Dinah and Matt continue their vigil of talking to Vanessa to bring her out
of the coma. Matt notices her heart rate dropping and Rick says they are
losing her. Matt refuses to give up.

Vanessa and Maureen continue their walk through the future without Vanessa.
We find out that Dinah is in a wheelchair because she and Matt were in a car
accident after they left Cassie's bar on the 2nd anniversary of Van's death.
Dinah is bitter because her mother left her once again, and she and Cassie
are still at each other. Vanessa tells Mo it doesn't have to be that way.

Rick brings Abby to see Michelle and Abby realizes that Michelle is blind.
Abby is upset with Michelle for reacting the way she did to her new
handicap. Abby tells Michelle she is acting selfish and she should tell
Jesse the truth. Abby walks off and the cute Dr. Dan is their to let
Michelle cry on his shoulder. She asks him if she should call Jesse and
tell him the truth and he says it depends on how much she loves Jesse.
Michelle and Dan hug and of course, Jesse sees it after he got curious as to
why Rick wouldn't let him near Vanessa's room.

Lillian and Philip bring Beth home much to the joy of Lizzy. When Philip
tells Lizzy that he will be leaving, she throws a temper tantrum and finally
convinces Philip to hold off on his moving in with Harley so that he can
stay there and help Lizzy take care of Beth. Lillian continues her useless
efforts of trying to get Beth to forget about trying to get Philip back.
Beth won't listen. She is determined to have her family back together.

Harley and Reva practice gun safety and shooting at the shooting range.
Harley doesn't like the idea of Reva having a gun in the house with the
kids, but Reva tells her that H.B. raised them all around guns and they know
all about gun safety. Reva practices her aim and sort of prays that she
won't have to use it. Harley leaves to go surprise Philip at their new
house. Josh walks up behind Reva and scares her half to death, and is upset
that she is there and takes the gun from her.

Harley plans a romantic evening at their new home for her and Philip with
candlelight, soft music, champagne and the one piece of furniture they have,
a bed. Philip tries several times to Harley about Beth's homecoming and how
he promised Lizzy that he would stay for a little while longer, but she has
only one thing on her mind: christening every piece of their new furniture.
