Guiding Light Update
   Friday, Feb. 21

                by Viv

Buzz, Jenna, and the littlest Cooper arrive at the lighthouse. Buzz does a
Jerry Rice imitation as he runs the baby upstairs. Jenna thinks they should
have stayed elsewhere, but Buzz is comfortable and wants Jenna to impose
upon him. Just then Coop lets his presence be known and they happily run
to him.

Annie in white is talking to her new boss and partner in crime. Shes
going to research the cameo that Sarah gave Baby Shane, and they will send
Reva on a wild sister chase that will occupy her for a long time. Just
then, Josh comes in and she says the caller was an old girlfriend from
Chicago. Annie has a friend
who wants to remain friends with her? Josh is concerned that his wife
hasnt eaten much. She isnt hungry, but promises to eat a good lunch.
She plans to visit Blake and the twins, and is shocked to find out about
Blakes accident.

Abby is grieving but pretty in a yellow embroidered sweater as she writes
a note to Rick in the Bauer kitchen. She removes her engagement ring and
places it on the note, then loses her composure and begins to cry.

At the hospital, Rick is visiting the babies. He briefly stops by Jasons
crib, then rushes to Kevin. Coincidentally, the actor(ette) playing Kevin
babbles da da, which is either funny or awful because Ross walks in. He
is wearing surgical gloves. Is he here to visit his baby(ies) or perform
surgery on his former
friend? He is cold as ice and doesnt respond when Rick informs him that
Kevin is doing well after surgery. He is there to bring his son home and
wants Rick to sign the release papers. He hasnt seen Blake or told her
about it, and is in no mood to chat about it or anything else.

Josh explains the details of the accident to Annie, and she says she will
go right over to see Blake. Her doting hubby is worried that the stress
will affect her, but ever-ready Annie has an answer - shes a nurse, silly,
and is used to seeing hurt people. Besides, her non-existent AA meeting is
at the hospital and she can (not) go there at the same time. Shes so
happy that he cares so much about her.

Blake is lying in the hospital looking very unfashionable in a johnny
gown, no makeup, and a nasty looking cut/bruise on her forehead. But, if we
peeked under the covers, would we see the heels she wore when she brought
the twins home from the hospital? She is ringing her home, but Ross isnt
there to answer. We see a closeup of Blosss picture next to the phone,
and Blake tells God shes sorry.

Rick is trying to extract a little sympathy from Ross for Blake by telling
him that she hadnt slept all night and the medication they gave her didnt
even help. It doesnt work, and when asked why he didnt pick up the phone
all night, Ross replies that he was sleeping on a cot at the hospital. Ross
is full of anger and doesnt want to hear Ricks tips on healing the pain.
He tells Ross that Abigail has been told, and Ross says Rick has made a
mess of many lives. What would his dad think of him? Thats a sore spot
with the doc.

Jenna is chic in black turtleneck and leggings under a coral jacket
(perhaps shes working tonight). She and Buzz discuss little Henry. Buzz
thinks the little guy is very intelligent, and as he tells her all the cute
things hes done, she looks more and more in love with him. They joke
around until Buzz turns serious and he tells her that hes proud of her for
taking the baby. He wants to cook for her, but Jenna says that as soon as
Henry wakes up, they are leaving.

Lillian tells Ross that she will take the release papers to the cashier,
and Ross and Jason will be able to go home. Rick is there, and they have a
confrontation. Rick wants Ross to see Blake, but Ross wont hear anything
he has to say. He just wants to take Jason home. He bitterly tells Rick
that Kevin may forgive
him someday, but Ross never will, and Kevin will surely suffer because of
what his father has done.

Michelle walks in as Abby is gathering up her coat and suitcase. She wants
to know why Abby is leaving. Zachary tried to leave her without any
explanation, and she doesnt want that to happen with Abby, too. Abby says
that her relationship with Rick is over, but Michelle believes whatever has
happened can be
worked out. Rick would never knowingly hurt her. Abby cannot trust Rick
anymore. Michelle presses her about her values, not judging people, etc.
and Abby loses control. She knocks a bunch of engagement presents off the
counter in distress. She has no answers for Michelle, only questions about
her faith and her
ability to forgive. All she has is a terrible feeling that she doesnt know
how to deal with, and her beliefs have been replaced by ugliness and
darkness. Michelle tells her that the pain will eventually go away. Abby
thinks Michelle being lied to in that area, and Michelle is very hurt. She
says shes never heard Abby talk that way. Abby is completely disenchanted
with every aspect with her life. When Michelle asks what Rick has done to
her, Abby says that he woke her from her dream. She wants to be alone, so
Michelle leaves the room.

Rick talks tearfully to Kevin and tells him hes his dad and loves him.

At the Bloss home, Ross talks to his twin as well. Jason will get used to
being the only baby in the car, and having only daddy around. As Jason
rests in his playpen, Ross starts to fold clothes. He finds the sweatshirt
from the twins birth Im Kevin and Jasons Daddy and folds it.

Annie is trying to be friendly, but Blake doesnt seem happy at all to see
her. When Annie goes into her spiel about looking at Rosss files, Blake
refuses. Annie threatens, and Blake tells her know that Ross knows about
the twins. Annie is shocked, but its most likely because her mole is out
of business than
concern for her girlfriend. She wants to know how Ross found out, and is
not happy to hear that Blake admitted the truth herself. Blake finally has
grown a spine and lets her buddy have it. Annie doesnt give up easily, but
begins to realize shes beaten. Blake yells at her to get out.

Buzz brings his love coffee, and tells her that its okay that he put up
bail for her. Jenna knows that Jeffrey will find them sooner or later, but
is evasive when Buzz asks if hes dangerous. Buzz wants them to stay
together, and feels that they can handle anything Jeffrey dishes out. Jenna
wants to know why hes really doing all this for her.

Annie tries to tell Blake that her marriage is just as important as
Blakes, but the bump on her head has turned her from a kitten into a
tiger. She tells Annie that shes obsessed, first by booze, then pills,
then Josh. Shell destroy everything she loves. Annie goes into
obsessive-planning mode, trying to convince Blake that she can save her
marriage. But Blake screams at her to shut up, and that if she interferes,
shell make her life a living hell. She has nothing left to lose. Annie
asks her if she would tell Josh what shes been up to, and Blake coyly and
eerily replies that maybe she will, maybe she wont. Annie suddenly begins
to act as though shes talking to a black widow, and slinks out.

Buzz tells Jenna that he likes to rescue damsels in distress. She feels
lucky, but is only passing through. She starts to tell him theres
something he has to know, but theres a knock at the door. Its Frank the
detective, complete with trenchcoat (but no hat). He says its business,
and wants to talk to Jenna.
Jeffrey let the police know about Jenna violating bail. Buzz wants his son
to forget he saw her, but Frank doesnt trust the former cat burglar. Why
ever not, Frank? The baby starts to cry, and Jenna tells Frank that its
her son. Frank has been taking coolness lessons from Ross and is unmoved.
He escorts her out, with baby Coop calling mama from Buzzs arms. Another
budding actor less than 3 feet tall.

Poor Abby stares at her ring, then takes her coat and suitcase and opens
the door to leave. Rick is there.

Annie, undaunted by her visit with Blake, is at a jewelry store looking
for a cameo from the 50s. The clerk shows her a set and looks after
another customer. Annie places Sarahs picture next to one and says,
perfect.

Josh encounters Margaret Sedgwick at the hospital, and tells her he hoped
to see Annie after her AA meeting. Margaret says Annie wasnt there. When
Josh promises to attend Annies prenatal visits from now on, the doctor is
confused. She hasnt seen Annie in months, and didnt even know she was
pregnant. Her beeper goes off, and she has to leave. Lillian enters Blakes
room to find her missing.

Blake shuffles home in her hospital clothes, and is greeted at the door by
a frosty Ross.
