[C]:
---
   Company's boarding house kitchen area.
Short story: after suggesting a motorcycle trip along the Mississippi
(an idea to which Bridget seems unusually receptive - must be drug
after-effects (exactly what _did_ she consume at that mini-rave??),
Skunk finds out that Peter is Jet's baby and not Maggie's, and storms
out (basically, because of her initial lie).
Moreover, Matt is pissed at his sister because of her lie to Vanessa
(in clearing up time for the trip, Jet asks Nessa to take Pete for a few
days - so she can "catch-up on Company finanical books", etc.).
Not a stellar day for the Jet-ster.

[B]:
---

Eve is brought home by Ed, and esconsed in their bedroom.
Rick storms in in short order, ballistic that (1) she's home from the
hospital without his approval ("...she's MY patient, dad!...") and (2)
Ed _appears_ to be willing to let her continue her experimental
protocol.
Rickie transports to Company for a beer, where he runs into Nick,
who's chowing down in earnest. Rick complains/backhand compliments Eve's
stubborness, and informs Nick his main gripe is that her condition is
deteriorating, yet she refuses to go forward with a bone marrow
transplant --- which, in Rick's professional opinion, is her only chance
for survival.

[Much later, a man dressed like a Vegas lounge lizard arrives
in Company, and is seated and given a menu by Maggie.
Could this be Mr. Reardon himself?? Matt and Jet's dad?? Showtime!]

Meanwhile, back at the ranch, Eve pulls out the stops in an attempt
to persuade Ed not to intervene in her self-treatment. She lays out the
credentials of her email collaborator, Dr. Peters: ...obtained grants at
Sloane-Kettering and did research for the Centers for Disease Control,
etc. - a top dog in the field of chemical warfare-induced leukemia and
related areas.

In a surprise move, Ed makes an out-of-town trip to see Randall
Peters in person. Turns out SHE'S an old med school chum of his (top GPA
in the class, to-boot...).
(As email from Eve arrives simultaneously) Peters informs Ed that she
received FDA approval to run clinical studies on humans (so the legal
questions have been resolved), and additionally, Eve is a brilliant
researcher in her own right: even if their combined research doesn't
save Eve, it will likely prove valuable for hundreds of others.
Eve needs a victory, and Randall pleads with Ed to let them proceed
along their chosen course of action.

Lucy assumes her normal desk-position just outside AM's office, and
is almost immediately confronted by Brent. In his best "SnakeBoy" mode
(and grabing her shoulders), he attempts to get her to recant her rape
story/charges. Fed up and ready to jump south, Lucy reverses position,
and demands Brent admit he raped her [! - "...say it, say it, SAY
IT!!!..."]. Before things can turn truly ugly, AM arrives from the
wings, and backs Brent into the elevator and out of Dodge (Alan-M
obviously wanted to clean the guy's clock, but is putting a hold on
overt violence for Lucy's sake).

[A4]:
----

Nadine and Carrol's "Company" lunch date is broken up by Buzz, who
(having been updated by AM) relays the news of Lucy's rape to his ex.
One thing is agreed upon: Frank is NOT to be told about the attack on
his sister...
[Caroll later pulls a snit-fit on the outside steps, because
Nadine is treating him like an outsider as regards family
troubles instead of letting him truly become a part of her
life. He wants to be at Nadine's "center", and delivers a
pseudo-ultimatum to the Deen-ster: all or nothing at all. ]

[A2]:

Lucy heads to the police station to file a formal charge against
Brent. She's met by a neanderthal-like desk sergeant, who assumes she's
there to report a car theft (Lucy is also briefly hassled by a "biker-
esque, bald thug in handcuffs, who assumes she's a hooker [!]).
A request to talk to a female officer is met with a terse "Look
around you - you see any female officers here??!".
Fortunately, Tangie (there with Nick; covering a drug bust story)
spots Lucy's situation, and escorts her to Levy, who calls in a sex
crimes detective (female - Det. Ramos).
[Buzz arrives for support and waits for his daughter in the main room.]

In an inner office, Ramos elicits details of events leading up to the
rape from a distraught Lucy ("...I know I did everything wrong (after
the fact)...but it's still rape. Isn't it??!...").
Through the room's window, Brent can be seen being dragged in for
questioning by several officers. Buzz spots him, instantly goes
_completely_ ballistic, and has to be restrained. (Lucy's back is to the
action, and she does not observe the chaos).
Short story: there was no evidence collected after the attack, Lucy
told no one...so, at this point, it's simply her word against his. The
state declines prosecution.
AM shows up to lend additional support.
Lucy makes her dad promise not to go upside Brent's head. Buzz
promises not to do anything that would upset her. Hmmmm.

[Sidebar: Alan, who has recently been sniffing around Tangie again
like a poontang hound in heat, arrives to see if she wants to keep
their dinner date. She does, and they exit for a night on the town.]

Post-release, Brent calmly walks over for a cup of the station's
coffee. Levy strolls by, and in an atypical soft voice, warns Brent to
"watch his back...". [Woo!!!]
Brent nonetheless revels in his "officially innocent" status [!].

[A3]:
----

At Spaulding Enterprises, Brent sneaks up to Lucy's computer and
accesses some information (or destroys some - can't tell which) ---
unaware Buzz is lurking behind the door of AM's office!
In short order, Brent takes his act to the elevator and a lizard-like
exit.
Buzz decloaks, and calmly walks toward Brent, who is frozen inside
the elevator like a deer caught in a Vietnam vet's "head" lights.
The automatic panels slowly close and Buzz, sporting a maniacal
expression, makes no attempt to block the elevator door with his hands
or feet.
   Interesting.
Bear in mind that (1) Brent is packing a gun (2) Buzz might have set
a trap (3) cliffhangers have a tendancy to alter slightly the next
episode, so Buzz may very well stop the door from closing on Thursday
(5/18/95).
Whatever. Rest assured that Brent is going to get his ass kicked and
then some. And more than likely, by a Cooper.

I'm throughly enjoying the Metaphysical Reva storyline.
I didn't start watching GL until a month before Reva's "plunge into
the waters", and so missed Zimmer's famed scenery-chewing. :)
Her facial expressions and ploys are hilarious; Josh and Reva remind
me of an intellectual version of Ricky & Lucy Ricarrdo.
My hope is that Zimmer stays aboard.
Her non-corporeal status can be resolved in a number of interesting
ways. Before I disclose my favorites, any ideas at-large? :)
