GUIDING LIGHT UPDATE
Tuesday, February 20, 1996

ANNIE'S APT.:
Rick insists he loves Annie and that she should tell Josh to get lost
before he hurts her. She's not too thrilled by his declarations.

CROSS CREEK:
Josh and Reva continue their Truth or Consequences showdown. She demands
to know how Josh felt when he learned she was still alive. When he doesn't
answer, she reminisces about how they once declared (at Cross Creek) that
their souls would be joined "always."

ED'S CABIN:
Amanda and Ross continue exchanging spit as a shocked and hurt Blake gets
an eyeful from the outside window.

ROLL LIGHTHOUSE:

CABIN:
Ramanda finally come up for air. She rambles on and on about how great it
was and what a fool she was to be afraid of a relationship with him years
ago. She continues with her regrets, but her point is that she wants more
and she wants it now.

ANNIE'S:
Annie insists that everything between her and Rick is over and that Josh
will be able to explain everything away tomorrow. Rick says don't kid
yourself--your marriage was over the minute Alexandra popped the video tape
into the VCR at her wedding.

CROSS CREEK:
Reva persists: what did you feel when you found out??? Josh finally
admits he was relieved, but he cautiously avoids admitting any other
feelings. Reva launches into one of her poor-me rant modes. Finally Josh
can't take it any more and screams what do you want Reva??? (Of course we
all know, and so does he, but this IOASO.)

MATTESSA'S BEDROOM:
Mattessa are cooing, billing and fondling when Blake strides in as if this
were a public thoroughfare.  Blake is devastated by what she has just seen;
Matt is angry she was stupid enough to follow Ross to the cabin; and
Vanessa seems confused. Finally Matt decides to ride off on his white
horse to "take care of business" and get even with Amanda.

CROSS CREEK:
Reva and Josh continue their remake of Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf. She
claims all she wants is honesty; he's sick of her word games; she repeats
her question: what did he feel? Finally he admits that he thanked God for
bringing her back.

ANNIE'S:
Rick and Annie continue their own psychodrama. Rick says she's not being
realistic--Reva never loses and Josh will never forget Reva just like he
will never forget Annie. Annie's sick of the Josh & Reva show (as are many
of the rest of us). Rick tries to get her to remember their early love and
although she claims otherwise she obviously remembers something because
they begin swapping spit.

CROSS CREEK:
Josh is uncomfortable with his most recent admissions so he decides to eat
some chili. They discuss the weather and the broken door latch until Josh
burns his finger on the stove. Reva tries to comfort him but he pulls
away.

ANNIE'S:
Annie pulls away, proclaiming her love for Josh and their recent wedding
vows. Rick still says she should cut her losses and come to him. They
argue; when she tells him that somewhere out there is a woman for him he
stomps out in disgust.

MATTESSA'S:
Vanessa tries to comfort Blake as she wallows in self-pity. Ross made her
feel worthwhile; really she's a cheap slut; she stole him from Holly and
now she's getting what she deserves. All is lost; I lassoed Ross with hot
sex and now I'm loosing him the same way. Oh, dear, murmurs Van.

CABIN:
More insipid Amanda drivel about how she wants sex from him now that she's
all grown up. She's willing to take one night with no promises and no
regrets. (Sure...) Ross, who must have taken a deadly overdose of stupid
pills, kisses her as Matt enters. Ramanda, expressing shock, guilt, fear,
and probably a lot more, ask Matt to leave. He says he came to tell them
what Blake saw (which should not be too much of a shock to Ramanda).

POOL HALL:
Blake is drinking heavily and hitting on two guys who are all over her.
She comes on like Ann Margaret, and finally she's too much even for these
goons so they leave. Across the room an angry Rick is playing pool with a
leather-clad skin head. The punk insults Blake (whom he has just witnessed
in action) calling her a bimbo. Rick comes to her defense, and the two
fight.

CROSS CREEK:
Reva returns with burn cream, but Josh wants ice instead. They argue about
how she's sorry she didn't go to nursing school like that Mutton woman so
she could learn all about ice. Josh wants to know why Reva was so
desperate to get Annie out of his house (translation: bed).

CABIN:
Ross, showing more stupidity than he has shown in at least a decade,
inquires why Blake didn't come in when she came to the cabin earlier? Matt
is speechless. Amanda rants at Matt; Matt says ok Amanda, now it's payback
time; and Ross, coming to about 5% of his senses announces that this is a
nightmare.

POOL HALL:
Blake is out of control; Rick fights with the skin head; Rick and Blake leave.

CROSS CREEK:
Reva says her lawyer was hired to get back her kids. But you control your
lawyer, Josh retorts. Reva admits she doesn't think Annie is a good role
model for her kids. Josh suddenly realizes this whole thing has nothing to
do with the kids--it's all about the two of them.

BLOSS'S HOUSE:
Rick and Blake arrive from the pool hall. She is impressed with his Rambo
techniques. As he starts to leave she begs him to stay--she can't be alone
tonight.

CABIN:
Matt to Amanda: I'm going to tell Ross who you are and what you did.

MATESSA'S BEDROOM /GRAND CENTRAL STATION:
Enter a distraught Annie. You were wrong Vanessa, Josh is with Reva at
Cross Creek. Annie wants to go and make it a threesome, but Vanessa says
no.

CROSS CREEK:
Josh presses Reva for the truth. Yes, she admits, she still loves him and
she wants him. They kiss as the frame freezes.
