>TBIMOT HIGH (OR LOW) LIGHTS:
>ANNIREXIC jabs at REVA and weaves

>ABI moves to MOD-REVABEND where REV

>
>I happened to be home watching the show,
>and was distressed to see the tv go blank
>just as Pilar entered the courtroom on
>ATWT. Not to worry--there still was 10
>minutes before GL. KPIX viewers were treated
>to a logo and dead air. At 2 it was still
>there. Finally the screen came to life and
>there was GERALDO interviewing famous
>daughters of Redd Foxx, Michael Landon and
>Sammy Davis Jr. I started dialing the station
>and got repeated busy signals. At least I
>knew I wasn't alone. After a bit, GL was
>joined in progress but the lighthouse twirl
>was long over.
>I am sending this to my fellow updaters and
>they are going to fill in the blanks about
>this missing section.
>UPDATE UPDATE:
>My partners in crime haven't replied yet, so
>in the interests of posted the update in the
>week that it occured I am sending this before
>I leave work. Anyone who wants, can jump in
>and fill in the blanks.
>
>JOINED IN PROGRESS AT LOWHAD:
>Reva is telling Annie that she has learned that
>family is all that matters in the end. ICAM,
>says Annirexic. At least she has stopped patting
>her tummy 24 hours a day. Rev wonders how she
>is feeling, and Annie assures her all is great.
>She gushes about the nursery and declares that
>"spoiled rotten is what this child's middle name
>is going to be." That will look cute on the birth
>certificate, Rev shoots back. Annie is babbling
>about how she and Josh have never been closer.
>Your cue, Josh. He enters gazing longingly at Reva.
>The three exchange looks.
>
>BAUER KITCHEN:
>[I think it's strange that a Goshen girl would
>shorten Abigail to Abi instead of the more
>tradition Abby, but I guess I'll go along with
>TPTB on this one]
>Abi is laying into Rick telling him that he dare
>not presume to tell her how she feels. She is
>worried that all the people at the engagement
>party who heard her singing Rick's praises think
>she's an idiot. An unshaven Rick tells her that
>everyone knows that he's the jerk. It is interesting
>that he is still attempting signs, but Abi is not
>using them at all. Rick begs for a chance to explain,
>and tries to tell the story of the night he spent
>with Blake. Abi yells at Rick to stop it. She may
>be inexperienced but she is not stupid. She knows
>she had no claim on him the night Kevin was conceived
>but what bothers her is all the weeks and months
>he had to tell her after they were close. After he
>sobered up and realized that it was more than
>a one night stand with Blake, he still kept the
>secret. Rick signs that she'll never know how much
>he wanted to tell her. Abi cuts to the bottom line:
>after he told her that he wanted to marry her, he
>still didn't tell her. She is suspicious that he
>is only sorry because he was caught. If there hadn't
>been an accident, he never would have told her.
>
>CARRIAGE HOUSE:
>Blake is in the living room, looking forlorn in her
>hospital gown. She still has that nasty untreated cut
>on her forehead. Blake goes to Jason and babbles to him
>as he fusses. Ross looks on stonily. Blake picks the
>baby up, and asks Ross if he is going to let her talk.
>Ross tells her she has five minutes. He wonders if she
>just walked out of Cedars. Blake says she had to see
>him and doesn't care how much it costs. She tells him
>she loves him so much. Ross tells her not to speak to
>him of love. Blake says she knows she did a terrible
>thing with Rick, but she didn't get to that awful
>place by herself. She had help. Ross sarcastically says
>he knows that Rick was involved. Blake is talking about
>Ross. He tells her not to dare blame the tragedy on him.
>Blake looks at him imploringly, Jason in her arms.
>
>WHAT A NIGHTMARE:
>After a commercial break, we return to the Marlers.
>Blake tells Ross that she got plastered after seeing
>him with Amanda. So what, says Ross. Blake says it was
>her nightmare come true. Self-righteous Ross says that
>nothing happened, and nothing was going to happen. [He
>seems to forget that it was only Matt's revelation that
>threw a kink into Mandy's plans]. Blake says she didn't
>know that, but Ross replies she should have marched in and
>asked what the hell was going on. Instead she ran off
>with ridiculous ideas in her head. Blake points out
>that Amanda's actions certainly made her ideas more
>plausible. Ross was sending Mandy mixed messages. Ross
>looks at his mail, turning his back on her. He says
>this is "paranoid thinking." Blake says Mandy was
>constantly in her face telling her that her days as Mrs.
>Ross Marler were numbered. She asks if Ross doesn't
>remember the rude remarks about her appearance. "Frankly,
>I don't" says the clueless Ross. Blake says Mandy was
>very good at making her feel insecure and ugly. Ross
>is all she has ever wanted, and she loved him so much.
>Once again, Ross tells her not to speak of love. She tries
>to get Ross to admit that it wasn't her fault that she
>panicked at the kiss, but he is not accepting any responsiblity.
>Blake asks him if he can honestly say he wasn't flattered.
>Didn't he give Mandy hope instead of pushing her away with
>all his strength? The baby cries, and Blake goes to him.
>As she croons, Ross looks on coldly.
>
>ABI GIVES RICK THE BUSINESS ABOUT HIS BETRAYAL:
>Abi wonders if Rick was going to walk down the aisle with her
>without revealing he had a son by another woman. Rick tries
>to blame it on Blake, but Abi isn't buying. He tries to
>take Abi's head in his hands, but she stops him. Just because
>Blake lied to Ross, doesn't mean Rick had to lie to her.
>This is about the trust between a man and woman who love
>each other. "I trusted you. I gave you my heart. You were
>supposed to keep it safe, and you didn't." Abi wonders if
>she will ever be able to trust again. Rick says that the
>way she loves is so special, and he doesn't want her to
>lose that. Abi thinks she was naive and stupid. Rick tries
>the Blake in trouble excuse again. Abi wonders what about her;
>she is the woman he is supposed to be in love with. Why
>wasn't he trying to do the right thing by her? Rick says
>she is right. He had reasons for everything he did--he should
>have told her but he didn't. Surprisingly for a Goshen girl,
>Abi says that she is his equal; he was supposed to treat her
>like a partner. Rick mutters that Phil was right about the
>truth always coming out. Abi is upset that Rick confided in
>Phillip. Rick explains that Phil figured it out. Abi thinks
>that explains why he was so sweet to her the night of the
>engagement party. Abi demands to know who else knows.
>
>JOSH FINALLY ASKS WHAT IS GOING ON:
>Annie explains that Rev stopped by to explain why she didn't
>pick the kids up on time. Rev says she wanted to make sure
>the kids were ok. Santimonious Annirexic says that the kids
>are resiliant, but after all they have been thru she thinks
>they should keep their promises to them. She calls the kids.
>Marah runs to hug Momma, but Shayne is holding back. Reva
>tells them she's sorry but she had grownup business to take
>care of. She can spend the rest of the day with them. Josh
>mutters about homework, and Annie picks up on that. Maybe
>tomorrow. Reva says she will put on her brain cap and think
>of something special to do. Shayne seems ok with this by
>the time she leaves. Rev goes, and Annie has to prompt Josh
>to shut the door since he is hanging out looking at Reva.
>The kids are sent upstairs to do their homework. Annie doesn't
>miss the opportunity to point out how upset Shayne was about
>Rev standing them up. Josh says he's sure she would have been
>there if possible. Annie claims she isn't attacking her; she's
>just worried about the kids. AND IN A SURPRISING MOVE, since
>Ross seems to have relinquished the dumbest man since Joseph
>award, Josh tells Annie that he just ran into Margaret Sedwick
>at Cedars. Margaret doesn't even know that Annirexic is preggo.
>What's going on? Unfortunately, he forgets to mention that
>he knows Annie did not attend her AA meeting.
>
>HALFTIME
>
>Suddenly instead of GL, KPIX treats us to a screen that says
>CBS NEWS, San Francisco. There is silence for a few minutes,
>and we are again joined in progress. At least we missed all
>those commercials.
>
>MY LOVE WAS NOT A LIE:
>Abi is going on about how she shouldn't have left Goshen.
>She has been shunned by everyone she grew up with. She gave
>it all up for Rick. He was supposed to be the love of her life,
>and it's all a lie. Rick yells that it wasn't a lie. He
>tries to turn her around to face him. She flails at him,
>and tells him to stop it. "My love for you was not a lie!"
>says Dr. Rick. Blake and Kevin were lies, but not his love for
>Abi. All of a sudden, Rick demands to know where her engagement
>ring is. Abi points to the counter, and Rick reads her note.
>Rick begs her not to leave. Abi says she needs time and space
>to think. She can't be on his back doorstep watching him come
>and go. Rick thinks this is not such a bad idea; it would remind
>her of everything they had and could have. Abi says that the
>best thing for her is to get away and think about what she
>is going to do next. Rick keeps trying to touch her, but she
>always prevents it. Rick implores her not to "turn your back
>on us." Abi says she doesn't know if there is an us. Rick
>declares there will always be an us. Abi laughs bitterly.
>Rick wants her to take the ring. She refuses because it is
>a symbol of a promise to be his wife. She doesn't know if
>she can do that anymore. The phone rings, and Rick answers
>muttering that it might be about Kevin. I'm not sure if
>Abi caught that. It is Lillian who tells Rick that Blake is
>missing. Rick says she shouldn't be wandering in her condition.
>He has a hunch where she might be. Lil wants him to spill,
>so she can send someone. Rick says he will do it himself.
>He turns around and Abi is gone. He grabs his coat and leaves.
>
>GIVE ME JASON:
>Blake is examining Jason for bumps. Ross says that Jason
>didn't get much sleep last night. He wants to put him down
>for a nap. Blake wants to do it, but Ross orders her to give
>him Jason. Blake cries, but while they are gone she has the
>presence of mind to remove the bug from the phone. Ross
>returns and wants to call a cab. Her five minutes are over.
>Blake wants him to hear her out, but he has heard enough.
>Blake's actions have destroyed their lives. She had no
>excuse for sleeping with Rick, but that is how she has
>always solved her problems. She has reverted back to type.
>Blake tries to convince Ross that she has changed because
>she loves him, but he won't hear it. "Don't blame me. It's
>your fault that I have one son and one bastard. You, not
>me. Amanda could run down the street naked and I wouldn't
>give a damn. I told you a million times but you wouldn't
>listen." Blake tries to explain Mandy's agenda again, but
>Ross says he has had enough. Ross goes to the phone. Blake
>babbles about how her heart was in pieces that night and
>Rick was just bringing her home. She tells Ross she loves
>him and begs him not to turn his back. Ross stares. There
>is a knock at the door. Ross answers. It is Rick. Ross gives
>him the look that could kill.
>Rick says he is worried about Blake. Ross points to her,
>and tells him to take her back. Blake is sobbing. Rick
>tells Ross that Blake is recovering from an accident and
>he should take it easy. Ross sarcastically says that he
>thought they didn't care about each other. Why has he
>come scurrying after her? Dr. Prick says he cares about her
>as a patient and friend. Ross observes that his vocation
>comes in handy especially when delivering his son. Blake and
>Rick try to explain. Ross tells them to shut up; this is
>such a nightmare. "Do you think I can look at the two of you
>in my house knowing what you did in my bedroom? Knowing
>you lied to me for months on end, including that garbage
>about identical twins? You made my life a living hell."
>Turning on a sobbing Blake, he asks her how she could look
>in the mirror. He tells them to get out, and I think that
>he refers to Blake as a whore, altho it was hard to make out.
>Rick pulls a protesting Blake out the door. Ross is left
>alone staring stonily at the door.
>[Would anyone like to explain why the hell Dr. Prick found
>it necessary to go himself to the Marler abode to find Blake?
>What a putz. Why didn't he send Lillian?]
>
>YOU CAN FIND ANYTHING IN THE YELLOW PAGES:
>Josh questions Annie about why she didn't tell him she
>switched doctors. Annie tries to pass it off as not a big
>deal; after all he wasn't going to her appointments. Josh
>gives up and asks about the doc. Annie gushes that Dr.
>Kumar is great. Josh wonders how she found him. Annie says
>she found him in the yellow pages. She claims that was a
>joke, and Fran recommended him. He is a great doctor who
>has a baby wall. Josh wants to be included from now on.
>Annie thinks that will make the pregnancy more fun. Josh
>says he cares about "this child" as much as she does. He
>wants to hear the heartbeat and find out if it is a boy
>or girl. Annie murmurs that things are going better than
>she dreamed. She hugs him. Annirexic has now started wearing
>loose fitting tops, but she still doesn't look preggo to
>me. Come on Josh, buy a clue. You should have told Annie
>at Cross Creek that you wanted to see the results of the
>pregnancy test, and monitored her every move.
>
>MOD-REVABEND:
>Rev is telling Sarah's picture that she is getting close to
>finding her sister. There is a knock. In comes Abi,
>carrying her suitcase. She tells Reva that her world is
>falling apart. Rev wonders what is wrong. Abi says she
>can't stay at her apartment. Rev thinks everything seemed
>great last night. Abi is reluctant, but Rev promises to
>keep her secret. Abi tells her that Rick has confessed
>he is Kevin's father. Rev is lost; the babies are twins.
>Abi tells her the twins with two fathers story. Rick has
>lied--and she has agreed to marry him. Rev says she wishes
>she could take her pain away but only time will do that.
>Abi thinks time won't help her forget. Reva thinks it
>may help her forgive. Abi says she wants to but if she
>does, she doesn't know what will be left. Love, says Reva.
>Altho Abi doesn't want to hear it now, Rev thinks Rick is
>a good man. In an understatement, she tells Abi she has
>made many mistakes in her life. Abi thinks it couldn't
>have been something as big as this. [Oh boy, girlfriend,
>if only you knew what SF people do]. Abi cites Reva not
>wanting to live a lie with Buzz. Reva thinks that Rick
>may have been afraid to hurt her. Abi says she thought
>Rick was brave. Reva thinks he might be brave and
>courageous as a doctor, but as a man he might want to
>avoid confrontation and hurt. Abi thinks that keeping
>secrets only hurts more. Reva thinks that Rick was scared,
>knew he couldn't fix his mistake and wanted to postpone
>the pain. Reva isn't trying to excuse his actions; she
>only wants to help Abi understand. Abi shakes her head.
>
>CEDARS:
>Rick and Blake enter. Blake says her head is killing her.
>She gets Dr. Prick lecture no. 99. Blake says she had to try
>and make Ross undestand. Life is not worth living without
>him. Rick wants to explain why he had to tell Ross. Blake
>tells him she was on her way to Ross to tell him when
>the accident happened. Dr. Prick is relieved; he thinks
>this makes his actions ok. Blake cries that he has
>destroyed her life. Rick is clueless. Blake says she
>was going to Ross with her babies in her arms to beg
>his forgiveness. Instead Rick went behind her back. Rick
>whines that she was unconscious. It just came out when
>he was crazied about Kevin. After questioning, Blake finds
>out that only Lil and a few nurses knew. Ross didn't
>know before the operation. He makes lame excuses about
>why he had to tell Ross. He needed to be Kevin's father.
>Blake says that the second she woke up she knew. Ross
>had never looked at her with such cold anger and hurt.
>She cries that she wishes she were dead. Ross took Kevin
>from her arms. Rick says it just happened; it is raw and
>new. Besides, Dr. Prick says his life is in shambles.
>Abi has left him. Dr. Prick says it's not just about her;
>it's about a lot of people. Rick is not going to let her
>forget Kevin. She needs to pull herself together for his
>sake.
>After an ad, we find Blake back in bed. She tells Rick
>she hasn't forgotten Kevin. Rick tells her that the
>baby needs both of them. "Whatever it takes for my little
>boy, that's what I'm going to do." Blake says she agrees.
>She vows that she is going to do whatever it takes to
>put her family together again.
>
>MARLER NITEMARE NEST:
>Ross is carrying Jason and singing. "Go to sleep, little
>Jason. Don't you fret now, Daddy's here now, and he'll
>never go away." He sits in the rocker. "Ladiddi. Mama's
>gone far away."
>
>MOD-REVABEND:
>Abi doesn't want to talk anymore. She just wants to relax
>and try to think. Rev says she remembers about the big
>fights she had with Josh. Never mind, she says, and hugs
>her.
>
>LOWHAD:
>Annie is on the couch. Josh goes upstairs to check the kids.
>Annie replays Rev saying that family is all that matters.
>"If Reva wants her family so bad I will give it to her."
>She looks at the cameo. "Her sister is going to be the
>last person she'd ever expect."
>Closeup on a psychoAnnie grin.
>
>THE END
>
>CREDITS
>After the tell us what you think guy, the credits roll.
>We are back to Miller and Conforti as head writers.
>Rauch has changed the format, so the daily writers are
>in alphabetical order from Epstein to Segan. No more
>telling if it is a Pete T. Rich day. The director
>is Jo Anne Sedwick. There is no picture crawl for
>the actors anymore, supposedly since Rauch thinks it
>wastes time. I can't see that the name crawl is
>any shorter myself. Marj Dusay is still listed.
