The Burning Bed or My Two Dads

CEDAR'S HOSPITAL
DOCTOR'S Lounge:
Rick is remembering his last conversation with Blake. Annie comes in and
asks Rick if he has her schedule for next week. Rick snaps at her asking her
what is so important it can't wait a minute. Annie wants to know what his
problem is.

Dr. Sedwick's Office:
Blake storms into the office obviously distraught. Dr. S says Blake can tell
her anything. Blake asks if twins can have two different fathers.

THORPE PENTHOUSE:

Hart is on the phone with Leo pretending he is Roger. Leo says he has the
phony books. Hart replies "yah-uh huh". Leo asks if that is all he can say
then adds that Rog can dump Dinah in 48 hours. All he has to do is sign off
on the phony books that are based on foreign copper futures. They hang up and
Hart says his Dad just made a fatal mistake.

FARM:
Roger and Dinah are in bed. Roger says it was just like the first time they
made love there. He has finally erased Hart from Dinah's memory then asks
Dinah if she'll ever remember any other man in that room but him. Dinah says
"No, I'll never be able to forget this."

**Roll Lighthouse**

Dinah is still in bed and Roger is getting dressed. Roger says he has to get
to the station and kisses Dinah goodbye. Dinah wipes his kiss from her lips,
gets out of bed and lights a cigarette. She stands by the bed and drops her
lit cigarette and stares while the sheets begin to burn.

DOCTOR'S LOUNGE:

Annie pumps Rick to find out what's bothering him. She even goes so far as
to say that she doesn't want to get personal but if he brings his problem
into the hospital then it's her business. Rick says he doesn't want a
lecture.

DR. SEDWICK'S OFFICE:

Dr. Sedwick says that it is extremely rare for twins to have two fathers even
if intercourse has been with two different men within a couple of days.
Blake confesses that there was another man then asks about the CVS test. Dr.
Sedwick says there is a good chance the babies are Ross' and suggests that
Blake wait until the babies are born to run paternity tests. Blake agrees,
leaves the office and bumps into Rick in the hallway.

ED'S OFFICE:

Ross comes in bearing two chocolate cigars for Ed. Ross says he has always
been envious of Ed and his family. Ross goes on and on about how he is
looking forward to breaking in baseball gloves then tells Ed when the babies
were conceived. Ed is in shock. Ross wants to know why Ed isn't happy for
him.

Meanwhile, in the hallway Blake tells Rick to leave her alone (Annie is
eavesdropping). Blake goes on to say that Rick is never going to tell her
what to do again. Rick wants to know the truth but says they will talk later
and leaves. Annie goes to Blake and asks what's going on. Blake breaks down
and cries on Annie's shoulder.

PENTHOUSE:

Hart hides a scarf under Roger's pillow then hears Roger coming so he runs
out onto the terrace. Roger comes in and immediately smells Laura's perfume,
then exits to the terrace...cut to Dinah watching the bed burn.

Roger comes in from the terrace and the maid let's Leo in. Roger asks Leo if
he smells anything. Leo humors Roger and says, "Car exhaust, stale coffee,
and perfume he describes at sweet and something Dinah would wear". Roger is
still disturbed by the perfume because it isn't what Dinah wears.

Leo wants his bonus. Roger doesn't know what he's talking about. Leo says
they just spoke on the phone. Leo is getting worried about Rog and wants to
know if he's on medication or if Rog is just losing his mind.

CEDARS:

Annie wants to help Blake. Blake goes on about how one lousy night ruined
her life. Blake mentions that Annie's life has worked out like it's supposed
to so she could never understand. Annie says that even LOWHAD isn't
perfect. Blake slips and mentions Rick as being part of her lousy mistake.
Annie fesses up and says she already knew.

ED'S OFFICE:

Ed says it's wonderful news that it is just hard to imagine his little
Chrissy having twins. Rick comes in and Ross gives him a cigar. Rick
congratulates Ross and says to Ed that he is glad Brick finally worked over
their problems from years ago that involved Phillip. Ross leaves. Ed wants
to know from Rick if what he is afraid of is true.

FARM:

Hart sneaks in through the window and puts out the fire. Dinah breaks down
and Hart comforts her.

CEDARS:

Annie says she overheard Blake and Ed talking. Blake worries that someone
else might have overheard. She leaves but runs back in to avoid Ross. Blake
hides in an office while Annie gets rid of Ross giving him some lame excuse
about a surprise party for Josh. Blake tells Annie she's preggers.

ED'S OFFICE:

Rick fesses up to Ed that he could be the father of the child. Ed tells Rick
that Blake is having twins. Rick wonders how he got into this mess.

FARM:

Dinah is crying in Hart's arms and says she started the fire because she
wanted the bed to burn so she could forget what happened. Hart asks if they
made love. Dinah said it wasn't love, it was ownership. It wasn't rape
because she let him put his dirty hands all over her and now she's dirty.
Dinah said it was her choice. Hart's going to kill Roger because he won't
sit back and watch this happen. Dinah wants to know why he cares.

PENTHOUSE:

Roger signs the paper. Leo wants to know if Roger is having second thoughts
because he is in marital bliss. Roger says marital bliss is an oxymoron
going on to say Dinah was more trouble than she was worth, but she had her
perks. Rog especially enjoyed torturing Ross and Vanessa.

FARM:

Hart says he cares because he's human. They both agree that they have to get
even with Roger for what he did to their grandfathers. Hart tells Dinah
about Roger's plan to divorce her.

DR. SEDWICK'S OFFICE:

Ross wants to know if Blake is worrying too much and if there is anything
that he can do to help her. Dr. Sedwick advises Ross to talk to his wife.

Blake tells Annie about the twins and that Rick could be the daddy. Annie is
overwhelmed at the thought of Rick being a father.

*Commercial*

Annie asks Blake if she can deal with the uncertainty. Blake doesn't know.
She wants a sign to tell her what to do.

ED'S OFFICE:

Ed is being very supportive of Rick who asks what Ed thinks is the right
thing to do.

PENTHOUSE:

Rog and Leo have a lighthearted exchange and Leo leaves. Roger finds the
scarf hidden under his pillow.

FARM:

Dinah's new plan is going to be big and risky. Dinah says, "Think about
this. What if Roger isn't the one who gets killed?" - FREEZE FRAME
