This Monday, after no shows on Thursday and Friday, in "the city":

Tony's moving in. Danny can't beleive how much stuff he has. They
get into a verbal match. Jocelyn tells them enough! She slams the
radio off. If she doesn't figure this out, they'll all be on the
street tomorrow.

In the building, Zoe sees Richard and she tells him he hung up
on her! He said he had other problems. He's out of a job! Richard
leaves her standing there.

In the park, Sydney is paying chess, and she loses her queen.

At a table somewhere, Nick's agent is talking to him about a
Golden Oldies tour. Nick wants to do his new stuff.

Check, Sydney says. You're slipping, Leonard says, making a move.
Checkmate, she says. Pay up, she adds. You take food stamps? he asks.
In your dreams, she replies.

Zoe runs after Richard. If she doesn't stop following him, Richard
says, he'll call the dog pound and have her put to sleep. Why did
he get fired? she asks. He ticked off his boss, Richard says. Zoe
offers to talk to him, she's really good about that sort of thing.
It's not a him, it's a her, Richard says. And no, it wouldn't help.

Marty (Nick's agent), wants to be honest with him. He doesn't need
this crap, Marty says, he was lucky to get this gig for him. He's
got a reputation, the agent continues, the drugs, the booze, the
mayor's daughter in Minneapolis. That's the old Nick, this is the
new Nick. They're the same Nick, Marty says. Nick wants to do his
new stuff. Marty says they may be fine, but no one will be paying
$40 a ticket to hear them. They want to hear the old stuff. Nick
says that he wrote those songs in the 70s. Yeah, Marty says, and
he probably paid more in taxes that year than he's made since. Nick
says he just wants the 10%, what difference does it make? Sure,
Marty says, he can buy a lot on the 50 cents Nick sends. Marty
says they're talking 6 figures here, and he thinks Nick needs the
money. Nick says that he has a couple of gigs lined up. It's not
Carnige Hall, but you have restart somewhere, Nick says as he gets
up and leaves.

Near the park bench, Sydney is on the cellular phone. She says
that Jared will approve. She finishes up the call. Leonard wants a
rematch. He won't lose a second time. Set 'em up, she says. No,
wait, she says, as she sees Richard coming up the sidewalk.
Raincheck? she asks. He doesn't hear any thunder. He will, she
says, as she leaves.

Danny asks Jocelyn if she found any loopholes. Just pot holes, she
says. Tony comes over with pictures. Where did you get them, Danny
asks. In the dresser; You said I could have a drawer, Tony says.
Danny tells him to stay out of his stuff! Steffi calls Tony up to
the loft. They laugh about all the stuff Danny has for his hair.
Bernardo brings in stuff that's heavy. Those are his weights, Tony
says. Tony says he likes to work out. Danny says he supposes the
bike is next. Bernardo says he'll bring the bike up next. Danny
wants Tony to pick up all this stuff. he doesn't like a mess.
Jocelyn laughs. Seems Danny is very meticulous, he irons his
socks. Well, Danny says, they're cotton and they wrinkle! Steffi
laughs and tells the story about how when she asked Tony for his
iron, he gave her the car keys. tony says he was *sure* she meant
the tire iron.

Richard, catching up to Sydney, asks if she wants to know about the
overnight ratings for yesterday's show. Down two points she says. So,
she does care, he says. He tells her that there is a public outrage,
and if he doesn't get back on the air, he feels the show will go
under. Richard says besides, the host and the story was terrible.
She says he wrote it. Oh, Richard says, she knows that? Sydney is
distracted by the music that is playing in the background, seems it
reminds her of someone or something (coincidense...I think not).

The movers bring in a desk. What is this? Well, tony says, he may
have forgotten to mention that he has a detective agency, too. Gee,
Bernardo says, and it was just sitting on the subway platform,
unused. Tony tells Danny he'll pay more for the extra space. Tony
says he wishes Alex were here. Danny says he's not the only one,
as he looks to Jocelyn. Bernardo asks who "Alex" is. Just the best
detective in Corinth, Tony says. Tony wonders if he can get a phone,
a cellular would be nice. Bernardo says he'll see what he can do.
Jocelyn says they may as well pack up. She can't find a way around it.

Richard asks if she is paying attention to him. No, she says. Sydney
tells her driver to make an anonymous donation to the musician, the
music reminds her of a song she used to love. Richard says that she's
gonna give $100 to a bum? No, to a musician, Sydney says. Richard,
trying to get back on the topic, says it is not like her to let a
personal grudge get in the way of her usually good business sense.
Gee, Sydney says, was that a complement? She tells him okay, he has
his job back, and, Richard, she says, she accepts his appology. He
thanks "Mommy" and runs off, happy. Zoe is hiding behind a tree and
says "Mom? Wow" and she runs off after Richard.

Steffi brings in $20 worth of Moo Goo Gai Pan. As they're eating it,
Steffi offers Jocelyn the other room in her loft. Jocelyn says Steffi
should ask Ally, first. But, if it's okay with Ally, they have another
roommate. But, gee, Jocelyn says, now she's being evicted, too. Danny
offers to help her out. Who does he have to talk to? Tony is on the
phone with his mother; Yes, here. No problem. Have Uncle Guito handle
it. He hangs up and tells Steffi that they're having dinner with his
family this weekend. Good, she says. The whole family, he says.
Good, she says. She's cooking, Tony says. NO way! Way. His mother
wants to find out if she can make the gravy. Not the real stuff,
the red stuff. Can they get it out of a can? She offers to get those
slice and bake cookies. Tony laughs. She wants him to cook. No, that
would be cheating. She's pregnant! Steffi says. Maybe that's why
she can't find her way around a kitchen, Tony jokes. No, did he tell
his family that he's dating a pregnant woman? They'll love her, Tony
says. Found it! Jocelyn says. The loophole? Steffi asks. She adds
does this mean they're not gonna be evicted? Steffi asks. They're
still being evicted, Jocelyn says, but they don't have to leave!

Zoe catches up with Richard and teases him about losing his job from
his *mother*. He said he got her mad. Zoe teases him some more.
Meanwhile, the driver gives Nick the money and then returns to Sydney
who says she'd love to stay and listen, but she just doesn't have the
time she used to have. She gets into the limo and rolls up the window,
keeping her eye on Nick.
