- Lillian relives her past and Annie gets more mysterious

CEDARS, "THE LOVE GROTTO?":
Boring night at the hospital, Eve looks like she's either very
tired or in pain. Ed asks if she's OK and she says she's fine.
Suddenly Matt rushes in with Peter, who has a temperature of
105F. Vanessa isn't far behind.

Matt was babysitting Peter for Bridget when Peter started getting
sick. Peter whines as Eve and Ed examine him (boy this kid is
good! He really seems sick!) Meanwhile, Lillian and Annie help
an injured woman into the emergency room.

Lillian quickly sees through the woman's story of her injury and
figures that someone has abused her and broken her collar bone.
Annie seems like she doesn't understand at first, but then gets a
pained look on her face (maybe from a bad memory?).

It turns out Peter has a case of the chicken pox, and will need
to spend the night in the hospital for observation. Vanessa
doesn't understand why they need to keep Peter, and both Eve and
Lillian are vague but cheery in their explanations. While
Vanessa and Matt visit Peter, Lillian fills Annie in on her
experience as an abused wife at the hands of Bradley Raines.
Lillian regrets waiting to get help until after he assaulted her
daughter and wants to help this woman before it is too late.
Josh arrives, looking for Annie who is late for their date.

Josh decides to walk Annie home. Ed decides that he and Eve need
to set a date for their wedding, and tells Eve to pick one and
that will be it. Ed gets amorous at the emergency desk, and is
interrupted by Lillian who wants Ed to talk to the abused woman
about leaving her husband. As he leaves, Eve vows that they will
have time for each other some day.

Josh walks Annie to her door. Apparently she was silent the
whole way home. She awkwardly tries to explain that she's not in
the mood for him to come in, and he plants a big kiss on her.
She responds, then breaks it off and says good night, leaving
Josh confused. Inside the door, Annie goes from being happy to
starting to cry as she looks around.

Lillian tells Ed he has to see a patient in the examining room.
It is a trick: Eve is waiting in the candle-lit examining room
for her "doctor".

MIND GAMES:

As he leaves for the day, A-M tosses a copy of a contract on
Lucy's desk for proof-reading. Lucy says no way, she has a date,
but A-M plays the bad guy, saying she may have to miss her date
to get the work done. Enter Dinah. A-M doesn't recognize her at
first, but they soon have a joyous reunion, much to Lucy's
chagrin. A-M and Dinah catch up, and hole themselves up in his
office. Brent shows up and Lucy tells him about the contracts
she needs to proofread. Meanwhile, Dinah swindles a dinner out
of A-M, smoking the whole time. She's quite pleased to learn
that A-M has an unlimited expense account. They pass Lucy and
Brent on the way out, further inciting Lucy's jealousy, who
decides to forget work and immediately begin her date.

Dinah and A-M catch up (on his marriages, her European
experience) over dinner at the Springfield Inn. A-M thinks Dinah
looks like her mother, and this ticks Dinah off who insists she
doesn't even really know her mother. Dinah tries to pump A-M for
info about Matt, but doesn't get anywhere. Surprise, surprise!
Lucy and Brent have chosen this place for their date! Brent
tries to impress Lucy by "bribing" the maitre'd to get the best
table in the house (and he shows them to the table just inside
the door!! :)). Lucy sees A-M and Dinah and tries to get Brent
to go elsewhere but he refuses. A-M also notices that Lucy and
Brent are there.

Lucy and Brent chit-chat while A-M jealously look on. Dinah
wonders who she is and picks up on the game that is being played
between Lucy and A-M, and it intrigued that Lucy is Frank and
Harley's sister. Lucy continues to giggle and talk to Brent, and
A-M continues to be jealous.

A-M and Dinah take off, and A-M stops by Lucy and Brent's table
to see how the contracts read. Lucy relishes in his obvious
jealousy.

WHY CAN'T THEY JUST DO IT AND PUT US OUT OF OUR MISERY?

Frank and the new Eleni arrive home at the diner to a 5th street
welcome (the new Eleni looks a lot like the old one. Pretty, and
she's apparently really Greek...).

Buzz and Nadine visit Ross about getting a divorce.

Buzz and Nadine have a hard time deciding who will sue the other
for divorce, and what the grounds should be. After much
discussion and mutual admiration, they decide Nadine will sue
Buzz for divorce on the grounds of abandonment (stemming from the
potato festival incident at the Moose Lodge a couple months
back).

Everyone at the diner eats cake and drinks Ouzo to celebrate
Eleni's homecoming. Stavros pumps them for details on their
experience. Lucy and Brent transport in, and Brent wonders how
large her family is (he says it seems everyone in the
neighborhood is a Cooper). Meanwhile, Eleni and Frank have a
touching conversation about her roots in Crete and her new life
in ASpringfield in the kitchen of the diner.

JoAint property discussion. They own nothing in common that they
can immediately think of. While Nadine thinks, Buzz and Ross
dAiscuss the fee for Ross's services. Buzz mentions Ross's TV
commercial and receives his 20% off ;). Nadine discovers all
Athey have in common is a set of matching luggage with broken
handles. Ross wants to know if they're sure they want to get a
divorce, and agrees to start the paperwork.

Buzz and Nadine arrive back at the diner and are happy to see
Frank and Eleni. Buzz and Nadine have a hard time telling Frank
and Eleni about their decision to divorce. Nadine is troubled by
her psychosomatic back pain again, and leaves Buzz to fill them
in about the divorce.

Frank doesn't understand why Buzz and Nadine want to get a
divorce. Frank earns his psychology degree by pointing out
Nadine's back problems are a barometer of her mental health.
Frank goes to find Nadine crying in the kitchen, though she is
convinced that the divorce is the right thing. Ross comes by the
diner to drop off the divorce papers to be signed. Since they
have no minor kids, property, etc., things can move along very
quickly.

Ross tries to console Frank about the divorce, and then goes to
call Blake. Eleni explains to Frank that she understands what he
is going through in being upset about the divorce. Meanwhile,
Buzz tries to get Nadine to sign the divorce papers. Nadine is
upset because the papers are so sterile, not really reflecting
their rich history with their family.

Buzz tells Ross they need until tomorrow to sign the divorce
papers.

That's it!
