fight back.

REVA BEND

FauxRog is asleep on Holly's couch.

COMPANY

Ross & Blake are talking about Ed & Eve and what Ed's going through. Ross
says he's been thinking about what he'd be like if he lost Blake and she
tells him not to think about that. Blake says "we're so lucky." Ross
agrees that they only have small problems and Blake says that Dinah is
the only problem that they have but she's not so small. Ross says "Life
is so precious," and chuckles. Blake says "What?" and Ross says "Let's
have a baby!"

THAT'S ALL FOLKS!
