   Two blocks from Ross' house.
Dinah and Roger are in the back of a limo. Seems they spent the night
in Chicago, "jazz club diving". :)
The DIne-ster is flirting big-time, trying to get Roger to kiss her
("...or aren't you as 'bad' as they say?...").
   Roger: "...you're more like me than you know;
not a good thing for a pretty young girl..."
ET definitely wants him to "pull up to the bumper", but Rog
steadfastly declines (doesn't want Ross to go ballistic, etc.). Blah,
blah, blah --- and Dinah guesses Holly must be the root cause of his
reluctance: "...what in the world did (she) do to you?!...".

Meanwhile, Ross is in the house, beside himself with worry over his
daughter's absence; Blake insists the disappearance is the result of
calculated manipulation. R is having none of that, and goes as far as to
suggest Blake and Dinah have a lot in common: "...(close in) age,
education, love of Europe and good food...". Blah, blah, blah;
more disagreement over the Dinah issue. Ross: "...women! What makes them
the way they are?!"
   Blake: "Men!"

Back in the limo, Dinah plucks an eyebrow from Roger, places it on
one of his fingertips, then pronounces: "Make a wish and blow it off."
[A bizarre (no doubt) "twisted wuss" ritual,
that would have made more sense had _Roger_
plucked one of his pubic hairs and...never mind....]
Before you can say "Shazam!", Dinah busts a move and locks lips with
the Dodger! Moments later she remarks "...our first kiss...", followed
by "Would you like me more if I had a lot of money?"
She wants to "leave 'Mayberry'" in the dust and take her 1/4 million
trust fund with her: (to Roger) "...and if you're lucky, I'll take you
with me...(!) ).
Roger gives advice on how to scam the bucks (and drops Blake's
original 1st name during the convo): get the "right" people on your
side; gather the troops. Read: "talk-up" Mindy, Henry and Josh (an
admittedly hard sell). Plant the seed of giving up the money in
Vanessa's mind. When it takes root, she'll turn to the family for
advice, but Dinah will have beaten her to the punch via the quasi-
subliminal route.
ET also informs Rog that Blake has given her Ye Olde Heave-ho, and he
should prepare for a houseguest. :)
Rog: "...what am I going to do with you?..."
   ET: "Anything you want."
Another attempt at a kiss - Roger declines his "turn".
   ET: "Gotta go --- 'Showtime'."

Inside the house, ET "innocently" asks: "Do I still live here??" :)
Big hug from Ross, and Dinah lies that she stayed overnight with
friends ("...didn't Blake tell you??"). Ross prompts Blake to "kiss and
make up", and she invites the little monster to stay chez Marler ("...I
hope we can put this misunderstanding behind us...").
Blake decides to blow-off work, and Ross wants to follow suit, but is
talked into manning his office. Exit SugarDaddy. The Blake-ster wastes
no time reading Dinah the riot act:
"...if you ever do anything to hurt your father, you'll regret
it...RULES: pick up after yourself, clean the bathtub, take your hair
out of the sink and don't stay out overnight without calling..."
   Dinah: "_Sure_, CHRISSY..." ;))

   The Journal.
Nick and Fletch are deep in their normal work routine; packages
arrive for Holly ("...she doesn't work here anymore!") and Fletch
reluctantly signs for them.
Alexandra bops in, ostensibly for a meeting with society maven
Tiffany Astor. Turns out Tiff is Alex's "mole", and gives her the 4-1-1
on Holly's exit from Dodge. Al concludes business with Tiff, gives Nick
a kiss on the forehead (and a gentle reminder to drop by the mansion
from time to time) and mutters a cursory (if not overtly cheerful)
hello/goodbye to Fletch.
Outside in the corridor, tho, Alex slumps against a wall --- clearly,
the woman has a "Fletcher" love-jones. Big-time. :)

Ben arrives and seeks out Nick (of all people) for dating advice.
Nick: "...play it cool, don't force anything, follow her and then..."
Fletch: (overhearing convo and stepping up to the mike)
"No! Only a sneak would stoop to that!"
Fletcher (with the entire staff now listening in) suggests a direct
approach, which Nick thinks comes close to stalking. :) Exit Ben.
In segue-mode, Fletch wonders why women fall for Roger, blah, blah,
blah. Nick warns him to be careful; Rog is dangerous.
Fletcher: "What can Roger do to me??!"

And at that very moment in the country club (?), Leo is dropping a
thick file on Fletcher in front of Roger (labelled in large, black block
letters, "Fletcher Reade" :) ).
Leo: "Everything you wanted to know (about him) --- and more..."
Perusing the document, Rog discovers that Fletch's credit cards are
maxed, he owns 20% of the Journal, was involved in a fierce custody
battle for Ben with the boy's grandmother (shortly after his wife's
death)...
Leo: "Pretty good stuff, huh? But the real thing is..."
[We don't get to hear the juicy part.]

   Spaulding Enterprises.
The short story: AM has a hard time keeping his hands off Lucy. While
fielding an important call from Argentina, the AM Clone arrives en
scene, flirts w/Luce at her desk, and they wind up swapping mega-spit in
an (open door) supply closet. Alan Michael spots them, and he and the
Clone exchange eye contact (Lucy's back to AM).
In the inner sanctorum, Mr. Lawrence is told to stick to "business".
Mr. L: "Hey, I thought the 'field' was clear; this
this job is more important than that girl..."
Enter Lucy: "..if you're discussing 'figures'..." [Brumpt-TING!]
   Awkward moment. Exit Luce.
AM: "...this has nothing to do with Lucy. I'm running
a business, Mr. Lawerence - do we understand each other?"
   AM Clone: "...perfectly...".
AM-C exits to the outer office and cancels a date with Lucy.
Later, Alan Michael approaches her, and issues an "I'm pissed about
the spit-swapping" warning which is disingenuously disguised as a
dictated memo on "sexual harassement in the workplace".
   AM: "...see that it's typed-up." ;))

   Cedars.
Lillian is brainslapped by her physician for blowing off her
appointment for follow-up mammograms.
Alex arrives (board (?) meeting), overhears; Eve transports in, bumps
into Lil, and drops items that point to her suspected pregnancy. Eve
gives Lillian the 4-1-1 on her and Ed's planned "elopement". Lillian
offers to give Eve a beta HCG test on the baby thing, and the offer is
accepted; Eve swears Lil to secrecy. Enter Ed, and he and his intended
go off for private chat.

Alex lectures Lillian, and wants the truth about her reluctance to
take her mammograms: "...Why are you putting it off??".
   Lil: "...I've been busy.."
(she spots Ed and Eve together, talking and smiling)
          "...feeling old and useless..."
Alex: "...we're in the _prime_ of our lives, dah-ling!"
   Staying-in-shape chat follows.
Lil: "This is for Fletch, right?"
Alex: "No, dah-ling; this is for any man lucky
enough to throw his hat in the ring!"

[Buzz, you have a poontang call on line 1.]

Near the nurses' station, Ed tells Eve they'll be married in two days
at City Hall --- all bases at the hospital are covered.
Bridget arrives (Peter having routine tests performed) and overhears
the plans. Eve confirms the elopement (Jet thought E would hold out for
the "big ceremony"-type stuff :) ).
Bridget then walks over to Al and Lil, and tells her impromptu
decision to throw a shower for Eve. Lillian walks over to another
nurse, and in response to a request for affirmation, "reschedules" her
mammogram.
Jet uses a payphone to call Blake, who in turn phones Vanessa.

Later, while Lillian is taking Eve's blood, Ed pauses outside the
room and overhears Lillian say "...and your beta HCG test will be ready
in a couple of hours...".
   Exit Lil, enter Ed.

I sense a disturbance in the Force. :)
