Highlights:
- Roger gets information from Van
- Matt won't the help the Spauldings
- Hart and Dinah fight
- Rick and Abby state their feelings for each other

The Convent in Lucerne
Van recognizes Roger's voice. Van wants to know how Rog found her, and he
said it was hard work. Van demands that Rog come closer and he realizes
that she is blind. Van demands to know if something is wrong with Matt or
her children. Rog just wants to talk to her, and wants to know if
there's something he can do. Van wants Rog to go away and forget he's seen
her. Rog wants to know why Van lied to everyone about her car crash. Van says
it's her business. Rog says that now that he is there, it's his business too.

The Spaulding Mansion
Phillip enters the study, and Alan is glad he came by. Phillip hopes the
request
was important because he left a lot of work behind at Spaulding. Alan
needs Phillip's advice on how to approach Amanda about cutting ties with
Roger. Phillip thinks that Alan is lying, because the first thing out of
Alan's mouth is always a lie. Phillip is about to leave when Alan stops him,
saying it's not a lie, it's part of the truth. Phillip wants to know what
Alan wants from him. Alan wants Phillip to help him lock in the *secret
weapon* to destroy Amanda, as we hear a knock at the door. Phillip wants to
know what the secret weapon is ; Alan tells him to open the door and find
out. Phillip opens the door and Matt enters.

Cedars
Abby looks up from a file and Rick is staring at her from across the room
(in scrubs). Rick apologizes again for this morning, and they step over each
others words: Abby saying it's o.k. and Rick apologizing. Blake comes
around the corner with the twins and sees Rick and Abby talking. Abby points
out Blake and the babies, and Rick immediately runs over and picks up Kevin.

The Jessup farm
Hart hears Jean-Luc profess his love for Dinah on the porch. Hart bursts out
to find JeanLuc kissing Dinah, breaks them up and punches JeanLuc. Dinah
screams at Hart - what are you, crazy?

LIGHTHOUSE ROLL

Spaulding Mansion

Matt throws his coat over the exercise equipment. Matt wants to know what
he's doing there, and Phillip says that Alan made the call. Alan gives Matt
his sympathies about Vannessa and wants to know how Matt is holding up. Alan
says he's never gotten used to loss, and is sure that plenty of people are
telling Matt to get on with his life. Matt says people tell him lots of
things, most of which make sense unlike Alan. Alan honored and
respected what Matt and Van had and that Matt must feel a great sense of
loss. Matt gets angry and wants to know where Alan is going with the whole
thing. Phillip wants to know too. Matt says that Alan was against his
relationship with Van from the beginning. Alan is sorry he gave that
impression. Matt wants to know if Alan called him over to apologize when
Phillip realizes what Alan is after. Phillip states that Matt is the trustee
for Van's estate, and as such owns 250,000 shares of Spaulding stock.
Phillip puts his hands on Alan's shoulders and says, "that's the reason that
Matt's here, isn't it?"

The Convent
Van insists that Roger can't tell anyone, and that she wanted to spare her
family. Rog says Van's family would want to help see her through her
illness. Van doesn't want her family to know because they would be
there watching her die a little bit everyday. Van can bear her own
pain, but she can't bear her family's pain. Rog puts his hand on Van's
shoulder and asks if there is no hope. Van tells him to take his hands off
and not to touch her. Van asks Rog if he can see her hands and legs. Rog
says yes. Van says she can't see them and can barely feel them; if
Matt were there she wouldn't be able to see his face or feel his touch, she
wouldn't be able to hold Dinah's hand or hug her sons. Rog says he is sorry.
Van doesn't want his pity; she doesn't want her family to suffer or pity
her. She explains to Rog that that's the reason she staged her death. Van
wants Rog to tell her that whatever he wants is not so important that he
would make her family suffer. Van insists that Rog make her believe that
Maureen was right about him. Van says that no matter what Rog did over the
years, that Maureen always told her there was something good about Rog. Rog
looks ashamed. Van asks Rog to promise not to tell for Maureen's sake.
After a brief pause Rog says he will help Van and not tell, if she will help
him.

The Jessup farm
JeanLucs lip is bleeding. Dinah yells at Hart for swinging at JeanLuc
without know what was going on. Dinah leads JeanLuc back into the house,
yelling that JeanLuc is bleeding. Hart says he just split JeanLuc's lip,
but he could do much better! Hart says he wants all Dinah's French friends
out of his house right now. Dinah says she's not going to make her friends
leave just because Hart told her to.

Cedars
Rick is cooing with Kevin while Abby smiles and Blake looks on warily. Abby
steps away to look over a chart with a nurse. Blake tells Rick he needs to be
more careful and that Abby will get suspicious if he keeps getting so
excited when Kevin is around. Blake tells Rick he needs to act like a
doctor and Kevin's godfather. Blake says she doesn't want Abby and Ross to
find out. Blake is terrified that she will "wake some night at 2
in the morning and find a broken heart where Ross used to be." Rick puts the
baby back in the double stroller and tells Blake to calm down. Rick
acknowledges
Jason. Blake asks if Rick and Abby were fighting, and he says no. Blake
says sometimes Rick can "be such a man", and that if he's not careful he's
going to mess everything up. Rick says everything is fine with Abby. Blake
thinks that Rick needs her help. Blake says that if Rick isn't careful he's
going to spend the rest of his life making up excuses to be with Kevin
whenever Blake and the twins show up. Rick tells Blake she has had too much
coffee. Blake insists that Rick needs her help and that she is going to
speak to Abby. Grandma Barbara is having a prescription filled, so Blake
will send the twins home with Grandma so she can have girl talk with Abby. Blake
insists that Rick will thank her at his wedding. Blake asks Rick to trust
him and he agrees. Blake goes over and pulls Abby away saying that they
need to talk.

The Jessup farm
Hart is still angry that JeanLuc just told Dinah he loved her. Dinah says
that Hart didn't hear everything; JeanLuc was just telling her how he felt
in Europe. Hart isn't buying it. JeanLuc says there was a time that Dinah
longed to hear how much he loved her. Hart doesn't want to hear what JeanLuc
has to say. Dinah says that this is about old unresolved issues with
JeanLuc, and maybe Hart would have known that if he "hadn't come bursting in
like the Marine Corp and attacked!" Hart is tired of Dinah and
JeanLuc "taking strolls down memory lane, while you take digs at me in
French, Spanish and Italian." Hart is tired of being hospitable and
wants them to go. Dinah insists that JeanLuc just says what's on his mind,
and that JeanLuc knows that Dinah loves Hart. Hart isn't going to
put up with playing host to a guy who's trying to take his fiancee to bed.
JeanLuc says he didn't mean to cause a problem and that he has one last
thing to say to Dinah.

The Spaulding mansion
Amanda is listening outside the door as Alan apologizes to Matt for
Phillip's impatience. Phillip insists that he is just better at getting to
the point. Phillip says his father want's to know which way Matt will jump
if Rog/Amanda try to get control of the company. Alan knows exactly which
way Van would vote if she were still alive, and Matt insists that "Vanessa
is more alive than he'll ever be."

The Convent
Van laughs sarcastically that Rog will help her if she helps him. "There's
always
got to something in it for you!" Rog wonders if that's so terrible, and Van
thinks it
might be. Van has known Roger all her life and still doesn't know who he is.
Van can't
think of how many times she wished Billy had succeeded in killing Rog. Rog's
compassion
seems to disappear. Then, Van remembers seeing Rog with Peter and feeling
his love
for Peter and wonders who Rog really is. Rog doesn't think anyone can be
easily defined
in one sentence.; he has compassion and goals; Van thinks Rog always has to
have it
both ways, but Rog doesn't think the two are mutually exclusive. Rog intends
to keep
Van's secret, but he just wants a little information. Van would rather see
Rog dead
than help him get Dinah back. Rog says it's not about Dinah, then realizes
Van is tiring and
appears to be leaving. Van wonders what it is and Rog says it's about the
Spauldings.
Van points out that Matt controls the stock and that it is in trust for her
sons. Rog isn't after
stock, and what he wants isn't in Van's portfolio but is much more valuable.

HALFTIME

The Convent
Rog is going after Spaulding and will succeed this time. Van doesn't think
he's learned anything,
but Rog saw it all from the inside when he was married to Alex. Rog can't
figure out why
Alan always backed down from Alex; Alex must have a trump card and he thinks Van
knows what it is. Van won't help Rog hurt Alex. Rog doesn't want to hurt
Alex, he
just wants to know what information she has. Van refuses to take sides, and Rog
points out that is a little late for ethics; Van has convinced SF and the
world that she
is dead, and all he wants is a little info to upend the Spauldings. Van
agrees to tell.

The Spaulding Mansion
Matt won't help Alan, and doesn't care who wins. He is just going to see
that Van's kids
get their due. Phillip points out that if Rog/Amanda take over the trust
fund won't be
worth much. Matt will worry about when the time comes and storms out
(without the coat
he tossed onto the exercise equipment). Phillip sarcastically tells Alan he
handled the
situation "real well", then Phillip and Alan exit for lunch.

Matt comes back for his coat and Amanda follows him in.

The Jessup Farm
JeanLuc goes on about how great Dinah was, and Hart continues to argue.
JeanLuc gets
in Hart's face and tells him that Dinah has changed. JeanLuc thinks the real
Dinah
has been buried for a man who "only cares for his horses and not his woman".
JeanLuc
hopes Dinah realizes it before it's too late. JeanLuc storms off to pack his
things. Dinah
goes off to the kitchen in disgust.

Cedars Lounge (a new one, with sofas, not the locker lounge)
Abby hopes there is nothing wrong with the twins, but Blake wants to talk
about Rick and
Abby. Blake wonders if Abby loves Rick, but Abby uses love to talk about
God and parents.
Abby has trouble describing how she feels about Rick (confused and
frightened). Blake
encourages Abby; Abby breathlessly tries to describe her confusion, thinks
she may
be sinful and wonders if it is love.. Blake asks if it feels sinful, and
Abby thinks it is wonderful. Blake encourages Abby
that she has a great gift and she should hang on, even if it is the fight of
her life. Blake
tells Abby to stay while she goes to get *someone*.

The Jessup Farm
Dinah comes down the stairs. Hart is petulantly sitting on the sofa in front
of the fire.
Hart wonders if JeanLuc is right about him smothering Dinah, and if they are
so different.
Dinah is sure they care about the same things, but that she also cares about
other things, and
that they're no so very different. Hart doesn't want to bury Dinah , just
to love her, and she
agrees that he does. Hart just wants things to be the way they were.
Dinah tells Hart she
loves him, as Hart wonders how they got to this point. Dinah says they don't
have to
figure it out right now. Hart scoops Dinah up and they head upstairs.

The Convent
Van tells Rog something that Henry told her. Alex took files that were her
"insurance policy"
and the files were powerful enough to bury Spaulding. Alex hid the files
somewhere at
the mansion or grounds and made sure Alan would never find them, although
the files
were "as close as the nose on his face". Van again demands that Rog keep
his promise, and
he gives his word of honor.

Cedars Lounge
Abby is waiting and Rick sees here through the mini-blinds. Abby seems
surprised to
see Rick. Rick wonders what Blake and Abby were talking about and Abby says
it was
about men and women. Rick tries to explain how he feels; Abby tries to
explain how she
feels. They stumble over each others words some more, but keep agreeing
with each
other. They agree they can't breathe around each other. Rick can't
explain what
he wants to say and Abby asks him to sign it. Rick signs (complete silence
with
cameras on only his hands) I love you. Abby then says, "I love you" out loud.
Rabby holds hands and look into each others eyes.

The Spaulding Mansion
Amanda is still wheedling Matt. Matt gets his coat and is heading out. He
doesn't
care about Spaulding wars. Amanda isn't surprised, but hopes that she and
Rog can
count on Matt's support. Matt reminds Amanda that Van hated Rog; Matt would
rather
"eat a hand full of nails than dishonor that woman by supporting that man in
anything."
Amanda suddenly wonders if anyone has known the love that Matt and Van had;
she envies
Matt.

The Jessup Farm
Dinah/Hart afterglow.....Dinah can't remember what they fought about. Hart -
how different we are.
Dinah - "I say vive la difference!" Hart thinks of how great it will be to
see the reactions of
Dinahs friends when she tells them to leave. Dinah never said she would do
that, and Hart
tries to point out that she will, and why she has to. Hart wonders if she
understands why she has
to. Dinah looks pensive and insecure.

The Spaulding Mansion
Matt can't believe Amanda loves Rog. Amanda insists that she does, but it's
not like
Matt/Van, but could be someday. Re-enter Phillip and Alan. Matt tells Amanda
that if
she really wants what she says she wants she'll get out. Alan wonders what
Matt
meant. Phillip gives the merger papers to Amanda and Alan claims nothing will
ever change Amanda.

Cedars Lounge
Rick and Abby kiss. Another doctor opens the door, but they don't notice.
The doctor
walks away smiling.

The Convent
Rog wonders if there's anything else he can do, and Van only wants him to
keep his
promise. Rog reassures Van that she has his word and leaves. The nun
returns and asks
if Van is ready to travel. Van says she is too tired, and the nun thinks
the man who
visited caused it. Van confirms, and when the nun asks who he was, Van says,
"Sometimes, I think he's the devil himself......"
