Subject: LOV: Update for Wednesday, Sept. 28, 1994
Status: R

It's Wednesday. The duo of Debs...Debbie and deb...are here.

At Seffi's apartment, Cooper wants to talk to Steffi. He is worried
about her, she looked so sick last night. She calls from the other
side of the door and tells him to go away. He threatens her with
getting security to open the door so he can check on her. She opens
the door, and he asks, what's wrong with you?

Trucker bought some art supplies for Dinah Lee. Angie thinks that
Jeremy will bring everything. Dinah Lee asks what time it is. After
8. Well, where's Jeremy? Good question, Angie says.

Alex brings Ava's briefcase to her office. She thanks him. Ava isn't
paying absolute attention to him, she's trying to work. He tells her
that the kids have Monday and Tuesday off, he wants to plan a
trip. She says yeah, okay. He calls the police station and Ava puts on
a perfume sample and waves the paper under his nose trying to get him
to notice. Alex sneezes, twice. Ava appologizes for not spending
enough quality time with him and the kids. Alex tells her it's okay,
he expected it. JillBear comes in and tells them that if she thinks she's
busy now, wait until she works with HIM!

Ava tells JillBear's early. Alex asks what he meant by the remark.
JillBear says because of the ad agency, he'll be working odd hours, so
they'll be working together at all hours. Alex asks if he can have her
for holidays. Yeah, JillBear says. Alex leaves. JillBear complements
Ava's perfume. She says it's a new shipment from Paris. he says she
should get it by the gallon. She would, but they can't afford the
inventory. JillBear offers to talk about it over breakfast, at a
little place not far from here. Ava vetos the idea, saying they have
to work. JillBear tells her she has changed. She used to be carefree.
Ava says does he really think she's changed? Yeah, JillBear says. He
has one more question...does she have any cream cheese?

Steffi tells Cooper that he has the flu. He wonders why she has all
this junk food around. He is worried about her, she wants him to
leave. He tells her to call if she needs anything. She agrees. He
tells her to get some sleep. Cooper leaves. She calls for room
service. Cooper starts to go back to Steffi's room, but he stops
before knocking again and he leaves.

Deborah tells Clay that he should make the diner a success, Cabot gave
him a second chance.

Then my boss walks into the office (I thought I had trained these people :-()
So, Debbie filled in...

Deborah informs Cabot and Isabelle about the changes at the Bistro.
Cabot is happy to see Clay doing honest hard work. Clay tells them to
cut the crap. This is punishment, Clay says. Cabot gave it to him to
humiliate him. Cabot tries to deny this. Clay tells Cabot that Cabot
wishes he had never been born. Cabot says you're my son. I am NOT your
son, says Clay, you know it, she knows it, I know it. I am not your
son and it is not my fault.

THANKS, Debbie. The boss is gone, and I come back to commercials :-)

Clay says he is done arguing about. Elsewhere in the diner, Isabelle
says she assumes Deborah heard. Isabelle'll write a check. Is $25,000
enough? For WHAT? Deborah says. For her silence, Isabelle says.
Deborah says don't be silly. You have feelings for him, don't you,
Isabelle asks. Well, yeah, Deborah agrees. Meanwhile, Clay and Cabot
argue. Clay says that Cabot couldn't deal with Isabelle getting
pregnant by another man, so he took it out on the son. They scream and
yell at each other. Isabelle tells Cabot that Clay is right. If he
wants to be mad, she says, be mad at her! Cabot tells her that he has
almost forgotten. Has he? Isabelle asks. No, Cabot says, but she has
proven her love and loyality. Cabot tells Clay that he is his legal
son, he gave Clay his name. Which, Clay says, he has mostly taken
away. The only thing left is Steffi. She's all he has left. Cabot says
the diner is his second chance.

There is a knock on Steffi's door. It's about time, she says. It's
Cooper and Angie. Angie asks some questions. Cooper asks if she knows
what's wrong. Yeah, she has an idea, Angie says. Steffi says she has
the FLU! She leaves. Angie tells him to let her go. Cooper wants to
know what is wrong with Steffi.

JillBear goes to Trucker's. Trucker wants to know what art-therapy
is. Well, JillBear says, it's a form of therapy that uses, ahhh...art,
in a form of what is called....ahhh...art-therapy. He wants to work
with clay. Trucker says Dinah Lee had her heart set on painting. She
hates the feeling of the clay under her fingers (ed. note or her under
Clay's fingers...sorry, couldn't resist!). Sorry, JillBear says, he
didn't bring any painting supplies. That's okay, Trucker says, he
bought a bunch of stuff yesterday. Coffee? Trucker asks. We could
paint that, JillBear says. No, do you want some? Oh, yeah, JillBear
says. He tells Dinah Lee to paint. Paint what? Dinah Lee
syas. ANYTHING. JillBear tells her to PAINT! Don't stare at him,
JillBEAR says, just PAINT.

Angie says that Steffi was in the hospital before. Cooper remembers.
She says she thought Clay was going to get Steffi some help for
this. Cooper asks what's wrong. Angie tells Cooper that Steffi is
bulemic.

Cabot tells Clay that Clay doesn't love Steffi. Clay yells that of
course not, he learned love from HIM! How COULD he love anyone? Cabot
says Steffi belongs with Cooper. Clay gave Cooper eveything, he's not
giving him Steffi, too! Steffi is listening.

Alex comes back in. He has a present for Ava. It's the perfume she had
the smaple of. But, Ava says, we don't stock that. He went to the
competition and bought it. Oh, and she thought the honeymoon was
over. Alex tells her she knows how that word effects him. HONEY...Ava
says...MOON. They kiss.

Trucker comes in and asks how JillBeqar wants his coffee, black or
with cream. JillBear says he has to leave. He has a 10:30,
appointment. He tells them to have Dinah Lee draw and he'll check back
in a couple of days. JillBear leaves and Dinah Lee tells Trucker she's
scared. Trucker says she just doesn't remember JillBear. That's just
it, she DOES remember JillBear.
