>* Ross reveals he still has a soft spot for Kevin.
>* Reva follows the "trail" of her sister to Chicago, to Annie's glee.
>* Alan embarks on a new career as a wedding planner.
>
>LAUREL FALLS: Phillip finds Rick brooding. Rick doesn't want to talk.
>Phil tosses Rick his beeper, which he left home. It's been going off day
>& night, & the phone hasn't stopped ringing either. Rick doesn't give a
>damn. He's lost everything, now that he's told Abby the truth.
>
>CEDARS: Blake, dressed in street clothes, stares morosely out the window
>of her room. Holly arrives & says Blake should have waited for her to
>help her get dressed. Blake doesn't care about her head injury--she's
>more concerned about Ross's broken heart. She tells Holly about
>yesterday's horrible visit to Ross & how much he hates her. Holly thinks
>it's just that he's still "raw." Things will work out after Blake goes
>home. Blake worries that Ross won't want her there.
>
>LEWIS HOUSE: Annie is stretched out on the couch with a magazine. Josh
>brings her some hot cider & fusses over her. She says she's fine & he
>can go to work. Josh says he'll be working right there at the table.
>Annie asks if he can get her a cinnamon stick. When he's gone, she
>quickly calls Alan. She asks if there's any more news about Reva. He
>says the detective Reva hired has followed their trail perfectly & Reva
>is on her way to Chicago. She's about to learn more about her sister's
>miserable life than she ever wanted to know.
>
>CHICAGO: Reva approaches a large white house & hesitates before
>knocking.
>
>LAUREL FALLS: Rick tosses his beeper back to Phillip & says he should
>tell everyone that he couldn't find him. Phillip wishes he could help
>fix Rick's hurt. He asks what he should tell the people at Cedars. Rick
>doesn't care. Phil says they're counting on him. Rick agrees with Abby
>that he's a lousy person. Phil says cutting himself off from the rest of
>the world won't help him get Abby back. Rick doesn't think Phillip's in
>any position to give advice. Phil is speaking from a wealth of
>experience in screwing up relationships. He sits down beside Rick.
>
>Rick wonders how he can get Abby back. He can't sleep or work or live.
>Phil says he can & will because too many people need him. Rick thinks
>Phil is really good with words & asks if he can think of anything to say
>to Abby. Phil doesn't think so, since he couldn't come up with the words
>to keep Beth from walking away. Rick wonders how he can convince Abby
>that he never meant to hurt her. He loves her & wants to marry her.
>"Once you've lost somone's trust, how do you ever get that back?"
>
>CHICAGO: A dark-haired woman answers the door & asks if she can help
>Reva. Reva explains that she's looking for her sister, who spent some
>time there several years ago. The woman explains that Simon House has
>strict regulations regarding confidentiality. Reva respects this. She
>tells the story about Sarah's dying wish. The woman says Reva needs to
>put her request in writing & starts to turn away. Reva calls after her
>that her sister's name is Dani. "Dani LaFontaine?" asks the woman. She
>invites Reva in.
>
>LEWIS HOUSE: Alan tells Annie he found the perfect person at Simon House
>to feed Reva the info they want her to have. Annie gets very excited.
>Josh returns & she hangs up quickly. She says she was getting some info
>from the doctor's office about her cyst, so she can find out when he can
>stop waiting on her. Josh says he doesn't mind taking care of her one
>bit. He gives her some videos to help pass the time. Annie says she'd
>rather sit & talk. She cuddles up to him & says he makes her so happy &
>they have a whole lifetime of happiness ahead of them.
>
>SPAULDING MANSION: Alan hears Amanda & Roger approaching. They enter &
>Alan wheels toward them happily. He says he's set the date for May. Rog
>asks what Alan's talking about. The wedding, of course. Alan has got
>everything planned, from the minister to the cake. All they have to do
>is show up & say "I do." Amanda & Rog look at one another questioningly.
>
>CEDARS: Blake says she called home before 6 AM and got the answering
>machine. She thinks Ross is avoiding her. She apologizes to Holly for
>screwing up so royally. Holly says she should be happy the car accident
>wasn't worse & that everyone is safe & sound. Blake says Kevin is doing
>great & might be released today. Holly says everything will work out &
>be back like they were before she knows it. Blake thanks Holly for all
>her support & mentions that Rog has been wonderful too. Holly agrees,
>with a little amazement. Blake asks if he knows about the twins. Holly
>says he figured it out himself. Blake asks if he's mad; Holly says he
>loves Blake too much for that. Blake thinks it must bother Holly to have
>to spend so much time around Rog lately. Holly claims she hasn't really
>noticed it, having been too focused on Blake & the boys.
>
>Holly packs Blake's things & assures her that Ross will forgive her in
>time. Blake thinks she should have learned from her past mistakes &
>known better than to lie to Ross. He's forgiven her before, but he also
>warned her that the next time would be the last. Holly says people say
>things like that out of anger. Ross needs time for the shock & hurt to
>settle down. Then Blake can talk to him. Blake says Ross was beyond
>anger yesterday. He looked at her as if she didn't exist. Holly hugs
>Blake & reassures her again that Ross loves her & the boys & everything
>will be all right.
>
>Over in pediatrics, Ross watches through the window as a doctor checks
>Kevin out. A nurse brings Ross a gown & tells him what a fighter Kevin
>is. She makes the mistake of mentioning Rick in conjunction with the
>surgery & then tries to remove her foot from her mouth. Ross says he's
>taking Kevin home today. The nurse brings him into the room so he can
>hold Kevin. He picks up the boy & the nurse & doctor leave. Ross tells
>Kevin he's going to be a big boy just like his daddy. He realizes what
>he said & looks sad. "You have my name, but that's all you have of me.
>All my life, I'm going to be wishing it was more." Kevin looks around
>the room with great curiosity, smiling & gurgling & coughing a little.
>Ross kisses the baby's head. [What a cutie! Peter Reardon, watch out!]
>
>SPAULDING MANSION: Amanda can't imagine why Alan would plan their
>wedding. Rog notes that Alan's been against the marriage from the start.
>Alan says they've all been getting along fine & the business has been
>doing well in the past few weeks. Didn't Amanda coordinate Lucy & AM's
>wedding? It would make Alan very happy to do it for Amanda & Rog. He
>expresses his regrets to Rog over Blake's troubles. Rog says he can take
>care of his own family & Amanda too. Alan thinks they both have a lot on
>their plates right now. Rog appreciates Alan's gesture, but says they
>can plan their own wedding. Alan says there's another consideration--Rog
>& Amanda have taken on a lot of work & have fallen behind. Amanda is
>appreciative but thinks Alan should focus his energies on getting well.
>Alan says he's been doing just that. He grabs a cane & pushes himself to
>his feet. He takes a few steps & says nothing would make him happier
>than to walk his daughter down the aisle. He takes Amanda's hand & joins
>it with Roger's. "The sooner, the better," he smiles.
>
>Amanda says Annie must be some nurse. Alan says Annie doesn't know he's
>walking yet. Amanda & Rog are both happy for Alan. Rog says he's going
>to see Blake. Amanda says she'll stay home to take care of some
>business. Rog warns Alan not to push himself too hard. Alan says there's
>not a chance of a relapse, as he has too much to look forward to.
>
>LEWIS HOUSE: Josh discusses some blueprints over the phone with a
>client. He mentions that he'll be working from home for the next few
>days. After he finishes the call, Annie asks what happened to Reva. She
>was supposed to see the kids today. Josh hasn't heard from her. Annie
>thinks it's not like Reva to disappoint the kids twice in one week.
>
>SIMON HOUSE: Reva says she doesn't have a lot of time because she has to
>get back to her kids. But she would like to hear what the woman can tell
>her about Dani. The woman suggests that Reva tell her everything she
>knows already & she'll try to fill in the blanks. Reva recites
>everything she's learned so far, including the fact that Dani would be
>in her late 20s now. [Boy, they sure are being deliberately vague about
>this. Reva knows she was 10 when Sarah had the baby, so she darn well
>ought to know how old the child is now! Maybe she's just being coy about
>her own age.] The last Reva heard was that Dani had made her way from
>California back to Chicago. The woman asks whether anyone bothered to
>look for Dani after she ran away. Not hard enough, guesses Reva. She
>can't imagine what it would be like to be disappear & not have anyone
>try to find her.
>
>The woman says Dani had a lot of spirit. Everything Reva has told her
>seems to match up with a girl who lived at Simon House for awhile. Reva
>gets excited & wants to know what happened to Dani. The woman says Dani
>arrived very messed up, having been living out on the street for some
>time. Dani was a victim of "the worst kind of exploitation," but wants
>to spare Reva the details. Reva wants to know the truth. The woman says
>Dani had given up all hope at first & had no will to live. She tried to
>commit suicide, but someone found her in time & brought her to Simon
>House. She wouldn't let them contact anyone she had lived with before.
>She felt safe at Simon House & started to get better. Eventually, she
>found a new foster family.
>
>Reva asks for the name & address of the family. The woman pleads
>confidentiality, but not for very long. The woman says it could take
>several hours to get the information, so Reva says she'll go back to
>Springfield & follow up. The woman cautions Reva about getting her hopes
>up too much. Reva is confident about finding her sister. She leaves on
>an up note, and the woman sighs heavily after Reva is gone.
>
>LAUREL FALLS: Phillip offers to talk to Abby. Rick thinks it's useless,
>since Abby knows Phil knew about the twins too. He thinks maybe once you
>lose someone's trust, you can't get it back. Phil says he & Rick have
>certainly put things back together enough times over the years. [Why
>don't they both just get a clue that they're meant for each other,
>already?! What are a few wives compared to a bond this strong?]
>
>Rick says this is different. Phil agrees. Women don't work through
>things the same as men. Women are petty about stuff like this. It's like
>they're not even the same species. That's why he & Rick will never
>figure out how to get Abby back. Rick should talk to a woman. Phillip
>thinks there's no reason why they shouldn't be able to work things out,
>though. As he follows through on this thought, it dawns on Rick that
>Phil came up with a great idea a few sentences back. Phil gave him the
>answer! Rick rushes off to save his relationship.
>
>CEDARS: Holly is glad to take Blake home & get the chance to see Jason
>again. Blake asks if Holly saw Kevin in the nursery. (She sure did.)
>Blake notes that Kevin & Jason have never been separated before & it
>will be good for them to be together again. Blake worries that when the
>boys are older... will Kevin be able to forgive her? Holly says she
>should put those questions aside & concentrate on going home with a
>positive attitude. Blake wishes she could believe that everything will
>be all right. Holly hugs Blake & says she can make it happen. Will make
>it happen. She leaves to go take care of Kevin's & Blake's discharges.
>
>In the hall, Holly runs into Ross & Kevin. She asks if Ross was coming
>to see Blake, but he says he's taking his son home. He asks Holly to
>excuse him & continues on his way.
>
>Roger also runs into Ross in the hall & asks how Kevin is. Ross says
>he's much improved, and continues walking. Roger moves on to Holly &
>asks what's going on. Holly says Ross is taking Kevin home & Blake is
>ready to go too. Rog asks if he can see her. Holly warns him that Blake
>is a mess right now. He asks if he should tell her about Ross. Holly's
>not sure. She goes off to handle the paperwork.
>
>Rog greets Blake, who's glad to see her dad. He knows it must be scary,
>not knowing what to expect. Stuck alone in the hospital is fertile
>ground for all kinds of bad thoughts to ricochet around in one's head.
>Sounds like Rog is talking from experience, and he is. He advises her to
>think positive & not drown in worry. Blake knows that what she's done
>has hurt so many people & is unforgivable. Her sons are the subject of
>lurid gossip. She asks what kind of person & mother she is. Rog puts his
>arm around her & says she's always been his most precious treasure, his
>pride & joy. Anyone who has her love & doesn't appreciate it is a fool.
>So she made a mistake. He's made plenty & he's still there.
>
>Rog regrets that he wasn't there when Chrissy was growing up & that he
>missed all the times she needed her dad. He'd like the chance now to be
>a father to her. He wants to tell her that it will be all right. He
>promises that it will be. Holly watches this tender scene through the
>window in the door, then comes in to tell Blake she's ready to go. Blake
>asks where Kevin is. Holly hesitates briefly, then smiles & says Blake
>will see him at home. She explains that Ross took Kevin home. Blake is
>sad that Ross was at the hospital & didn't come see her.
>
>Holly says Ross was focused on Kevin. Rog thinks it's a good sign that
>Ross still loves Kevin & wants to be his father. Blake hopes this is
>true. Maybe her parents are right & there's a chance for her & Ross
>after all. Holly & Rog both pat Blake with soothing gestures.
>
>At the nurse's station, Rick calls the general store near Goshen. He
>says he's trying to get a message to Charlotte Blume. It's personal &
>very important. Abby shows up at the nursing station & looks at Rick.
>
>LEWIS HOUSE: Annie runs down the stairs with her coat over her arm. She
>takes a roll of blueprints from a drawer near the table where Josh was
>working, and unrolls them onto the table. She writes something across
>the top of the plans, then slides them under the blueprints that were
>already on the table. Josh comes in & asks what she's doing. She acts
>like she was just looking at the plans & says she was on her way to tell
>Alan that she's quitting. Josh thinks she should just call him, but
>Annie says that wouldn't be very professional. Josh says she's supposed
>to stay home & rest. Annie promises that she will, but she doesn't have
>to stay in bed. She wants some fresh air. She heads out, promising not
>to be gone long. "Whatever," says Josh, sitting down to work.
>
>He sees the plans Annie put on the table. She wrote "I LOVE YOU" across
>the top. Suggested baby names are written around the plans too--Andrew
>Joshua Lewis, Sophia Rose, Harlan Dutton... "HD Lewis? I don't think
>so," comments Josh with a laugh & a smile. He pushes the paper aside
>when he hears an insistent rapping at the door.
>
>It's Reva, full of apologies for being late to see the kids. Josh lets
>her in & she calls up to the kids. Josh says they're not home; when Reva
>was late, he sent them out with Katie. Reva gets angry. Why didn't he
>wait for her? Josh has been late & she's never sent the kids away so
>they wouldn't be there when he finally showed up. "You don't do that,
>Josh! You don't just send kids away!" Josh seems mystefied by her
>intense reaction.
>
>CEDARS: Rick finishes his call & tries to talk to Abby. She says she
>thought she'd made it clear she doesn't want to talk to him. She
>continues on about her business.
>
>Outside Blake's room, Rog arrives with a wheelchair for Blake. Holly
>thanks him for being so wonderful with Blake. "You don't have to thank
>me for loving our daughter," he replies. Holly opens the door & Blake
>emerges, happy to settle in for her ride to the exit. Over her head, Rog
>& Holly smile at each other before Rog starts pushing.
>
>SPAULDING MANSION: Now that Roger's gone, Amanda hopes Alan will tell
>her the real reason behind his wedding-planning. Alan stands behind is
>original explanation. Amanda thinks this isn't like him. Alan says the
>least he can do is promote family harmony.
>
>Annie rushes in, apologizing for hanging up on Alan. She stops short
>when she sees Amanda.
>
>LEWIS HOUSE: Reva apologizes for snapping at Josh. She's on the verge of
>tears & says she'll call the kids later. Josh asks her to tell him the
>truth about what's going on, as the screen fades to black.
