   Crete. The Isle of Christos.
C-Fabi-0 has gone "ballistic" [;)], and pulls a gun on Frank and
Eleni.
Frank lectures him on love, noting that what he feels for Eleni "ain't
it". He tries to disarm the guy, but no go. Christos launches into a
"poor me" speech:
"...when I 'lost' Eleni, I shut myself in my room...couldn't
sleep...healed on the island...when she came here, she spoiled
the tranquility with memories of betrayal..."
Eleni reminds Christos that even if he kills Frank, her and her
husband's love will live on forever.
Christos: "...I'm sorry...". He cocks the trigger of the gun, then
suddenly --- gunfire!
It's Demitra! And she's shot her brother (in the arm) to prevent him
from harming F&E!

Demitra promises to end the feud if they leave the island; Frank and
Eleni take the 'copter back to the mainland.
There, they celebrate (Good Lord; talk about good news travelling
fast...) with Yia-Yia and Eleni's brothers and what looks to be half the
village. A bit later, F&E exchange declarations of love in the sunset on
some outside steps. Then, back inside, they join her relatives in a
celebatory Greek line dance.

But back on the Isle of Christos...
Demitra tends her brother's wound, and confesses that she promised to
end the feud; it's over.
Christos: "...but things between me and Eleni are NOT over..."

   Diner.
Short story: Buzz tries to put a monkey wrench in Carroll and
Nadine's budding relationship by describing "Life With The Deen-ster":
   "...it's like living with a friend...or a dog...
or a baseball mitt --- not romantic..."
Carroll calls it a night, and exchanges a kiss with Nadine outside.
In the kitchen, Nadine asks for a divorce and offers to pay for it
herself; Buzz eventually promises to divorce her 1st thing in the am.

Sid and Gilly bop in post awards ceremony, and things get hairy.
   LA or NYC is a pre-requisite for her dream --- a network gig;
Washington, Paris, London.... The LA producer tracks G down, and wants a
"yes or no" on a LA interview w/the big brass. Gilly agrees.
With Mr. News gone, Sid breaks out a ring:
"I'll be damned if I'm going to let that stop me:
...will - you - marry me?"

The Sid-ster pleads that being bi-costal might pose a problem.
Gilly: "I can't stand for anyone to tell me
what to do --- can you live with that?"
Sid storms out, but returns in short order:
   "...listen - I'm not dealing with a bi-costal woman
--- no matter HOW talented she is..."
Gilly: "You may not _have_ to..."
Exit the Gill-ster. Ms. Grant if you're nasty.

It's high noon in Dodge as Fletcher confronts Roger on the country
club terrace. Fletch is initially pushed to the ground via an elementary
akido move (in his rush to deliver the 4-1-1, he grabbed Roger to slow
him down), but bounces back up, cujones on "red alert".
Reade comes right out with the truth about his romp with Holly, but
only earns laughter from Roger, who thanks him for "falling on his
sword", and trying to cover for the real man involved.
[Holly, meanwhile, has taken up a lurking position
a few feet away, behind open terrace doors.......]

Fletcher persists, declaring real feelings for Holly; Roger (frowning
and controlling his emotions magnificently - clearly, he considers
Fletch "not worthy" of anger) is forced to accept the confession.
Reade announces that "the pen is mightier than the sword"; that the
Dodger would do well to leave Holly alone, and puts Rog on warning:
fear (on his part) isn't going to be a factor in any future
confrontations. Exit Fletcher (stares briefly exchanged w/Holly at
entrance to terrace; no words spoken).

Holly barges onto the terrace and brainslaps Roger for the trick note
he left for her at the award table.
Roger pleads for mercy: Fletch got to blow off some steam, no one was
hurt...he's willing to let by-gones be by-gones, and get on with the
marriage and their lives. As he begins to segue into a brainslap against
Reade, Holly breaks south: "...careful; you put him down, you put _me_
down..."
Roger: "You actually CARE for Fletcher Reade??!"
   Holly: ".........yes."
She calls off the marriage ("...you were dismissive and cruel (to
Fletcher)!...").
Roger promises zero retaliation against Fletcher. Bzzzt.
Holly: "...I don't want your love anymore....". Exit Miss Neurotic
1995.

Meanwhile, Fletch has taken his angst to the Journal's empty offices,
and "macking" Shakespeare ("to drink or not to drink --- to get drunk or
not to get drunk"), pulls a bottle of whiskey (I believe Jack Daniels)
from his desk drawer and a golden award statuette from a shelf.
Using someone's desk lamp as a "spotlight", Fletch launches into
a soliloquy-as-catharsis "acceptance" speech:
   "...I've been a perfect fool...kidded myself that I didn't
need anyone...someone has ruined all my pretty little
illusions; shaken me to my core...except for my son, I
don't know what I care about..."
Enter (Danny?) the janitor, who breaks into applause.
Blah, blah, blah. Fletch offers up verbal appreciation to the guy,
then asks for a box. Packing so soon? Is a career change on the horizon?

Back at the CC, Blake strolls onto the empty terrace, finds the faux
note Roger had written to Holly, then heads home.
Holly walks up just as Blake is turning the door key and announces on
her way in:
"Your father and I have split up --- this time for good..."

Roger has hightailed it to the boarding house for a "Peter Fix", and
is obliged by Bridget.
While playing with his grandson, Rog tries to clear his mind by using
Petey as a sounding board:
"...I don't understand Holly...she bolts everytime I try to show her
I care...maybe I should stop trying so hard..."

   Yup.
Note to the Dodger: your woman doesn't know what she wants; never
did, IMMHO. And she's about to enter another "sunglasses 'N migraines"
phase. Let her be the one to "bust" the next move.
Here's hoping Holly goes after Fletch, and Alexandra has to rescue
_both_ of them from a "Wine and Roses"-type fiasco.
