				LOVing Update
			    Tuesday, November 15th, 1994

Today's episode finds us with 23 storylines:

In the hospital with Clay, Deborah, Steffi, Cabot and Isabelle
In the warehouse	with Jeremy and Ava
At Trucker's with Dinah Lee, Trucker, Jeremy and Alex

[In the hospital]

Replay of Monday's scene where Clay realizes his legs are paralyzed.
(Editor's note: how many men in Corinth *haven't* been paralyzed? Boy
this is a well used plot line on LOV.) He's despondent and kicks
everyone out of his room. Isabelle and Cabot are distraught out in the
waiting room and Deborah let's 'em have it. Isabelle tells Deborah to
leave, and Deborah lays into her saying it's not *her* fault Clay's in
there, it's *theirs*! Isabelle is outraged, but Deborah's on a roll.
She says if they hadn't taken everything away from Clay he wouldn't have
fought back and wouldn't be laying in a hospital bed. Cabot drags a
sputtering Isabelle away.

Steffi has overheard this and congratulates her mother on a brilliant
performance. Steffi and Deborah look like hell. Both have huge smudges
of mascara running all over their faces. Reminds me of the old General
Hospital days when Laura cried every day with huge black streaks running
down her face. But back to here and now. Steffi has on an oversized
jacket and her hair is hastily pulled back with strands falling in her
face as usual. Deborah can't understand why Steffi is behaving this way.
Steffi accuses Deborah of driving the car! She tells her Cooper has been
arrested, and Steffi has to help him. Deborah tells her it was Clay who
fingered Cooper as the driver. Steffi doesn't believe it and tries to go
in and see Clay. The doctor asks Clay if he wants to see her and he says
he won't see anyone as he stares brokenly off into space. Steffi is left
standing outside his room, gazing at him through the blinds.

Steffi talks to Isabelle. She tells them that Cooper has been arrested.
Isabelle hugs her and says she can't believe all of this. She doesn't
tell her that it was Clay who accused Cooper. Cabot leaves them alone
because he wants to see Clay before they go to the jail to see Cooper.
Isabelle comforts Steffi, telling her Cooper loves her. Steffi cries and
tells her about the pictures Clay showed her of Cooper having an affair
with her mother! Isabelle assures her Cooper loves her and wouldn't do
that. Steffi says she just doesn't know what happened for sure. She
also tells Isabelle that Cooper proposed, and wanted to run away - had
money and passports ready before he was hauled away by the police. Just
then Deborah walks up and tries to talk to Steffi. Isabelle hauls Steffi
up and tells Deborah to go away ... But she's my daughter! ... You don't
deserve this girl! ... and Isabelle leads a shaken Steffi away.

Meanwhile inside Clay's room, Cabot enters quietly. Seems Deborah's
ranting has sunk in. He walks over to Clay's bed and sits down. Clay
sarcastically wonders why he hasn't run to Cooper's side yet? Cabot
takes Clay's hand and tells him ... Clay, I'm sorry about all that has
happened. I truly - - - care for you ... and the scene fades with Clay
not responding ....

[In the warehouse]

Jeremy and Ava are a cozy chained couple at the warehouse. They discuss
how Ava misses the kids, and how Ava is sure Alex will realize she's in
trouble and won't believe the letter which Gilbert made her write. She
wants to do something to get out of there. Jeremy smiles as he paints
the last picture in his TWIN series. He tells her about the hidden
message, and they hope Dinah Lee figures it out.

Jeremy tells Ava that IF Dinah Lee or Alex don't figure things out that
it will be up to her! Gilbert loves her and she will have to use that
emotion to get them out of here ...

[At Trucker's]

Dinah Lee and Trucker enter the Tides. Dinah Lee is studying the three
paintings in Jeremy's series. She rattles off a description to Trucker
about how artists use series of paintings to relay a message, now apart
they are meaningless, but together not. Trucker is amazed! She spoke
two whole sentences without stuttering. Finally, we get to see how this
girl can act and she doesn't seem so bad now! Trucker wants her to
simply ask Jeremy what the meaning is - but she says she *can't* do that.
Instead of explaining her fears about Jeremy to Trucker, she instead
tells him that it would take the fun out of it, she wants to figure it
out herself.

Meanwhile, Gilbert and Alex are outside the hallway of the penthouse when
Alex is reading the note from Ava. He stares at Gilbert and asks ...
Where is she? ... I don't know ... Gilbert tells Alex to leave her alone
and give her time since that's what she wants. (Wait, Jeremy/Gilbert
didn't read the note so how does he know what it says? Wonder how long
it'll be till Alex realizes that?) Alex tells Gilbert/Jeremy to leave
and he storms into the penthouse. He picks up a picture of Ava and
wonders what's going on.

Gilbert next shows up at the Tides with the next painting in the group
saying there are five all together and she should have the last one in a
few days. Knock at the door and it's Alex wondering if Trucker has time
to go to lunch and talk. Trucker invites him in and Alex isn't thrilled
to see Jeremy/Gilbert. ... Ah, looks it's the man who likes to give me
advice on my marriage ... Dinah Lee asks if he needs advice? Alex tells
her about the little misunderstanding they had and that Ava has
mysteriously left. Dinah Lee thinks that's not like ava, Alex concurs,
Dinah Lee says he should go find her, Alex concurs ... But Jeremy here
says I should leave her alone ... (Gilbert) yes, that's my advice ... I
have some advice for *you* - Don't give me advice ... and the scene
fades. ...

[One year ago]

It was Tess day in Corinth. Steffi had a photo shoot in Burnell's.
Casey isn't the photographer, but is there. He talks to Ally and tells
her he doesn't love Steffi (even though they're living together), Steffi
overhears and is crushed. Tess steps up and says she's Steffi's manager.

Next Tess goes to the mansion where Gwyn and Clay are being guarded by
FBI agents. Gwyn is worried about a missing Curtis. Tess tells her she
slept wiht Clay, Gwyn could care less. They tell her she was fired from
Alden Enterprises because of her past with Curtis, not Clay. They give
her a check to pay her off, which she takes and storms out.

Mystery man Joe (Dante) is working at Pins. He has flashbacks to his
wedding day and we see that it was to Tess. Dante places a menacing
phone call to Clay, threatening his family. Trucker is suspicous.

That's it for Tuesday! (On time!)
