				LOVing Update
			    Tuesday, November 1st, 1994

Today's episode finds us with 2 storylines:

The Bed with Ally, Cooper and Casey
Stuck in Bed with Gwyn, Clay and Steffi
Closer to the Bed	with Alex, Ava and Gilbert

[The Bed]

Casey comes home with Tyler's new youth bed to a surprised Ally. Cooper
is visiting and is puzzled how Casey came up with the money to buy the
bed that Ally had her heart set upon, when just yesterday he said they
couldn't afford it. Casey admits to subletting his Loft to Tess. Ally
is concerned that he did that, knowing how much the Loft means to him,
but Casey tells her that she and Tyler are what's important. Ignoring
Cooper's offer of help, Casey trots upstairs to assemble Tyler's new bed.

Alone with Ally, Cooper mentions his fears of Casey being involved with
drugs. Ally wonders why he's trying to ruin her happiness? Cooper
shares his belief that happiness doesn't last, he's always waiting for
the other shoe to drop, you just can't be *this* happy all the time.
Ally says she most certainly can! She wonders is this really isn't about
Cooper and Steffi instead of her and Casey. Cooper tells her that he
fears Clay is laying in wait for he and Steffi to fall apart. Cooper
leaves.

Casey returns downstairs and the two share a tender moment. All is lovey
dovey until the phone rings. It's Lisa from the office informing Casey
that he's needed to redo some important work for a client the next day.
Casey reluctantly leaves, but not before he kisses Ally and mutters the
fateful words ... I knew this was too good to last ... Ally is left
sitting alone on the floor contemplating Cooper's soulful comment and
Casey's parting parable.

[Stuck in Bed]

Gwyn is in the hospital, dressed in a pretty peach nightgown devoid of
makeup and looking quite realistic. Clay is with her. Steffi comes to
visit with cards from the Agency. She tries to leave quickly and
gracefully, but Clay begs her to stay while Gwyn gives him disapproving
looks. Steffi tries to leave. Gwyn's nurse comes to get her for a
stroll down the corrider for excercise.

Clay seizes the opportunity to corner Steffi. She is strong and tells
him to leave her alone. Clay bad mouths Cooper. Steffi defends Cooper.
But Clay is able to plant some seeds of doubt. Steffi ends up running to
the bathroom out in the hall. Gwyn reenters the room in time to see Clay
harrassing Steffi and tells Clay to leave the girl alone.

Clay rushes out to follow Steffi. She comes out of the bathroom looking
terrible. Clay guesses that she just got sick. Steffi starts to cry and
Clay offers her his shoulder, which she accepts. Cooper enters the
hallway carrying a huge boquet of flowers for Gwyn and witnesses the
tender moment between the old lovers ...

[Closer to the Bed]

The dinner party for the designers is in full swing at Jeremy's house
when Alex enters swinging at Gilbert. A fight between Ava and Alex
ensues, which effectively ruins the dinner party. Alex huffs out. The
designers leave, too. Ava can't understand what's wrong with Alex, and
of course Gilbert fuels the fire. He gets Ava thinking that Alex doesn't
trust her, doesn't believe in her, etc. Ava grabs her coat and purse and
leaves, saying she needs time to think.

Gilbert follows her. Ava is sitting in her car, gazing out the window
when Gilbert jumps in, scaring her to death. Gilbert furthers his cause
by casting doubts about Alex's behavior, and Ava falls into the trap, and
into his arms as she cries about Alex. Gilbert hugs her, pats her back
and gives a triumphant look into the night ...

[One year ago]

Baby Vochek is born, Shana is deleriously happy, Angie has concerns about
the baby, to which Shana is blissfully ignorant - but Leo knows.
Tess has a talk with Jeremy and consoles him about the loss of Ava to
Alex. ... Oh wait, here's a funny line about Tess's talk with Jeremy ...
She also tells him that being a secretary is pretty boring but she needs
to do something else. When he asks if she's had any experience she
tells him she's had a lifetime experience. She was married, but it
didn't work out. When she left him she couldn't even write a check.
She wants to change all that. (I forsee a little forshadowing here
for her ex-hubby to return.) ... How right, Dante!! Trucker and Dinah
Lee kindle their budding relationship at the video store. Both are
renting videos (Dinah Lee has her dog Fred with her) and having take out
for dinner, Dinah Lee hasn't divorced Curtis yet.
