Deep in the Springfield night...

LEWIS CONSTRUCTION

Amanda waits for Ross to find her locked in and tries not to turn
into a Fifi-sicle. But sacrifice and patience aren't her long suit. She
finds an electric screwdriver to remove the hinges from the door, so that
she can leave, get warm, and come back to be "rescued."

CARRIAGE HOUSE

Blake tells Ross she was cold all alone in her bedroom. "That's
because you weren't wearing your flannel jammies." :-)
She thinks her black negligee looks nicer. Ross agrees. She
persuades him to take a break from his work.

CEDARS HOSPITAL

Annie is shocked that Rick has said he loves her. She jumps to
the conclusion that he only said it because he's worried about her,
because he doens't think her relationship with Josh will last.

ALAN'S HOUSE

Alan is leaving Reva because she won't end the custody battle. He
thinks it's more about Josh than the kids.

---------------------ROLL LIGHTHOUSE!!!!!!-----------------------------

ALAN'S HOUSE

Reva reminds Alan that he promised he'd stick by her through
anything. He says he won't stand for this, though.
She claims not to care about Josh.
"Then why are you trying to force Annie out of his life?"
Josh has humiliated her and made her life miserable. Why would
she want him back? Alan claims she thrives on fighting with Josh, that
she's living in the past.
He gives her the ultimatum again -- the custody suit or him. She
says it's not that simple. She needs Alan. He claims she just needs his
money. That's not true-- he brought her back to her life, he's her
confidante, her best friend.
But he needs to know if that's all. Does she love him?

CEDARS

Annie tells Rick that Josh won't leave her, that he wouldn't let
her move out to make the custody battle easier. So Rick doesn't have to
worry about her or tell her he loves her just to make her feel better.
Rick says he told her the truth. He loves her.

LEWIS CONSTRUCTION

Amanda hides from the night watchman. When he finally goes away,
she finishes removing the door hinges and leaves.

CARRIAGE HOUSE

Ross and Blake make out on the couch and remember how insatiable
they were when they first got together.
Ross asks if Blake's using protection. "Of course. If you don't
want baby-making to be a part of love-making, neither do I."
"What I want is this night to be about us, with no pressures,
no worries. And taking our own sweet time and just indulge our selves."
Ross tells Blake not to move -- he'll be right back. He returns
from the bathroom with her diaphragm case. "You lied to me."

SOME ANONYMOUS, BUT FAIRLY NICE, BAR OR RESTAURANT

Dinah's drowning her sorrows. The waiter asks her if she'd
like some food.
"Yes. Put three olives in my next martini."
Amanda comes in. Dinah invites her to sit. Amanda orders a hot
Irish coffee.
Dinah toasts "To vermin. May a new species of giant man-eating
vermin envelope the Earth and devour every last living form of testosterone."
"Any particular form of testosterone in mind?"

well...
BUS STATION

Hart wants to buy a ticket to wherever $190 will take him.

LEWIS/DUTTON HOUSE

Josh tries to work. Tries to listen to music. Can't settle down
to do anything. He's impatient for Annie to get home.

ALAN'S HOUSE

Reva says she cares about Alan. It's not enough for him.
Her children are her priority. He should understand that. Look at
what's happened with AM. Alan lost $10 million and never once considered
abandoning his son. Alan thinks that's completely different.
Reva will never abandon her kids again. Alan claims he's not
asking her to. Just find a better way.
She won't give up on anything she can do to get her kids back. He
says they're through.

HALFTIME

ALAN'S HOUSE

Alan offers to let Reva keep the house. She tells him to forget
it -- she doesn't need anything from him.
"Just consider it severance pay. It's a hell of a lot better
than a piece of pie." She slaps him.
He leaves. She yells out that she doesn't need him or anyone
else. Then she sits down on the stairs and cries.

HOUSE OF LOWHAD (for now)

	Josh is asleep.
He's dreaming about a woman touching his face, holding his hand.
He assumes it's Annie and tells her how the first thing he fell in love
with about her were her beautiful, perfect hands.
Then he opens his eyes and sees that it's Reva. <Updater's cackle
of delight. And I'm not even a big Reva fan!>
	Josh: "It's you."
Reva: "It's always been me, Joshua. Always."

He wakes up, looking what concerned? confused? <All his
expressions look the same to me...>

TROUBLE IN BLOSS LAND

"So what's this?" Ross holds up Blake's diaphragm case.
"Would you believe it's a spare?"
Blake thought that since Ross has been so uptight about having a
baby it would be better if he didn't know. Ross responds that he's not
the one who's been "manic" about. Doesn't he have any say in whether or
not they conceive?
She claims that she listened to him but he didn't always listen
back. Ross thinks that Dr. Sedgwick was right. They need to take some time.
Time for what? To find something wrong in ther marriage?
Since when was something wrong in their marriage? Ross wants to know.
She wants him to want her. She says she's trying to protect herself.
	From what?
	Amanda.

THE BAR

Amanda tells Dinah there are still a few good men left.
	Name one.
	Your father.
Dinah grudgingly agrees. "Daddy never lies. He always chooses
right over wrong. He helps the helpless. He forgives people he loves. Ok.
I'll allow you Ross Marler."
"Thanks. I think your stepmother might have something to say
about that, though."
Dinah thinks Blake is no match for Amanda. She knows that Amanda
wants Ross. Amanda claims she's not interested, but Dinah knows that's
bull. "If you can unseat the Henna-head, without hurting my father of
course, more power to you."

MEANWHILE, BACK AT THE CARRIAGE HOUSE

"What'll it take to get you to stop this nonsense about Amanda?"
Blake insists that having Amanda around is a real problem. Ross
says again that he loves her, not Amanda. He's tired of having to prove
it. He wnats Blake to see a therapist to deal with her paranoia. He
doesn't think Amanda is the problem. Was Amanda here when blake lied to
him? Was she in the bathroom when Blake decided not to use her diaphragm?
Blake says Amanda is everywhere, invading every corner of their lives.

The phone rings. It's Josh. He wants to reiterate to Ross that no
matter how bad the hearing goes, he's not giving up Annie. <Feelin' much
guilt there, Bud?>

Blake:"Josh won't give up Annie, will he?"
Ross: "He loves her too much to lose her."
	Blake:"That's what I want."
Ross: "That's what I thought we had."
	Blake:"We did. Until Amanda came."

He tells her that until she believes him about Amanda, there's
nothing more he can say. She tells him he can sleep on the couch.

CEDARS

Annie and Rick are joking around. Alan interrupts and wants to
speak with annie alone. He tells her that he and Reva broke up. He warns
her again that Reva's lawyer is going after Annie. He says Reva wants
Josh and that Annie has to make sure Reva doesn't get him.

ALAN'S (OR IS IT THE NEW, IMPROVED REVABEND?)

Reva's on the phone with Dylan. She tells him that he doesn't
have to come home, that she's ok and she loves him.
After they hang up, she tells herself again that she doesn't need
Alan or anybody else.
Hawk comes to the door. He admits that he doesn't have a place to
stay. The frined he was staying with threw him out because he fell asleep
on the sofa and set it on fire with his cigar.
Reva suggests that he go back to Sarah. He admits that she threw
him out because of his gambling debts. Reva invites Hawk to stay with
her. She tells him that Alan isn't living there anymore. Hawk's thrilled,
because he thinks that's one step closer to getting back together with
Josh. Reva doesn't want to hear that from him.

CEDARS

Annie tells Alan that Reva won't win. Everything will be fine.
After Alan leaves, Rick tries to comfort Annie. She leaves.

THE BAR

Dinah orders another round. Amanda gets ready to leave. She asks
Dinah not to mention that she was there. Dinah agrees. Amanda takes
Dinah's keys so she won't drive home, and promises to return them tomorrow.

BUS STATION

Last bus for the coast is leaving. Hart is just sitting and
thinking about what everyone has said about him inthe last 24 hours --
Dinah, Bridget, Roger.

MUSICAL MONTAGE
(to a song probably called "Without Love" about how bleak
life without, you guessed it, love)

Amanda sealing herself back in at Lewis Construction.
Ross lying on the couch.
Blake in the bedroom wrapped in a quilt.
Dinah alone at the bar.
Hart tearing up his bus ticket and leaving the station.
Rick staring at Annie's signature on a form.
Annie outside the door of her house.
Josh inside staring at the fire.
Annie crying against the outside of the door.
Alan wandering the docks.
Reva sitting on the stairs, drinking a glass of wine.

Well, that's all she wrote, folks.

(I mean that literally. The episode was written by Sharon Epstein.
She's new and man, are they working her tail off! She's written the
last two episodes and at least one other in the past week. Guess Mct gave
everybody else the month off.)

See you in two weeks!
