    FLETCHER'S ABODE

Fletch comes home from his trip to Portugal and tells Nick to kick him in 
the "keister" if he ever mentions the "r" word again <relationship>.

    DINER

Nadine leaves to sell tickets to the ball.  Alan-Michael comes in looking
for Lucy.  He tells Eleni it's because he wants to tell Lucy how he feels-- 
he wants her and not just in the office.

    BOARDINGHOUSE

Lucy and Bridget are picking out clothes for Lucy's date with Brent.  
Lucy says she's never going to think romantically about A-M again-- she 
means it this time.  Tonight she's going to go for it with Brent.

    FLETCHER'S

Fletch tells Nick about trying to find Ben's grandmother.  Julia wasn't in 
Portugal, she's in Monte Carlo, so he goes there.  She's not there, so he 
goes back to Portugal and finds out she's in London.  He flies there and 
she's not there either.  He flies back to Portugal and they tell him 
she's in New York City.  He flies there and he's told that she's in the 
country.  He rents a car and finally finds her.  She's happy to see him, 
but has no plans to take Ben.  Fletch finally figures out that it was 
Roger's con.  Nick tells him that Holly told him the same thing.  Nick 
wonders if Fletch is going to do anything about it.  Fletch isn't going 
to spend any more time on the creep.  He's not going to play their crazy 
games.  Nick tells him that it's not Holly's fault.  Fletch:  "A plague 
on both their houses.  I am through with Holly.  I am through with 
women."  

Mindy knocks, she wants to talk to Nick.

    COMPANY

Blake arrives looking for a room.  The new David asks her what's wrong.  
Blake tells him it's Dinah Marler.

    LEWIS OIL

Matt says goodbye to Vanessa and runs into Dinah as she comes in.  She 
tells Vanessa how wretched it is over at "Daddy's" and that Blake has 
left the house.  Vanessa wants her to move in with her, but Dinah wants 
to get to know her father.  She can't leave Daddy-- he needs her.  
Vanessa wants her to get to know her mother.  Dinah asks about her trust 
fund.  If she got the money she would stay and get to know her family.  
Vanessa thinks Dinah should get a job.

     COMPANY

Blake complains to David and Matt about Ross and Dinah.  She tells them 
that Dinah is in trouble with a collection agency.  David suggest getting 
her credit cards and they'll run them through the computer.  They ask Matt to 
do it, but he won't pick her pocket.  Nadine comes to Company and tries to 
sell tickets.

     BOARDINGHOUSE

Bridget wonders if Lucy is prepared.  Lucy picks up some condoms and starts 
talking about being a virgin.  Brent, outside her door with flowers, is 
listening.  Bridget asks Lucy if she's sure about this, she doesn't want 
Lucy to make the same mistake she did.  Lucy tells her it won't be a 
mistake with Brent.  She's over A-M.  She doesn't want to be a 40-year 
old virgin.  

Nadine knocks and gives Lucy Brent's flowers and asks if they want tickets.

Bridget tells Lucy she doesn't have to do anything she doesn't want to 
do, but Lucy is sure.  She doesn't feel pressure with Brent, but she did 
with A-M.

      DINER

A-M tells Eleni that he's afraid he's losing Lucy, he tried to fend off 
the feelings he has, but he wants her back.  Eleni wants him to stay away 
from Lucy, because she really likes Brent and she has made a choice to 
move on.  She could be falling in love with him.  A-M tells Eleni that he 
loves Lucy and he's going to tell her.

      COMPANY

Bridget doesn't have any empty rooms for Blake, but David asks her about 
Dylan's room.  She doesn't know why she's holding on to it and tells 
Blake she can have it.  David goes to get Dylan's stuff out of the room.  
Bridget asks Blake what happened to her.

     LEWIS OIL

Vanessa has planned a job for Dinah as her administrative assistant for 
$25,000 a year.  She can learn the oil business.  Dinah thinks she 
couldn't get by on that salary and doesn't understand why she has to beg 
for a handout.  Doesn't Vanessa give Matt money?  Matt overhears her 
snide comments, so he takes her wallet from her purse. <It's been left in 
the outer office.>  Vanessa tells Dinah that he's never asked for money.  
Dinah:  "Give him time."  Dinah will learn to live like a "low income 
shop girl"-- right where Vanessa wants her.  She wants to prove she's 
worthy, but none of Vanessa's other children have to go through this.  
Vanessa tells her that she is just trying to teach her to be responsible 
about money.  Dinah thinks Van is trying to keep her in her place.  Is 
she ashamed of her?   A mistake that wasn't supposed to be born?

      FLETCHER'S

Mindy wants to talk about divorce.  Nick wants to act like friends who 
didn't make a catastrophic error.  Ben comes home and says hello to his dad.

      LEWIS OIL

Vanessa tells Dinah that she thought she was doing the right thing for 
Dinah by giving her up for adoption.  She thought about her all the time 
and regretted her decision.  They hug.

      COMPANY

Brent picks up Lucy for their date.  

Matt brings Dinah's wallet.  David and Blake are surprised he did it.  
Matt tells them that Dinah went too far.

      LEWIS OIL

Dinah cries.  Vanessa tells Dinah she loves her and the decision about 
the trust fund is to protect her.  Vanessa asks what Dinah would like to 
do.  Dinah wants to work in an art gallery.  Vanessa thinks that's a 
great idea, but she needs to get an entry-level job.  Dinah agrees.  
Vanessa tells her it's best to earn money yourself, because if you take 
somebody's money it never works-- there always comes a time when they 
want it back, you have to pay the piper, sometimes it's not pleasant.

      FLETCHER'S

Mindy tries to leave because Nick is ignoring her.  He stops her, he's 
just trying to avoid talking about divorce.  Fletch & Ben leave the room.  
Mindy says she'll call a lawyer.  Nick already has the papers, they just need 
to sign it and send it through the legal system.  They both sign.

Nadine knocks and tries to sell tickets-- by playing up the romantic side 
of the ball, for the two of them.  She sees that it's the wrong time and 
leaves.

      CARNAVAL

Lucy is throwing darts and Brent tries to help her technique.  Then he 
stands behind her, and looks up and down her body.

      FLETCHER'S

Nick and Fletch talk about how to get over women.  Fletch:  "Block them 
out.  Keep very busy, fill your life with something.  Until you no longer 
notice they're not around."  

Knock on the door.  Ben comes into the kitchen and looks out the window, 
"It's Holly."

       DINER

Nadine comes back, she didn't sell any tickets.

       CARNAVAL

Lucy won a bunch of tickets and they trade some in for a decoder ring.  
Brent puts it on her finger and kisses her.  "Let's go to my place."  
Lucy says ok.

       COMPANY 
 
A-M is looking for Lucy, but Bridget tells him that she's on a date with 
Brent.  David pulls Dinah's credit cards through the machine.  Three say 
retain card, the 4th says call the police.  Blake:  "Dinah is dog meat."  
Dinah arrives and asks Blake if those are her credit cards.
