Today in "the city":

Ally wants Steffi to get ready for work, she knows Tess is not
gonna be happy after last night. Tony says Hi, as he's getting
dressed.

THe red/pink haired girl (Zoe) is being arrested for stealing a
dress. Seems the store owner saw the society page, and there she
is, in a dress, at Sydney Chase's party! If they'll call her
husband, she offers...he's a TV reporter...Richard Wilkins...

(switch to the agency)

...is Sydney's son. Can you believe it? Tess asks Jocelyn. Jocelyn
says she's gald Tess called. They talk about the eviction notices.

At the bar, Buck is upset that the goons wrecked the place. This
is no way to start a business, plus, they got evicted last night.
Jacob is laughing. So, you think this is funny? buck is not amused.

Angie is rereading her letter with the test results.

Jacob tells Buck to calm down. He's gonna sit over here, Jacob
says. When Buck's back to normal, let him know. Buck says he's on
edge. He's not the only oen with problems, Jacob says. How is
Angie? Buck asks. She's okay, Jacob says, as okay as anyone would
be who had an 8-year old stick a gun in her face. Jacob thinks he
pushed Angie to come here. Buck says no one pushes Angie. If she
wasn't ready to be here, she wouldn't have come. Jacob says that
he has to go see Angie, he promised to met her. Can he handle the
rest of the cleanup? Sure, Buck says.

Zoe calls Richard, who is not sympathetic. He gave her $500,
Richard says, and she stole the dress? She tells her "hubby" to
come on down to the station and bail her out. He tells her to use
the $500 to hire a lawyer. He hangs up on her. She continues the
call, saying she loves him, too and she'll see him soon. She tells
the cop she has a dehydration problem, she needs to drink lots of
water. He shows her the bubbler. No, he doesn't understand, Zoe
says. She did that part, now she has to go to the little girl's
room.

Ally tells Steffi and Tony that Sydney is wonderful, the party
was wonderful, and she gave them all parting gifts. Wonderful
little trinkers in Tymphiny (sp) boxes. Wow, Tony says, classy
place. Yeah, Ally says, eviction notices. No! tony says. Ally
continues, seems Richard is Sydney's son and she thinks he had
no right to lease this place to them. Tony goes out to find
Richard and to talk to him about fixing this little
misunderstanding up. Ally sits on the bed and tells Steffi she
wants the details...all the details. She smiles at Steffi.

Jocelyn tells Tess she wants to drop this crucade to crush Sydney
Chase and talk about the lease. Can she do that? Tess asks. Well,
Jocelyn says, not usually, but...she's Sydney Chase, Tess says.
She must have found a loophole, Jocelyn sighs. Jocelyn leaves to
work on it. Danny comes in and kisses his sister and says the
legal eagles are here. The secretary asks Tess if she should
order the office supplies. Yes, Tess says, why not? Well, what
with the notice, she thought...Tess says she doesn't pay her
to think! Tess calls for a quick staff meeting and tells them
they may have heard the rumors about eviction...Danny says she
doesn have a way with the words. Okay, so it's not a rumor. But,
they're not licked yet. She needs them to give 100% for this
campaign, cause this is how they get more jobs, which means more
money, and a continuation of their jobs. So, it's business as
usual. No one moves. Get back to work! Tess yells. Tess asks her
secretary to get Hot Line on the phone. Tony comes in and says
Richard isn't taking their calls. He's gonna go over there and
talk to Richard in person. Tess tells Danny to go with him.
Danny says eviction is no big deal, he can find somewhere else
to live. Well, if the agency goes down, so does his JOB! Oh,
now Danny sees the logic in going with Tony. Danny and Tony leave.

Steffi tells Ally about the dinner and the sex. It was great. And
Tony used the L word. He wanted to keep the lights on, and she
didn't, but he said he wanted to see how beautiful she was. So,
they compromised, they had candles, Steffi says. Ally says she's
so tense. That's cause she misses Tyler. She says she almost did
something stupid. She almost...Danny. Oh, Ally, Steffi sighs. She
called Cooper last night. She talked to Tyler. It was nice. Ally
changes the subject and tells her about this garden behind the
rusted old gate. How did you find it? Steffi asks. An old lady
showed her where it was. It was beautiful. Funny thing, she went
by there tonight, and she couldn't find it again.

Tony and Danny go to the Hot Line set and physically pick up
Richard and cart him off.

At a restraunt, Angie is watching some kids sing Happy Birthday.
Jacob comes up and kisses her. He tells her that he's had a bad
time lately. He tells her that they got evicted, and the thugs
trashed the place. She grabs his arm and tells him that kids are
such a precious gift. How could any mother abandon a child like
that? She asks him if, after David died, if he ever wanted another
child. Sure, he says, but he'd have to find the perfect woman. If
they were married, she says, would he want children? Of course, he
says. She gets up and leaves the restraunt. Wait, he calls after
her, leaving to catch up with her.

Buck is still leaning up. Tess comes in bubbling, she's got a
surprise for him, she sings. He's had enough for surprises. Tony
and Danny bring in Richard. They're gonna talk about leases and
loopholes. Danny wants someone to get the rope. Richard is hoping
they're kidding.

At the station, the cop gives the store owner her dress back,
seems Zoe folded it up nice and neat and left it in the ladies'
room. Where is the body that was in it? the owner asks. She slipped
away, the cop says. Must have wrapped herself in towels, he adds.
Zoe struts through the park, and gets all sorts of looks. She's
dressed in her slip.

Tess, Buck, Tony, Danny, Ally, and Steffi grill Richard. They want
to know why he did it. He didn't sign the eviction notices. No,
Tess says, but his *MOTHER* did. Richard is surpried that they
know about that. Oh, yeah, Steffi says, that reminds her and she
dumps fruit on him with the crowd cheering her on. What's that for?
Richard asks. He lied to her, he said his parents were killed
in a car accident. They were! He's adopted, he says. Well, Tess
says, there is justice. Someone like Sydney getting someone like
him. Richard finally admits that he did it to get back at his
mother, like a practical joke. Well, that won't cut it, Buck says.
Tess sits down on a bar stool and tells Richard that he better
listen up, there is something aht she wants him to do for them.

Jacob catches up to Angie. She hands him the letter. Chemo? he
says. If he stays with her, she says, he'll have to go through
all that, and he'll have to give up his dream; she can't have
any more kids. Jacob hugs her as she starts to cry.
