BROUGHT TO YOU BY: Lucas' Beef Jerky: "We won't tell you what's in it, and
it's probably better that way."

MISSING CHILD CELEBRITY OF THE WEEK: Mindy Cohn--Natalie of "The Facts
of Life"

BODY COUNT FOR LUCAS' PSEUDOSCENES: Alan-Michael, Frank, Marah, Josh, Annie
(I think that's all of them. Frank and Marah have gotten it twice.)

And on with the update!

DINER
Frank tells Eleni that she has to make a decision regarding Dahlia
today. Eleni is too busy to worry about Dahlia. Frank says it's either them
or foster care. Eleni says she cares about Dahlia, but it's too much for
her to handle. Frank says it is really important to him.

HOLLYBEND
Blake walks Holly to the couch. Fletch wants Holly to let them take care of
her. Holly wonders how much more Baby Red is going to face once she is born.
In the kitchen, Blake puts her hands over her womb and sighs.

WSPR
Roger is talking to someone on the phone about the union situation. Gilly
comes in and sees that he's head about the union meeting this morning. Roger
demands to know where she's been. Gilly says that if he'd give her the chance,
she would tell him. She was at an emergency union meeting and luckily, she
covered for his absence. Roger: "I'm the owner of this station, why wasn't I
notified?" Gilly says that she put a memo in his box last night. Rog didn't
see any memo: "You are out of your mind." Gilly: "If anyone is out of their
minds, it's not me."

JESSUP FARM
Hart is reading a letter. Dinah comes in ranting about how clever she is. She
says that she set a plan in motion this morning at WSPR. She says Roger ought
to be very confused right about now. "What are you reading?" "Nothing." Dinah
wants to see. "I said LEAVE IT ALONE!"

Roll Lighthouse

WITH A HO-HO HERE AND A STUD-STUD THERE
Dinah doesn't want any secrets between them. Last night Hart found a box of
his mother's stuff in his attic. He thought he might find some stuff about
Roger's agency days. Dinah thinks that is a great idea. "Did you look for
stuff in the letters about Roger?" Yes and he's not going to look anymore. Why
not? Because he found stuff he's never seen before . . . about how much his
mother, Laura, loved Roger.

LIAR LIAR PANTS ON FIRE
"I didn't get a memo, because you never wrote me," Rog says. "I can't help it
if you didn't check your box," Gilly proclaims. "You are just lying to cover
your own negligence." Roger thinks Gilly ought to reassess her position as
station manager. "Funny you should mention that. I was thinking the same thing
myself." "What do you mean by that?" She has just about had it with Roger.
Roger says she is just being defensive because she messed up. Gilly says Roger
takes all the credit when things are going well, and blames Gilly when things
go wrong. "Why don't you just admit you lied about the memo and we'll forget
the whole thing?" "I'm not admitting to anything! I did not lie about
that memo!" She rummages through somepapers on the desk, finds the memo,
and shoves it in his face. He snatches it and stares up at her.

WHERE'S SISTER KATE WHEN YOU NEED HER?
Eleni says Frank always tries to do the right thing, but bringing Dahlia in
isn't right for anyone--especially Dahlia. Nadine would have done it, Frank
says. Eleni: "Do you really think we can shield someone Dahlia's age from the
truth that her mother is a hooker and a thief?" Tina thinks so, Frank says.
Eleni says there's no room in their lives for Dahlia. Frank thinks Marina
could learn that there's always room in their lives for someone who needs
them. Frank brings up the foster home again. "I can t do it, Frank! Please,
don't ask me." Frank leaves to tell Tina the bad news. Dahlia comes in and
asks Eleni if her mother has called yet. No. Dahlia can't wait to start her
new life wherever her mother's job takes them.

SAVED BY THE BELL: THE SPRINGFIELD YEARS
School has let out. J (No-Dot), Michelle, Bill, and their schoolmate Erin come
in the diner hootin' and hollerin'. No-Dot aced the physics test thanks to
Michelle's help. He spots Dahlia and turns on the--I think it's charm. Sodas
are on J for all science-haters. That doesn't include Dahlia. "I like
science." "Oh, say it's not true . . . you're too pretty." Michelle stands by
twiddling her thumbs. Erin lets it slip that she saw Tina on the news. "Never
mind." Dahlia wants to know what she's talking about...J too. Dahlia: "What
was the story about?" Eleni watches worriedly. Erin wants to drop it, but
No-Dot hates it when people bring things up and then drop it. Erin: "Well, the
woman who looked like your mother had just been arrested for armed robbery."
Zoom in on Dahlia.

COP SHOP
Tina tells Frank the plea bargain went well. She may only have to do 18 months.
Frank: "I talked this over with my wife. There's absolutely no way we can take
in Dahlia." Frank promises to make sure Dahlia is put in a good home. "I don't
want her to go with strangers," Tina pleads. "You have my word." "I had your
word, Frank! I did everything you said. And for what? Is this how you play,
Frank? Use the hooker to get the dirt on Roy? Dangle my daughter's life in
front of me? What am I supposed to do now that you suckered me in?" Frank and
Eleni just can't make it work. Tina thinks Frank thinks it's all her fault
anyway. "There's always another way. You could have come to me." "I did! And
look where it got me. Just forget I ever asked. Do I at least get a chance to
break my daughter's heart?...Or do you want to do it?" Frank says he's
arranged for her to talk to Dahlia away from the station. "Let's go get this
over with."

HOW CONVENIENT
Roger never got Laura's letters. Laura died in an explosion...hmmm. Hart gives
Dinah the letters after she guilts him about Roger's past being the best idea
so far.

INSERT CLEVER HEADER HERE
Dinah goes through the box. Hart thinks everything agency related is
probably encoded. Not all of it. Dinah finds enough info to start a
plan. Hart says it's dangerous. He takes the letters away to hide the
evidence. Hart says he is going to do outside research. He warns her
to be careful. "I always am."

FEE FIE FOE FUM I'M AS STUBBORN AS A DRUM
Roger says that Gilly somehow managed to coverup not writing the memo.
Gilly is about to lose it. Roger blames Gilly's incompetence for his
poor reputation as a reputable businessman. "Reputation! Vlad the Impaler
has a better reputation than you!" "I have half a mind to fire you right
now," Roger threatens. "Let me save you the trouble! I QUIT!"

SOMEONE'S EARS ARE RINGING
Folly and Blake are playing Monopoly when Roger's name comes up. They
talked about Blake's mistaken parentage (Ed/Roger). Fletch doesn't
want to talk about the Dodger. Blake thinks Holly was just trying to
protect Roger. Holly wouldn't lie again. Blake can't believe it.
Holly says the truth is the way to go to avoid guilt. Blake accidentally
knocks the board. Holly asks if she's all right.

BECAUSE I'M YOUNG AND I'M HIP--SO BEAUTIFUL
Dahlia lunges at Erin. "You're a liar! My mother was not arrested."
She's interviewing...blah blah. Erin insists it looked like Tina.
Erin apologizes for starting anything. Dahlia, J, and Michelle all
turn on her calling her an evil gossip. Bill offers to give Erin
a ride home. "Good, you're the only one who doesn't seem to hate
me now." They leave. Marcus comes in and sees Dahlia upset talking
to J. Mom is great. Don't let it bother you. Tina comes in. "Mama!
I knew that stupid girl was wrong." Dahlia has a million questions.
"Are we going to leave soon?" Frank stares at Tina. Eleni
stares at Frank. I stare at the screen.

I'M GONNA BE A SUPER-MODEL
Tina's about to explain things to Dahlia when Eleni interrupts. "Tina,
I'm so glad you're here; we need to talk about Dahlia's schedule. It's
going to seem strange having a teenager around at first." Tina is confused.
Frank is happy. Dahlia's really confused. Eleni hugs Frank.

Michelle wants to study with J at her house, but he's not interested.
He only wants to pay attention to Dahlia.

Tina starts concocting a story about her being a traveling sales
representative for a big computer company. "I kept telling you
that you needed to learn computers." It may sound stupid, but
this came off as a truly realistic line. But anyway. Tina says
she'll have to travel all the time, straight through. For a year
or so. She's worked it out with Frank and Eleni for her to stay with them.
Dahlia can't stay anywhere without her mother. "What, you're just
going to take off and leave me behind?"

HOW TO BE A MILLIONAIRE
Blake is bathing in Monopoly money. Doorbell, It's Hart. Blake welcomes
him. Fletch feels threatened. Actually, he wants to talk to Holly.
Hart's been feeling guilty about hating Roger. Fletch: "Well, don't. You're
just the newest member of the oldest, fastest, largest club in Springfield."
But he's his father. Holly wants to know what Roger is up to now. Hart
wants info from Holly. Fletch flips out and throws Hart, literally, out.

TAKE THIS JOB AND SHOVE IT
"That's it, Roger. There's no working with you Roger." "Not, with me, FOR
me. You work FOR me." "Not anymore. Not one more day and don't you
bother to try to talk me out of it." "Who says I'd want to?"
"Of all the times I thought of walking out of here, but I stayed
thinking I could make some sort of difference around here. Now
I realize it's never gonna happen." "That's right. It's nevah gonna
happen." Gilly brings up Roger's ethics at WSPR and all the horrible
situations he's put her in. "It made me wonder if I could ever do
anything worth while." "You can't. You're not half the news woman
you fancy yourself to be. And I'll tell you why--because you don't
have what it takes." Gilly will place her resignation in his
inbox, and IF he finds it, they will both be very very happy. Dinah
comes in with a surprised look on her face. Gilly starts going off
on if Roger wasn't bad enough, she had to deal with Dinah's fiascos,
too. "Hey, you can insult me all you want but you leave her
out of it." Gilly storms out. Dinah wants to know what all that
was about. Rog does the rundown. Dinah can't believe how great
her plan turned out. Dinah says Rog amazes her. "What did I do this
time?" "The way you got Gilly to quit when you knew about the
meeting the whole time!" Rog is dumbfounded.

HOLLYBEND
Blake goes outside with Hart. Fletch whines about how Roger Thorpe
is everywhere. Hart wasn't trying to upset anyone. Blake went
through the same stage of trying to find good qualities in Roger.
Blake finally got it. Ross changed her. Blake warns him to not use
Roger's tactics to get back at him--like sleeping with Dinah. You
become like him. "I'm not him!" "I know you're not. Just forget him.
Hang on to the people who matter."

AND I WOULD KNOW YOU FROM...
Dinah: "The way you handled Gilly was masterful." "What are you talking
about?" "Getting Gilly to quit so that you wouldn't have to buy out
her contract. When we talked on the phone before lunch," Dinah relates
some story about cleverly ditching Gilly in time for the union uprising.
"I didn't know about that meeting." "Oh. Right. (Wink, wink) That's
the story? Okay." "I'm talling the truth about that meeting, I
really did not get that memo." Rog doesn't know how he could have
talked to Dinah on the phone about the meeting, when he didn't
even know it was happening. "But, Roger, honey, you did. This isn't
like you at all. Are you sure everything is all right?"

HIT THE ROAD JACK
Tina reasons with Dahlia. Dahlia thinks she should pass the job up.
Dahlia doens't want to hear anymore. "I'm not staying here without
you!" She runs out. Tina: "Dahlia!" J goes after her, but Frank stops
him. Marcus sneaks out after her.

TELL ME MAMA
Holly warns Hart that is doesn't matter why Roger is some angry,
just stay away from him. Hart worries about Dinah.

BRAIN FART
"I know I did not speak to you about this meeting!" "Okay, okay,
whatever you say. If you don't remember, you don't remember."
"That conversation did not take place!" "Okay. Why don't we
call it a day and go grab a fabulous early dinner?" "I can't
wait to get out of here." "Good, I'm starved. And then you
can tell me about Solomon." Roger's eyes light up. He grabs
Dinah's arms viciously. "WHERE DID YOU HEAR THAT NAME?!?!?"

Lucas' Alter-ego is on vacation this week, so the pseudoscenes
will return in 2 weeks.
