				LOVing Update
			    Tuesday, September 27th, 1994

Today's episode finds us with 3 storylines:

Le Bop with Buck and Tess
Le Fake with JillBear and Curtis
Le Bistro with Ally, Cooper, Casey, Steffi, Clay and Deborah

[Le Bop]

It's about to start storming at Beldon Pond where Tess and Buck are
laying on a blanket watching the storm. Buck is drunk. Tess is
determined to get him to sleep with her. She's all over him, whispering
encouraging love words. He pulls back and says he doesn't think it's a
good idea. She doesn't want him to think, doesn't he want her? She begs
him to love her, with very provacative dialog, but he removes himself
from the embrace and calls a halt to the lovemaking. Tess is dejected.

When we rejoin them, Tess is seated alone on the blanket wearing Buck's
denim jacket over her clothes. She notices the storm passed them by.
Buck returns wearing jeans, socks and a white tank top and his head
dripping wet ... There's nothing like some cold water to sober you up ...
Tess wishes tonight hadn't happened. Buck explains that he didn't want
her like that, when he'd been drinking so much and was drunk. She thinks
he didn't want her at all, but he tells her that he does.

They talk about their pain. He wonders how she handles hers? She keeps
it inside and doesn't let anyone know she's in pain. He says his eats
him alive. It's all his fault that Janie died, but somehow he's got to
find a way to forgive himself. Tess tells him about her old high school
boyfriend, the insensitive jock, whom she thought loved her. She tells
yet another person about this guy bringing his friends with him one night
(which makes me wonder why she's told TWO people this story in a few
days, will this high school guy come to Corinth?). Buck tells her that
he was an insensitive jock in high school so he understands, he never did
anything like that but he can believe that some other guy did.

Tess berates herself for being an emotional wreck tonight, Buck tells her
that maybe that's what tonight was all about - healing their pain. She
tries to be buddies again and lightens the mood by telling him ... OK, so
we're outta here ... he looks into her eyes and asks ... Are we? ... Buck
reaches over and kisses Tess. She eagerly kisses him back. And true to
Buck's form, now that HE is in control they fall hungrily onto the
blanket to share the night together.

[Le Fake]

We open this scene with a replay of yesterday's ending. Curtis is in
Jeremy's house, it's dark and storming outside, the lights are off and
he's found Jeremy's strong box on a coffee table. He opens it and
extracts the old black and white picture of Jeremy and Gilbert as boys.
Just before he gets to look at the back, JillBear sneaks up behind him
with a fireplace poker poised to crack over Curtis's head. Curtis looks
up in time and shrinks to the floor yelling ... DON'T!!

JillBear acts surprised to realize it's Curtis and not some robber.
Curtis isn't buying the act and JillBear threatens to kill Curtis. After
all no one would blame him, the house is dark, and he came upon a robber
and used the poker to defend himself. Curtis wonders who he really is,
because he's certainly not the Jeremy he trusted! Curtis finally gets a
backbone and grabs the poker from JillBear, and tells him that he will
not be freightened anymore; that he will protect himself and his family!
He stalks towards the door.

JillBear gets an inspiration and grabs his head in pain, starts moaning
and falls to the couch. Curtis wonders what kind of trick this is?
JillBear admits there has been a change in him, and blames it on ... a
brain tumor! Curtis is reeled in and believes this story. Curtis urges
him to tell Gwyn but JillBear gets violent again and pins him to the
fireplace threatens him. He has kept Curtis's dirty little secrets now
it's time for Curtis to keep his. JillBear says the pain drives him mad.
Curtis leaves. JillBear cuts the act the moment he shuts the door.
Laughs, sits on the couch and says ... A brain tumor! Ha! You should be
so lucky Jeremy ...

[Le Bistro]

Ally and Cooper have decided to go out to dinner since Casey is working
and she got a sitter for Tyler. Cooper takes her to Le Bistro. It's
empty. Deborah is flitting around carrying loaves of french bread. The
waitress is sitting at a table, looking silly dressed in a french
costume. Deborah wants her to do *something*, so hands her blue and
white plaid napkins to fold. She rolls her eyes and complies.

Cooper teases Deborah, and Deborah seats them. Ally wonders why Cooper
brought her here? Cooper says because the food's good. Ally thinks it's
because he had good times with Steffi here that he wanted to come back.
Right on cue, Steffi enters wearing a pretty black print, long flowing
dress with heels. She's got her hair pulled back from her face - but
still has that stray strand dangling in her face!

Steffi doesn't notice them at first. She's trying to get her mother's
attention. Then Clay enters. He goes straight for the cash register,
opens it, and bellows when he finds no money. Deborah is antagonistic
and tells him there is no money! She wants him to *work*! He wants the
money. They fight: running around the Bistro, calling each other names,
chasing one another, and totally ignoring Steffi.

Ally tells Cooper that he should go over and tell Steffi how he feels
about her. Cooper insists that he already has to no avail. Cooper
admits that he's crazy about Steffi. Ally says he's telling the wrong
person. Ally notices that Steffi is about opposites. She says she's
happy with Clay but it's obvious she isn't. She's just trying to get back at
her Mom for stealing him in the first place. So when she tells Cooper to
go away, she really wants him to save her!

Under protest of feeling extremely foolish, and having no plan, Cooper
gets up from the table to try to talk to Steffi. Steffi is unresponsive
and tells Cooper to leave her alone. He suggests they leave and go
somewhere to talk. IN the background we see and hear Clay and Deborah
fighting. The waitress even interjects that they are "perfect" for each
other. Cooper leaves Steffi and goes back to the table with Ally.

Clay and Deborah come in screeching from the kitchen. Steffi tells Clay
that she has money so they can leave. Deborah says he's not going
anywhere, he's to stay there and pitch in. Clay wants the money.
Deborah says she hid it! Somewhere he'll never think to look, and she
turns up the collar of her yellow suit. Clay eyes her, and she says ...
YOu wouldn't dare! ... Clay takes off after her as she shrieks and runs
away. This leaves Steffi staring after them looking ill. She runs to
the bathroom.

Inside the bathroom, she enters a stall, closes the door and starts to
cough. Outside, Cooper goes to the door and looks uncertainly at Ally.
She urges him to follow Steffi. He enters the bathroom and we all hear
the end of her being sick. He's very concerned. Steffi stumbles out of
the stall and notices Cooper. He says she's sick and he wants to help
her. She reacts violently and tells him not to feel sorry for her! She
tells him to leave her alone, she doesn't need him. And she storms out
of the bathroom, and out of Le Bistro.

[BONUS: ONE YEAR AGO]

Shana goes into labor at the Diner during a terrible storm. Tess is
there with her, all phone lines are down, and a truck driver can't even
use his CB to radio for help. Shana insists she will drive herself to
the hospital but Tess ushers her out the door to drive her there. JJ
runs out of the house after his dog Bubba. Buck restrains Stacey from
following, but Clay dashes after him. JJ returns without Clay and Bubba
which worries Gwyn. Buck and Stacey grow closer, Gwyn finds out Clay was
hurt in the storm. Clay calls the police to report some stranded
motorists on Highway 14. And the stranded motorists are ... Dinah Lee
and Alex! Dinah Lee finds this out as she goes through his wallet and
finds a picture of Ava and Sandy. Dinah Lee yells at him for leaving
Ava, Alex said it was what he thought Ava wanted since someone came
between them - Clay! JUst then Clay enters chasing Bubba. Alex and Clay
trade barbs and Dinah Lee defends Clay. AT the end, Alex gives Dinah Lee
a ticket for rearending him.

That's it for Tuesday! Funny how today and a year ago today there was a
storm in Corinth ...
