MATT AND VANESSA'S BIG ADVENTURE:
Matt shows up to take Vanessa away on a mystery trip that
requires warm clothing.

Vanessa comes downstairs completely bundled up in a parka and
multiple scarves. She and Matt take off.

Matt tries to light a fire on the beach as Vanessa acts like
she's going to turn into a pillar of ice. Vanessa is afraid that
she and Matt are going to discover that they aren't right for
each other because he likes cold, frigid nights on the beach and
she likes nice warm rooms with fireplaces. Matt has her look up
and they breathlessly stargaze. (At a sheet of black paper with
holes punched in it. ;| ). Matt and Vanessa wax poetic and act
all lovey dovey (sorry, I'm having a hard time paying attention
to this story line, and today isn't helping!). They talk some
about what the stars are telling them, blah, blah, blah. Matt
then warms Vanessa up by planting a few kisses on her.

Matt admits to Vanessa that he's been to the beach before with
another woman, named "Cassiopeia." He gives her a mini astronomy
lesson while he recounts some of his life story as it relates to
stargazing. Vanessa listens and makes Matt promise to never
leave her. Matt goes on some more, then decides he talks too
much and that Vanessa will think he's just a dreamer like Josh
does. Vanessa and Matt discuss how Josh used to be like Matt
before he lost Reva. Matt reveals to Vanessa a big surprise he
brought along. It is two Mexican bracelets he got a couple of
years ago. He puts one on Vanessa and the other on himself (gee,
didn't we used to do this in Junior High? Are they "going
together" now?? ;)).

Matt and Vanessa continue to cuddle by the beach. They decide
they want to stay longer.

LUCY LETS LOOSE, & JOSH JOSHES:

Lucy prepares for an evening out by herself, as Bridget provides
support and fashion advice.

Lucy babbles on about nothing. Bridget asks if she had a bad
day. Bridget hits the nail on the head by suggesting it is not
working out with her working for A-M. Lucy vows to not let A-M
and her feelings get in the way of her career. Lucy is going out
alone because she told A-M she had a date to get out of going to
the party in his honor. She invites Bridget to go along with her
to play pool.

In a pool hall, Lucy and Bridget, dressed to their "biker" best,
look for a table. Two sleazos challenge the girls to a game of
pool.

Bridget and Lucy try to get out of the game while the guys paw
all over them. Cutter comes to the rescue, who notes the sleazos
are in violation of their parole by being out so late. The
sleazos take off to go back to their halfway house. Bridget
decides she wants to go home but Lucy refuses. She's sick and
tired of men trying to control her life and calling all the
shots. She's sick of playing innocent and helpless and always
having to be rescued. Bridget really wants to go, and suggests
Lucy come along since Bridget drove. Lucy gets bitchy and
refuses. After she calms down, Lucy reasserts her independence
from men, and it is OK for Bridget to leave her. Bridget leaves
her and she propositions Cutter for a game of pool and buys him a
beer. Later, Josh and Annie show up and play a doubles game with
Lucy and Cutter. (BTW, Josh is wearing the baggy, colorful pants
that Annie gave him). Lucy tries to disrupt Josh's turn, and
Annie tries to direct his shots. Cutter and Lucy flirt, though
he reminds her that she's Frank's kid sister, however, he notes
he won't be nervous to meet her family. Lucy's turn, and she
runs the table as Cutter watches admiringly. When she wins, she
and Cutter share a lingering hug. Lucy and Cutter cut out, and
Josh and Annie decide to play truth or dare pool. Josh acts like
he doesn't know what the rack is.

Josh runs the table, pretending he's never done it before. Annie
guesses she's been hustled. Josh sunk 8 balls, so he gets 8
questions he gets to ask. He asks her favorite color (red), food
(swordfish), flower (forget-me-nots or shamrocks), movie ("Gone
With the Wind" and "For Whom the Bell Tolls"), brothers and
sisters (one of each), marriages (one--she doesn't want to talk
about it. My guess is Rick :)). Outside, Lucy cools off by
exposing her halter top. She comes on to Cutter, and plants a
big kiss on him. He responds and she breaks it off, apologizes
and takes off. Back inside, Josh apologizes to Annie for
upsetting her by asking about her marriage. She says she
overreacted. She wants to pretend they're meeting each other for
the first time.

FRANKIE'S BIG SALE AND ALAN-MICHAEL'S GOOD DEED:

A-M pours his heart out to the bartender at the Country Club. A-M is
really fed up with the party thrown in his honor. He tells
the bartender that money isn't all it's cracked up to be.

Frank stares at his reflection in the diner's door and sees a
reflection of Eleni instead. He wants to go after her in Crete,
despite Buzz's objections. He-man Frankie decides that even
though Eleni is with family, she shouldn't be alone in Crete.
(You know, this sexist pig routine is getting really old...)

Frank tries to sell some of his diner equipment to raise money to
go to Crete. A-M comes in for a cup of coffee, and sees Frank is
in trouble of some sort.

Frank tells A-M that his problem is none of A-M's business. A-M
can't understand why the Coopers still hold such a grudge against
him when Eleni is with Frank. Buzz reminds A-M of the way he
treated Lucy, and expresses concern that Lucy is now working for
A-M. A-M says Lucy is working "with" him, but Buzz doesn't buy
the play on words. Buzz puts him on notice that "Big Daddy"
(Buzz) will be watching him. A-M tells Buzz to chill out since
Lucy is on a date right now.

Frank continues to try to sell his van, but has no luck. Buzz
fills A-M in on Eleni being in Crete, and Frank not having the
money to be with her. A-M overhears Frank and Buzz discussing
their financial woes, and calls someone whom he tells to create
an investigating job for Frank with $1000-1500 up front. After
he hangs up, he asks himself why he's doing this, and decides he
owes the guy.

Frank is excited back at the Diner because he just got a
detective job that pays cash up-front. Frank thinks it's a
miracle, and rushes out to meet the guy. Buzz looks at A-M's
empty seat and coffee cup, thinks for a bit, then says "Nah!"

Frank comes back with a huge wad of cash. Buzz is on the phone
with the airlines, booking him a flight.

IT'S THE BEGINNING OF THE END OF ELENI:

In Crete, Eleni writes her family a letter telling them how much
she misses them. A strange older man sneaks in and observes her.
Eleni yells for whoever is there to show themselves. It is
someone she knows (I think she called him Hermes, but I couldn't
really tell). He looks like a grizzled old sailor. She begs him
to help her. She asks him to take her to Cristo's island. He
acts scared, but she pleads with him.

Eleni finishes her letter and leaves it on the table when she
leaves after convincing the old sailor to take her to Cristo's
island.

That's it!
