Guiding Light Update Wed March 18, 1998
By Patricia K. Lambert

A frantic and nervous Joshua waits for Michael to return after his shopping
spree to show him how fast "Reva" has grown. They are beginning to have
troubles containing her. She wants to be a regular child and doesn't
understand why she isn't. She throws a tantrum because she wants to go
outside and play like a normal child. Joshua and Michael finally give in
and Joshua takes her to the park to swing and play.

Cassie and Marah stop in the park on the way home from the mall to get a hot
dog and soda. They are sitting on the swings and Cassie notices how down
Marah is. Marah says she is worried about her mama and hopes she comes back
soon. Cassie tries to reassure her that Reva is fine. They get ready to
leave and bump into Joshua and "Reva". Cassie and Marah demand to know who
the girl is and why Joshua is out with her.

Ross is trying to comfort Holly is obviously upset about Fletch's running
off and taking Meg. He is trying to convince to get the police involved so
they can stop him from leaving the country. We find out that the day
before, Ben transferred out of his boarding school, so Holly is convinced
that Fletcher will never come back. Ross leaves Holly in the incapable
hands of Vanessa and Matt (no mention of Baby Mo). They turn their back to
fix her a cup of tea and Holly mumbles something about having to go find
Fletch and Meg.

After bumping her head in a fall, Michelle starts to regain some of her
sight. Just as she is cradling Jesse/Carlos' face in her hands and getting
all excited about regaining her sight, everything goes black. More of
Michelle's whining follows, after the cute Dr. Dan checks her out and tries
to reassure her that is a positive sign. Dru shows up at the school and
Jesse gets her to leave only by promising to tell her everything later.
Jesse is visibly shaken up after the episode with Michelle and her whining.

Blake finally agrees to give in to Ben's blackmail. Everything appears to be
going a long, then Ross calls to plead with Ben to issue a bench warrant for
Fletch. Ben says he'll see what he can do, and never lets on to Blake that
her husband was on the phone. They get back to it, and maybe, just maybe,
as Blake starts to get into things, Ben pulls back and says he won't do it
until she says that she wants him to make love to her. He tries to say that
it was her that stopped and that now she'll never get the tape that could
clear Abby. Blake storms out of his room ( leaving a piece of lingerie
behind, of course!) and bumps into Ross as he is getting off of the
elevator.

The End!!
