Welcome to the Friday, October 14, 1994 Loving Update!

Bob is flying to Seattle this weekend for a football game. He said he
would wave as he flew over Portland. :-) Hi, Bob!

Burnell's

Ava is on the phone in the background. Deborah comes rushing up to one of
the sales women and wants her opinion on lingerie, the pink or the black,
which one is sexier? Ava says that Deborah has about as much chance of
affording them as she will finding a man to see her in them. Steffi comes
in just in time to hear Deborah say that she has a man.

Gwyn's apartment

Curtis comes in. He sees Gwyn, Clay, and the back of a priest. He blurts
out that he thought he and the good father had spoken in confidence. The
priest turns around. It's not the priest that Curtis talked to. Gwyn
wants to know what Curtis was consulting a priest about.

Casey and Ally's house

Cooper arrives. He is there to see Tyler. Ally goes up to get Tyler.
Casey hands his dessert to Cooper to finish. He's heading back to work.
Cooper wants to talk to Casey about Mike. Cooper tells Casey that Mike
deals drugs and that he thought Casey should know that. Casey does a
good innocent act, but then clues in that Cooper thinks he may be
involved in drugs.

Opening credits.

Burnell's

Ava makes sure that Deborah will have to pay cash. Steffi follows Deborah
into the dressing room to find out who "the man" is. Deborah explains,
in pure Deborah fashion and she and Clay have feelings for each other.
That "they are one". Steffi is silent.

Ava is still out on the floor, Kate gets off the elevator. Ava wants to know
what Kate is doing there. Kate is shopping, what is Ava doing there, it's
supposed to be her night off. Ava says she got an emergency call. Kate
says emergencies are only life-or-death. Ava says it was life-or-death,
the life-or-death of Burnell's, and she can't risk it. Kate asks her
if she can risk her husband?

Gwyn's apartment

Curtis tells Gwyn, Clay and Father Everhardt(?) that he has been getting
spiritual advice from Father Matchet(?). He didn't want them to know since
they've always gone to Father Everhardt's church. They are glad that he
is seeking help. He tells them that he is now seeing his therapist every
day and that he has things under control. He now realizes that Jeremy
is a victim, that he has been taking out Dante's abuse on Jeremy. His
therapist is helping him channel that in a different direction which is
why he contacted Father Matchet. Clay tells Curtis that if he ever
needs anything......

Commercials.

Casey and Ally's house

Cooper says that he doesn't think that Casey is doing drugs, he just
thought Casey should be aware of Mike's "other career". He is worried
that if Casey is hanging out with Mike, he might get arrested along with
Mike. Casey gets very defensive and accuses Cooper of being his father.
Cooper says he's not Casey's father, but he is Tyler's father. Casey
wants to know what that has to do with anything. Cooper is just worried
about Mike hanging around the house. Casey tells Cooper to stay out of his
life and storms out the door.

Ally comes in carrying Tyler. She wants to know what's going on.

Burnell's

Steffi and Deborah, take 1,459. Steffi knew that it was Clay, and she
appreciates Deborah not rubbing her nose in it. She is worried about
Deborah. She knows how Clay works, and he is just using Deborah. Deborah
says some hateful things to Steffi and tells her to go away. Deborah
disappears into the dressing room. Steffi yells after her, "Fine, just fine!"

Ava, getting back to Kate after dealing with another problem, "I don't
have to choose between my husband and my job. I can have it all." Kate
is worried that Ava is going to lose Alex....again. Ava says that her
marriage is solid. Kate wishes that Cabot had never given Ava the store.
Ava says that she earned it. Kate tells her that no one on their death
bed ever wishes they's spent more time at work, especially if they are
alone. Exit Kate. Ava's wheels are turning.....

Gwyn's apartment

Curtis excuses himself to go back the The Rodeo. He and Father Everhardt
leave. Gwyn and Clay discuss Curtis. Clay tells Gwyn that she's a great
mother, always there for Curtis - unconditionally. Gwyn sympathizes about
what Cabot has done to Clay. She wonders if the Alden's will ever be
happy. Clay picks up a photo album and reminisces about the past. Gwyn
says that she's relatively happy, but every relationship has its ups and
downs. Clay says he hopes they work it out. The single life isn't
everything it's cut out to be. He comes across a picture of Cooper and
Ally. Clay insists that Steffi is going to come back to him. He takes
the picture out of the photo album and puts it in his pocket. Gwyn tells
him that he's dreaming. He says that he's a doer, not a dreamer. Clay
leaves. Gwyn just shakes her head.

Commercials.

Casey and Ally's

Cooper is playing with Tyler. Ally wants to know what's going on between
Cooper and Casey. Cooper says that Casey just blew up at him. He is
concerned about Casey and Ally. Ally says that Casey used to be like that
all the time, she wouldn't know what set him off, but they had a talk
about his moods, and he's been more up than ever since then. Cooper looks
unhappy. Ally wants to know what's wrong with that? Cooper asks Ally
if she's ever wondered if Casey might be doing drugs.

Burnell's

Steffi goes into the dressing room. She apologizes to her mother. She
says she's not trying to be cruel, just realistic. Deborah says that
she is realistic enough for both of them. Look in the mirror. Deborah
knows that she's not as young or pretty as she used to be. Steffi tells
her that she's beautiful. Deborah doesn't think she's pretty enough for
Clay Alden. Steffi wants her to try on a red number. Chiffon. It's a
good color for Deborah. They are having fun. It looks wonderful. Steffi
tells her that she should buy this one. Deborah looks at the price tag
and then says that she thinks it makes her a little "hippy". Steffi
says that she looks fabulous in it. Deborah tells Steffi that she left
her checkbook at home. Steffi offers to buy the outfit.

Ava offers to walk out with Kate. Kate says, not if you have work. Ava
says that she is leaving and not to look so surprised. She tells Kate
that Kate made her realize something -- the store will still be there
tomorrow, but this night with her husband will only come once. They hug.
The phone rings, it's for Ava. Kate leaves. It's Jeremy on the phone.
Ava wants to know how important it is.....she always has time to discuss
business......

In an alley

Mike is waiting with an envelope. Clay arrives. Mike tells them that they
were hot. Clay hands Mike the picture of Cooper. He wants Mike to make
Cooper and Deborah look hot.

Gwyn's apartment

Curtis comes in. Gwyn is heading out to have dinner with some clients.
Gwyn leaves. Curtis pulls out a crucifix, a bottle of holy water, and
a Bible(?). "Now just in case God can't help me save Jeremy's soul from
Dante....." Curtis walks over to the phone and calls Ron, an old friend.
He's calling in an old favor. "You think you can get your hands on a gun?"
