I sent this yesterday, but I still haven't seen it posted to the list. If
this is a duplicate, my apologies.

			GUIDING LIGHT UPDATE
			  TUESDAY, 3-18-97

Fire House: Buzz demands Jenna tell him if she's in love with Jeffrey.
She tries to be evasive, but finally admits her relationship with him isn't
just business.

Photography Class: Michelle sits and Jay stares.

Casa Bloss: Blake's readying the twins for a pediatric visit when Rick
arrives. She reports that she recently chatted on line with a Mrs. Murphy
(another single mother of twins) who is her new role model for managing her
life. She exits to get something, leaving Rick to answer the door to Ross.
Each father holds his respective progeny and the two snarl at each other
about burping techniques and the merits and demerits of DPT shots. When
Blake returns Ross yells at her for inviting Rick. She counters that she
felt it was best to include both of them.

Photo Class: The professor prattles on and on about F stops, light
apertures and the skin tones of the human body. Finally he makes Jay take
a light reading right in Michelle's face. At the professor's direction she
moves her white terry cloth bath robe off her shoulders and she and Jay
lock eyes uncomfortably.

The Park: Marcus and Dahlia are swinging (??? yes--on a swing set!). She
brings up the topic of sex and wonders if he thinks she's immature because
they haven't had sex yet. He reassures her that he does want her and
launches into a rambling and flowery speech about all the other women he
slept with who didn't mean anything to him. Of course he wants to sleep
with her and he wants it to be PERFECT, since it will seem like the first
time for him, now that he's in love. They swap spit.

Fire House: Yes, Jeffrey means something to Jenna, otherwise how could she
have spent two years living with him??? She attempts to qualify her
admission, but Buzz doesn't want any details. He wants to take Coop to the
park, but she stops him and they shout at each other about her lifestyle
and his jealousy. Buzz says she lies.

Pediatrician's Office: Blake asks nervous mother questions as both fathers
hold their sons and hover. Blake is squeamish about the shots; Rick and
Ross act very macho and insist their genes have come through to their macho
sons. The dueling fathers continue this absurd competition (somewhat like
male baboons jockeying for alpha position) until Rick is beeped for a
hospital emergency.

Cedars: Lillian confronts Abby about her decision to cut down on her hours
at the hospital, counseling her to stay on. Philip enters with the
emergency--a man from the Spaulding warehouse whose leg is broken. Enter
Dr. Rick, full of his usual hospital jargon. Abby has been comforting the
man, but when Rick asks her to get a hospital technician she leaves.

The Park: Marcus and Dahlia's conversation has moved on to some trivia
about a musical album. They each bet they're right and she goes off to the
record store to check out her facts.

Cedars: Rick thanks Abby for all her help. He also begs her not to cut
back her hours. She informs him she's decided to fix up her professional
as well as her personal life, by going to school to become a physician's
assistant. He's delighted; she says she doesn't need his help.

Pediatrician's Office: Blake and Ross are redressing the boys after the
exam. Ross grumbles about the buttons on Jason's outfit. Finally he
agrees to carry Kevin since he's heavier. Blake is touched, and somewhat
hopeful, but she says nothing. (For all his grumbling, Ross seems to be
softening some, although he takes great pains to steal himself against any
feelings for Blake.)

Photo Class: More photo snapping by all these ogling males. Class is
almost over, so the professor tells Michelle to take her robe completely
now. She hesitates and Jay stares, open mouthed.

Fire House: Jenna and Buzz continue snarling. She tells him it's his
fault she and Coop are there, since he's always rescuing her. Somewhere
along the line the argument changes in tone, until when Jenna finally tells
Buzz that they'll just have to put up with each other for the next 80 days
her chest is right in his face (she's standing, he's sitting) and the
tension is definitely more sexual than not. She exits to give Coop a bath.

The Park: Dahlia returns to brag about being right, but he's beat her to
the punch by holding up his end of the bargain--he has cut off his hair.
(He actually looks normal, for once.) She tells him that she loves him.

Photo Class: A redressed Michelle is ready to leave. Of course Jay is
still hanging around, packing up his equipment. She rambles on and on
about doing this for the experience (something he once told her she needed)
and claims she stopped disrobing because of him. She seems to be admitting
her feelings for him, but he's too dense to understand. She stomps off in
anger.

Outside Cedars Emergency Room: Philip and Abby chat as he makes a plea
that she forgive Rick. He admits he knew about the twins and wanted to
tell Ross, but couldn't after he saw how much Ross loved both boys. He
makes the point that there aren't any bad guys in this situation, just a
lot of confused people trying to do their best. Abby isn't buying.

Casa Bloss: Ross and Blake have returned home. She offers him coffee and
he seems to be softening as he says he has to tell her something.

Outside Cedars: Abby asks Philip if he expects her to forgive Rick? It
would be nice, since he loves you, he replies. She's softening, too, but
still not ready to forget. She exits, Rick enters, and vows to win her
back.

Casa Bloss: Ross says he has set up a meeting with their lawyers to work
out the terms of the divorce.

Fire House: Buzz (now alone) calls Frank to ask him to run a background
check on Jeffrey Morgan.
